- The Polar Patriots Warbond is now live, but is it any good?
Here's the latest Helldivers 2 News!
We have a bunch of new toys to chase after with new armor sets in the Superstore Reset, along with new weapons and gear in the Polar Patriots Warbond. I unlocked and tested all 3 of the new primary weapons, and there is both good and bad options being served up. There is also 3 new armor sets up for grabs in the warbond, but are they any good? Don't sleep on the gear items in this warbond, as both are good. And finally, Arrowhead's CEO has spoken up/out about the balance changes and how they are impacting the game.
Thanks again for your awesome support!

HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

The Galaxy’s Last Line of Offence.
Hoping the ceo takes the steering wheel away from Alexus and the balance team and gets this game going in the right direction.
Just get it. Wtf else we gonna get?
Id really rather have A BUNCH of new stratejims.
I've been sitting maxed money and samples since before the last crappy ones dropped.
Played with someone who brought the “less stun” booster. It doesn’t quite do its job. Still slowed about the same especially with 20 different spitting bugs taking turns and then hunters coming in to clean up
I’d like an armor or booster that is heavier to STOP those stuns and staggers from smaller bugs
This is the first Warbond I am not getting. I wanted to live out my Starship Troopers fantasy with the Tenderizer (that was also advertised as being mostly colored BLACK) and I expected at least medium pen with it, but it is just a worse Liberator. That Alexus guy needs to be fired & the CEO needs to take steps to bring fun back into the game, because it just isn't "fun" anymore. All the weapons suck enormously, just like most reviewers state, the Pummeler BARELY staggers - if you're lucky.
Hearing the CEO say "It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed" gives me genuine hope for the future of Helldivers ngl
His words mean nothing until the dev team un-nerf weapons and buff the crap weapons to actual relevance. Until then, words are just that: words.
CEOs say a lot of things. Relax.
Well they figured it out, just pre-nerf the guns so there’s no fun to lose out on in the first place. Least the new warbond suggested it. FYI, I knew they wouldn’t be good just watching the trailer. They’re basically all boring assault weapons except for the “charge for a minute and fire” gun lmao.
issue now is, hes part of the balancing problem... "cant increase magazine size without changing the 3d model. That wouldnt make sense." from 6 hours ago
I mean, that kind of issue seems fair tbh, models make up half the game. Half the reason gun games get smacked on is due to improper modeling, and with the depth that Helldivers 2 models have, a change such as bullet count needs to be reflected as well by the meticulous magazine system they have in place (discarded mags retain the bullets that were not fired)
I don't understand the Devs obsession with slow rate of fire weapons in a game where you are swarmed constantly. I would have loved a lower damage version of the PLAS-1 that was full-auto or even burst.
Slow rate of fire should hit hard and deal damage. Which is also not what we tend to have.
@@renardnoir2581 Agreed, primaries with low RoF should hit really hard. Eruptor (pre shrapnel NERF) was a prime example of how these weapons should work. If you only fire once every few seconds, that shot should kill whatever it hits, excluding titans and tanks. Even hulks and chargers being killed in a couple shots isn't overpowered as you needed to hit them in specific spots to pull it off, which when being swarmed by the horde of smaller enemies isn't that easy.
Idk why they are even nerfing weapons... it's not a pvp game. Let us have fun.
@@renardnoir2581
Eruptor did this and was fun because of this.
Apparently the nerf to the ground started because you could 1 shot chargers in the back some place. I had no idea you could even do that.
Instead of just fixing that one area make it so no one uses it anymore at higher levels. Gj balance team!
Why does nearly every weapon feel awful to play with?
This game requires you to feel underpowered and overwhelmed. I cannot stand this game any longer
Alexus Kravchenko - Killer of Fun. Destroyer of Games.
Bringer of Boredom
Commander of cope
Archenemy of Awesomeness
Enemy of democracy
same guy who destroyed Hello Neighbor 2 if you know you know
BTW their balancing team already killed another PVE game in the past.
Unless the CEO gets involved we are all doomed
What game?
