Your expository style is excellent and your level of discourse pitch perfect. That you do this and encourage others fantastic. Serious Bob Ross/Mr Rogers vibes.
And I’m still thrilled when, 1 out of 10 times, I can finish the NYT hard sudoku before you WHILE you’re hosting and helping and explaining and I’m just scribbling.
You ask for feedback about such things. There’s mine.

Yes, the xwing can be avoided for what it’s worth. 4 is limited to c6 in r3. That places a 6 on c5r3.
Let’s see. We started a bit different. I started with the NE corner and then resolved r2 right to left.
Once the 1 is placed on c3r2, r2 becomes a partial baseline, resolving 1-5. The 2 is forced on r7, then the 4 on r5, and the 5 on r8. This resolves r8.
Oh. And places the 8 on c5r1. This seems to break the puzzle open. It resolves row by row, top down for the most part.
I started uploading here yesterday. Hope it helps others enjoy One Up and gives a little back. Thanks again.
3:12, no notes or x-wings but thanks for the tip, that may be useful later
