Swaggy, please invest in a baby body carrier for the baby, so u can strap her on you while you walk around & things or a stroller for safety. The receiving blanket help protects from when she spits up as well. Going down the hill just strap her in & turn the stroller facing you. I don’t understand how your stay was private & you received nothing during your stay .

Giving birth in Barbados privately is also extremely expensive, but it was worth it to me because you are so vulnerable when giving birth knowing someone specifically is there for you is comforting.
A blanket is best to use on the shoulder when taking up the baby etc
Receiving blankets is also good so she dnt throw up on your clothes
As Mila grows she is looking a little like Errol,the eyes.

Hi Swaggy, I had two girls and I felt it was best was we pierced their ears at a few months old this way worked for us so it can heal without them playing with it. I found when my nieces got theirs pass one year old, it seem to affect them more but I believe whatever works best for you💗

Baby growing so fast. You should use the stroller, the baby won’t fall out. Put it in the flat position. You will have back pain, holding Mila like that. I learned the hard way. Pushing belly out to hold the baby putting pressure on my back. Also you can band your belly tight, but the only thing is you will get hot but it helps. God blessed you and your family. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Shaggy that's quite reasonably. Private hospitals in Kingston is within the 1 million dollar and more. Both my girls haf baby at a private hospital and the bill was over a million dollars each. I'm glad you received great service at St. Ann's Bay.

If you use the safety straps in the stroller she will not fall out and the hill will not be a problem for the stroller as long as the path is smooth and not rocky.
My daughter got her ears pierced at 3 months old. Her grandmother got them pierced, and I was ok with it. But by the time she was a toddler 1-2 yrs old she started pulling at her ears and I thought that she would tear her ears so I let them close. Then ended up piercing them again in 3rd grade about 9 yrs old.
I waited until my daughter was able to make her own decision.

Pierce my granddaughters ears when she's 3 months. Love how your are coping with your baby
Hi Swaggy I'm from Trinidad and I know most Trinis get their child's ears pierced at two months old (it's sort of tradition) to wait till the baby has their first vaccine. I have two daughters aged 13 and the other aged 5 and when they turned 2months I took them. It healed properly, you have to wipe it with rubbing alcohol morning and evening. Turn the earrings to prevent it from sticking like making sure the hole isn't clogged. It should heal in about two to three weeks. You can then change it to gold earrings of your choice Better to do it before baby girl gets older and tugs at it and damages herself. Just my opinion here.... Whenever you feel you're ready to do it, two months, three, four or one year don't worry everything will work out well as long as you take proper care of it. Do take care Mama!
I was going to suggest the same, I’m from Scotland and we usually do it around 2 months after vaccines but before they’re old enough to pull on their ears

I preferred not to pierce the ears. But it is up to you and hubby and family discussions decisions.

That is wickedness they let the other mothers in labour to be fully dilated (fully open) before taking them in the delivery ward and then placed in a dorm, packed like sardines, with all the other birth mothers who deliver their babies.

I personally wouldn't be putting any hair band or anything on her head until she's a bit older,as the skull is still closing.
If you want to put headband or some hairstyle then perhaps start around 1year?, but I still would do it loosely. Just my opinion.
As for earrings ..hummmm..I don't know. It depends on when & if you can handle putting your child through it emotionally.
I personally wouldnt do it before 3,just because she may accidentally scratch it and pull it out. Or it may fall out somehow and she could put it in her mouth. ❤

You should get one of those baby carriers that you strap on yourself and Evrol could wear it too. Probably be more comfy for the child too
Always drink before breastfeeding,this definitely helps with the milk flow....the healthier choices would be water or natural juice ...girrrl ! U will be like a milk truck !!😂😂

This cost is still such a great deal for private care delivery compared to the US. I think this was a great choice my daughter delivered both our grandchildren at St. Andrews hospital and the cost was still way better than the US & the care was excellent! Nuff Love to you guys, excellent choice. 🤗

I'd leave the ear piercing until later. It's something for Mila to look forward to. I think babies with earrings look cute but when a baby cries, some times they pull on their own hair and ears in frustration so it's best to wait until that's no longer a thing. It's the carribean though so there will be pressure to get her pierced ASAP, it's all up to you at the end of the day.
It is very good to pierced her hears when she is still small like 7/9 months. That will be so quick for her then waiting until she’s grown. My daughter she was 6 months when i pierced hers which was better

Yes . Us and japan has the highest cost for birth. My c section was $10,000 but my insurance covered it and i only had to pay $100.

Swaggy and Errol, it won’t be too hot if you put a small blanket over your shoulder or a soft cloth so that the baby face doesn’t get on your clothes with the dye from the material. It can irritate her face and cause rash.