@@vladdracul2379 Hello Neighbor 2
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The lead Dev in charge of balancing weapons and the game as a whole has gone on record as being against buffing weapons unless it is a last resort. He does not take fun into consideration. He nerfs any weapon that is preforming "too well" to bring it back into line with everything else as to encourage "gameplay diversity". If you want to find the interview where he does this, Look up the Gamesradar Patrik Lasota interview.
He should not be in charge of balancing gear for a co-op PVE game.
Maybe some competitive PVP thing where weapons over preforming negatively impacts the player experience, but not HD2.
He needs to be step down or something cause he casueing ppl to not buy warbonds its not worth it save yall moneys dont buythis. One or next
Note I heard he's the same balance changer from hello neighbor 2 and you know what happened to that game.
Tweet that at the CEO of HD2
The dude that is in charge of balancing is the same dude who ruined Hello Neighbor 2, so take that as you will. If it were my studio, I wouldn't want someone who is hell bent (no pun intended), on making things purposely unfun and going on record as doing so for "diversity" sake.
@@Deadspace251 yep... Most people agree he single-handedly killed Hello Neighbor 2 by removing features he personally didn't see a use for.
Arrowhead: " Look players, a Warbond with the title " Polar Patriots ". Did you expect we gave the armor certain perks to fit into Frozen planets ? Like not being fazed by Blizzards or moving normally through deep snow ? Maybe not sliding on Ice with the Spikes you can actually see on the Boots ?
No, we just slapped the same boring " perks " on them like all the other armors have.
Oh and we made all new rifles useless. Enjoy this Warbond! "
Like the dev coming out and saying "you want us to properly test a warbon" then gives a date of 2028. It takes them 4 years to make 3 weapons and perks that are not garbage to play? I think the weapon/balance team needs new people in charge or just fire the entire staff.
It would be more exciting to get a freezing weapon like Mr. freeze in Batman. They could incorporate freeze resistance armor with it.
I agree they hit the mark with the arc armors. Then failed at the last one where they could have made those armors fire resistant then this one cold resistant and making moving thru snow a breeze. The armors I feel are more cosmetic than anything.
The armors are just pain reskins of existing armors. They're not even unique like some of store armors
Is it definite that the crampons we see on the boots for the new armour are strictly cosmetic? They don't help us move better on ice?
Because it's cool that you can feel the reduction of friction on ice (pun not intended!), but if they're going to release a cold-weather themed armour set with crampons, and not hook into that… Feels like a hugely missed opportunity.
And I've been saying for a while that they absolutely need to start giving various perks to the helmets. Like thermal vision that you can toggle on or off to help spot enemies on frozen planets, night vision when it's dark, haptic proximity alerts when near samples, etc. I could name a dozen more helmet sensor perks off the top of my head...
Don’t be fooled. They will nerf the stun feature a week before the next warbond.
That’s what I said about the last warbond, they make everything before useless before the next one so we’ll buy it. I give it a couple days when these will get “balanced” sick of it
I think they've learned their lesson with the Hulks and Arc Thrower. I think they may just give the charger a bit more stun resistance to try to "balance" it out. Who knows what that will break and what they'll take away to fix it, but my money's closer on they're looking at tweaking the enemies more than the weapons for things like that.
You know the concussive liberator is actually pretty good since it got buffed. Everyone talking about this smg, yet all seem to be ignoring that one…
@@steeljawXcould have changed it without completely removing the identity of the weapon. Make it so it can stun 1 hulk but the 2nd hulk only gets flinched and the 3rd damage.
It already had the downsides of being useless against the gunships, occasionally teamkilling and shots missing if you hit a dead body.
They already nerfed the range and the fire rate so that fun feature was the only real benefit of buying the warbond to use with it.
@@ModernWelfare9 You say that yet incendiary shotgun is strong as hell. It has always been a pretty good weapon, people are just afraid of it because too many people have crappy awareness on weapon spread.
