I never knew that the cirrus training center was actually in Knoxville Tennessee. I live in Knoxville and if I was to ever buy a personal plane, it would be the vision jet so that’s really awesome.
You should go for a tour, it’s a amazing facility. Even if you don’t go for a tour just drive around the flight line you’ll see hundred jets and airplanes that are leaving the facility.

1st time viewer new subscriber!! I went to Eastern Airlines Flight School in 1990. Eastern Airlines went Bankrupt in early 1990s and Continental Airlines went to Chapter 11 bankruptcy. My chances of being an airline pilot in early 1990s was very slim. I went to venture capital private equity career route. 34 years later I still have the need for altitude and speed. Thank you for your video! What ratings and hours do I need to be an owner operator of this plane?

Kick ass landing in shifty winds at minimums over that (loooong) displaced threshold and as they vacate the runway the windsock shows a tail wind for extra spice. Nicely done.

Hey brother! Ex flight instructor here. I was soooo close to being a commercial pilot, but by the time I had enough hours in the late 80s, all the airlines were furloughing, and i was out of luck. Went back to school and wound up in IT. I do miss flying, but now that I’ve found your channel, hoping I can live vicariously through you. Great editing! 😊

Why is everyone so anxious to turn on the autopilot? I would like to get a feel of the plane up to 10,000 feet and then let the automation take over. At least while I’m starting to get to know the plane and every once in a while thereafter to maintain proficiency I hand flying the machine.
I wouldn’t say anxious at all. Following a syllabus so we had other tasks to focus on. Love to fly the Vision jet!
Just interested why did you land in Farnborough? Couldn´t you make it directly from Lugano to Wick? Is it due to the wind or any other reason? Because Lugano to Wick is 867 NM, which should be doable in one shot ... Thanks for your answer! Love your videos!

This is so cool! Just a question out of pure curiosity, how are you going from the EU to the US in a Vision Jet? Obviously it can't be a direct flight and to be honest I didn't think it would be possible just browsing on the Cirrus website but the fact that this trip is somehow possible is just another reason that this jet is awesome.
The Jet isn’t built for this type of use, But 100% possible! It would be much faster on an airline because we have to go through Greenland and Iceland to manage the fuel. These trips are about exploring and adventure. Also, when you get to EU or US you have so much more flexibility then airlines! Appreciate you watching. What is the actual flight range of the Cirrus? On the web I have read discordant things
Great question, most likely the reason you see answers all over the places because it’s never what is advertised. They published 1275 miles, That’s mostly for sales reasons, get you excited! I could do a balance calculation in this chat. It’s going to be impossible to give you an answer. It’s a constant management of fuel passengers and luggage. In general, I do not do legs over 1000 miles. Thank you for watching!

I understand the difference, it’s a habit, in Southern CA when speaking in general terms about locations we can be a hour from Los Angeles and say we are in Los Angeles, but really we are in Laguna Beach.