Devs don’t realize this not an MMO and there is no competitive factor here between players therefore their goal of “balancing” with all the nerfs is misguided. Their goal should be to make all options “fun” and entertaining. Make the player feel good about their selection.
No, what actually happens is power-creep ensues, and then you run into a issue where people fight each other over trying to get a piece of the action. That can absolutely happen. Anyone who's played Darktide when it got its big power-fantasy update back in around october knows what I mean. You have more wiggle room in PvE co-op games, but you still need to be mindful.
@@drooskie9525
Right so then.. Idea here..
Fix that area of the weapon. You dont gut the weapon to a point that no one uses it anymore.
Add new game modes... Add new enemies that require different styles.
I dont find making artificial challenge by making weapons feel awful a good idea. Fun gun play is key in any shooter. If the guns not fun to use then you are lost.
Where the issue is presently is that there are a number of weapons that are not effective and it is all the early levels have available to them. They get a new effective weapon and then it gets nerfed.
@@drooskie9525 I dont see how in this game we all get the exact same rewards regardless of how many kills each individual gets same XP same money same samples. So why compete on who can get the most kills etc?
Sounds like they do realize, the problem is that the guy in charge of game balance is the guy who (most people agree) single-handedly killed Hello Neighbor 2 by removing all the features he personally thought were extraneous... So what he has done, historically, on multiple games is balance them to be exactly how he wants to play them, and he doesn't seem to want his games to require any nuance or depth. Like, literally just google "Alexus Hello Neighbor 2" to see how bad it is. Came up for me when I searched something as vague as that after learning about this.
Considering there are usually 800+ enemies per game, it's kinda dumb to make 1 enemy take an entire magazine and in some cases 2 magazines to die.
That's why stratagems exits. I think they meant for the guns to do less so that stratagems become a necessary part of play. If the guns were all you needed, the game wouldn't play the same or have the same shenanigans.
@@adammoniz8049 It isn't impossible for there to be both strong primaries and more powerful support weapons/stratagems.
@@adammoniz8049Ok, what do you do when all your strategems are on cool down and you are being mobbed, and/or you don’t get a chance to use your stategem because you are getting the snot kicked out you? It just isn’t fun. Strategems should be a support for the small arms, not the other way around.
Not a single nerf they have done to "balance" the game has made it more fun. Not one. But hey, at least the new weapons released preemptively nerfed...
That preemptive nerf sounds like something Super Earth Command would do.
i have to strongly disagree here. seeing EVERYONE with the railgun and EVERYONE with the automatic shotgun was no fun at all. They just were to strong, and to versitile. They needed a nerv and it got the people to use multiple different weapons. Sometimes things are just to strong ...
@@Hosenbisla Because if you played helldive, any other weapon was not very viable and felt like shit to use. The nerf initially didn't even get people to use other weapons all that much, it just made the game more unfun to play.
The meta wasn't fun, it just was strict because of how underpowered everything is.
@@Hosenbisla I disagree with you. The reason why everyone was using those weapons was because every other weapons were toilet bowl water. What they could’ve done was fix the trash weapons and just up the difficulty.
@Hosenbisla I agree with you. But the facts remain, they were used not because they were strong, but because it was the only viable option for 7, 8, and 9 level dif. I have been saying since day 1, all the primarys are way to underpowered. Buff everything to pre-nerf breaker levels. Release the stalwart and make it a primary, and add then tweak enemy spawns to make it harder. More chaff, bump up the armor of the chargers/biles. Make it so a bile requires real teamwork to take down. The alternative is everyone continues to run the same guns. Same strategems. I quit playing because the only loadout I felt I could run was 500kg and the rail strike. Everything else felt inferior.
For primarys, tge jar for bugs, scorcher for bots. The sickle is good too cuz infinite ammo. The rest.... meh
After what they did to the Eruptor I’m not buying any more war bonds. What’s the point? Even if there’s cool, fun or powerful guns- they’ll just nerf them to hell. At least this time the guns come pre-nerfed, none of those sound fun or powerful.
To be fair you can earn the warbonds easy, buying is just to support devs and if you really want it early, but hey if you just earn it maybe it'll be buffed by then
@@scallahan1294 Why should I spend the time to farm SC and Medals to purchase the warbond and contents, when the devs want every weapon to be just as powerful, if not worse than, my starting Liberator and Redeemer? That's the issue many have right now. What is the point of farming things when it a months time the work I put in won't matter?
@@SealFormulaMasterexactly. What's the point of getting the time to learn a gun when it's not going to be that way in a few weeks time
At least it won't get your hopes up
I was grinding medals to get the Eruptor and the nerfed it before I even had a chance to use it. Lame af
One nice thing about the new Warbond is the fact AH balancing team managed to pre-nerf all that crap ahead of release. Guess they didn't want to give us anything good and take it away. Thanks Balance Team!
I WANT FIRE RESISTANCE
Just a couple of armor sets would be nice
I am still waiting for heavy arc resistance armor
I would rather see them tweak how ground based fire works. It shouldn't light you up like you're doused in gasoline. Maybe a slow burn only while you are standing in it. We're in armor after all.
No, you're gonna be on fire and you're gonna like it damnit
you and me both lol 😃
Honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with nerfs of weapons if it was in the view of "Bottom Up", where lower tier weapons are buffed to match the stronger ones THEN nerf. Considering all that's happened with drama then I'd rather let the devs take their time.
That's already basically what they do
The OP weapons get nerfed, the bad weapons get buffed
Not necessarily, they nerf the newer weapons that bring alot of fun, but then it gets nerfed heavily, and reduces alot of options.
@@Gaelic-Spirit You have it mixed up brother, it's the opposite. "Bottom up" balancing means leaving "OP" or strong weapons alone for a time, and buffing weaker weapons and guns to make them actually enticing so the "meta" stuff isn't always picked. They nerfed Erupter, Railgun, Crossbow (which wasn't even good to begin with), and Breaker before even bothering to buff the other guns and stratagems to compete with them in the first place. I believe in a PVE game like Helldivers "fun" should be more of a concern than "balance". But hey, that's just my take.
@@Gaelic-Spirithahaha no.
The good weapons get EVISCERATED and the bad guns get minor buffs that don't matter.
Eruptor: loses shrapnel, loses half it's ammo, smaller explosion, *but 40 more points of damage*
Liberator: slight increase to damage
WOW OMG SO FAIR AND BALANCED I feel so much better knowing all of my guns are varying flavors of useless
So, by this logic, you'd prefer everything to be buffed up to the level of the Eruptor? Or the Quasar? So the moment a piece of gear comes in overtuned, you want everything else to be brought up to its level?
Quit clownin'
Arrowhead desperately needs to take inspiration from Deep Rock Galactic’s weapons. Each and every single weapon, side arms and grenades included, feels unique and holds its own purpose. I cannot fathom how they are releasing this many weapons and feel like they can both balance the guns and slot them into their own specific uses like they want. I’d rather have a lesser number of unique-feeling guns than an abundance of slightly different guns. Balancing would be so much easier as well
20+ weapons and there’s only 3-5 archetypes to use, EVERY weapon falls right in line within that archetype +-10% stat variation.
All standouts were butchered, all peaks flattened out, the deepest downsides given light patches to make them fall
In line.
We have LESS weapon variation now than we did at launch.
This isn’t “balance by spreadsheet” you can work wonders with some light spreadsheet manipulation.
This is ROTE STANDARDISATION of the most grey-paste variety.
I love how our weapons are constantly getting weaker and weaker but its PERFECTLY FINE for all spewers to inflict instant deatg just by looking at you. Their damage is CLEARLY broken and not working correctly but thats perfectly acceptable as long as our weapons struggle to kill anything.
Yeah, it's absolutely mind boggling, they say they nerfed spewers accuracy and damage, and it ends up oneshotting you, through a cliff, through a building, through a full shield, through full health, and while diving through the air.
Smg will get nerfed :D It seems fun to use and it also looks like you can have new role in the battle but still nerfed bc it's fun and useful, everything must be useless, harder and less fun -Alexus
I saw a clip that showed it could stun lock stalkers definitely can’t have that it’s way too useful
The only Warbond that offered weapons and armor traits that made sense and actually gave us hope of what was potentially to come for future warbonds has been the cutting edge. How have the devs not learned from this?
Light Armor penetration isn't a feature it's literally the BASE ability for everything. Meaning unless its stats are actually good or there's an additional ability added the weapons are meh.
They thought they are Fromsoftware by making a difficult game, but forgot that even in Souls games you can One Shot every boss with some weapons 🤣🤣🤣
The Tenderizer lives up to its name, it just tenderizes the enemy for you to kill them with something else. I personally have 2 primaries i focus on and rarely ever change which feels awful with how many weapons there are.
Dont ever say which 2 primaries it is or theyll make sure you never use either of them again...
It would be cool if it had like 30 rounds but it only has 10 no Bueno these are alien planets not Connecticut ( we have some very anti-American magazine restrictions)
just a thought, id like my fellow helldivers input on it:
i think a gunsmith type system might fit perfectly into the game. the super destroyers could easily be outfitted with a manufacturing section, allowing more customization for the guns and possibly helping the balancing issues. example: outfitting guns with different types/ calibers of bullets to fit the enemy type they’re trying to counter. instead of having multiple breaker shotguns, you have one. And you build that shotgun w incendiary rounds or buck shot rounds or bird for the specific enemy type, obviously each having their respective draw backs, magazine capacity variations, etc. so people can stick with a gun they like the feel of, while still being able to tackle a variety of enemies w that weapon. i think having hollow points, armor piercing rounds, explosive, etc would really change the game and make you think more about the weapon you want to bring into battle and build. and make enemy armor types have a lot more impact
just something i was thinking about. let me know what yall think! Happy Hunting 🫡
Please make Eruptor back to what it used be. Just keep the current mag count, and the fixed aoe. Not being able to effectively kill mud tier enemies with such a slow weapon makes it feel useless.
IM ON MY WAY HOME BOYS!!!! LETS WRECK THIS MAJOR ORDER!
Everytime they release a bunch of new items, the one people like the most is always the one that gets nerfed. imagine a game filled with weapons like the prenerf eruptor.
Im happy they are adding new stuff to the game, but at the same time im getting tired that most of the items are completly usless...
Veld is almost at 70% by now, acamar is only 3% but if we eliminate one we can all focus on the other.
5 hours later 12 hours left veld is 90% and acamar is 10%, there is still potential to fail as well as potential to succeed
That smg shouldve been a secondary. Ill never use that for a primary nor the first one.
Same. Secondary’s are either the defender or the grenade pistol. I know a lot of people use the pistol, but I’ve got no time for that. SMG would’ve fit nice in there.
the space deagle is basically a middle ground between the senator and the peacemaker. Decent damage with less mag capacity. Fires as quick as you can pull the trigger. A decent secondary imo.
To be fair this major order suffered so much from the Sony problem and the nerfs, we should get an extra day to finish it
Not one step back
Can’t win them all. I actually want to experience a world order failure. Just to see what happens.
Or free medals and samples for F'ing us all around...
Free medals for fuckin with us
It’s not their fault the community threw a hissy fit instead of waiting for the company to do things professionally
There's one particular thing that's really been grinding my gears about dev teams/balance teams in regards to looking at game data to make changes. They all look at spread sheets and think "NERF" is the response. They almost all ignore context to the data and who they're supposed to be making these changes for. It's one of the reasons why I stopped playing Warframe. They did the same thing until they absolutely broke frames and weapons as far as usability was concerned.
I miss my slugger
I wonder if it's possible to create test servers and choose maybe a hundred (or a thousand) or so random players to help test with the balance, maybe a few days before launch. Maybe they could be compensated with a small sc gift for their time or as an incentive. Maybe this can help with the issue of having stuff in the game under or over perform whenever new stuff comes in the game. I've seen a few games with this and it seems to be working for them.
I appreciate this format im always updated on what's happening with helldivers 2 because of u💪🙏
🙏
Oh they're going to get rid of the pummeler stun.
The Tenderizer not being medium armor penetrating is a crime
They sacked the community manager who the community loved because he was the one who encouraged the negative reviews that saved the game from Sony's shenanigans... Indirectly saving the game.
Kept the balance guy who the community can't stand because he removes the fun and will kill the game like he did to Hello Neighbour 2.
Make this make sense.
Dude, Spitz was a POS. He's been telling people to GFT since launch when people were upset Arrowhead was still selling the game to people when they knew only 10% of their purchasers could play the game weeks after launch. Spitz told everyone to STFU and stop whining. He can go fudge himself.
No??? That CM is widely regarded as potentially the least professional member of Arrowhead. They're a huge asshole and a narc to boot. You ever read the messages they put out announcing they were fired? Tried to frame it like they were a martyr lmfao
no one loved spitz lol. he aggravated the community at every turn
LOL@ the insane number of EATs in that defense mission clip. Whoever was your EAT guy was ON POINT with that cool down/call in.
We had 2! S2 & P4 were lobbing them the second they were off cooldown in addition to a team reload + supply pack Recoilless Rifle. We absolutely tore through the Chargers/Titans.
Before giving homage to the late Bernard Hill (King Theoden) with a 4 mech ride out.
(S1)
Love your videos man. I wait everyday for the Lt.ByzzLitebear video to give me all my Helldivers news 😁
with how mid the weapons are in helldivers 2 right now, it's no wonder that we're losing major orders left and right. i feel like if AH made the "gimmicky" primary weapons (like the liberator penetrator) actually have good dps, and not just be good for killing one or two enemies, we would be doing much better. that, and the fact that every single time we do good against a faction they give us like 32 planets to liberate and 48 hours to do it...
The weapons are so cool for like 2 weeks until they whip out their spreadsheets and nerf the guns. I swear the balance team hates joy.
That opening clip reminds me of why I love video game physics.
I love the new grenade. DOT is great for softening up the big bugs and killing the small ones right away, saves your smg ammo for where it’s needed. I was running a loadout with the pummeler, grenade pistol, incendiary impact, flamethrower and supply pack to keep me full of grenades. It was a ton of fun burning and blasting through the map.
Alexus Kravchenko the killer of fun us the lead on weapon balance. Watch him Hello Neighbor 2 to Helldivers 2.
Kravchenko Steiner dragovich
It's Patrik Lasota, Not Alexus Kravchenko.
God why cant we get a plasma based rapid fire weapon? I hate these damn charge up primary guns.
Scorcher
Scythe?
Plasma based. NOT energy. And the Sickle is the gun your thinking of
I wonder what it'll take for the devs to add armor sets that actually cause players to think about what armor they're using before a mission? Like snow-planet passives for the Polar Warbond, or flame resistant sets for fire tornado planets? Enhanced vision sets for planets with vision obscurations like sandstorms or blizzards?
Indeed. There is zero reason the polar armors don't negate the "slow" effect from deep snow, at the very least.
It's really confusing to me why the devs think smgs should have bigger mags, do more damage, and have better accuracy than assault rifles.
Unfortunately i had to hang my cape the balance is so bad with titans mass spawn and sht weapons to try and counter it and underpowered air support
We need more medium armor penetration weapons and maybe even one or two heavy armor penetration primary weapons
The shock booster is kind of lackluster. The Muscle booster pretty much does the same job except allows you to run through rough terrain better. The SMG and fire impact grenade are the only good things in the warbond.
That intro clip is funny. I had something similar happe to me last weekend with a brood commander. I had killed it on an extraction type mission (not the defense type) and it started to rag doll spin around and then started spinning and moving away from me across the map. It was hilarious
FYI other UA-camrs actually tested the smg against bots. It does NOT stagger Devastators.
Booster is pointless - just bring muscle enhancement.
Incendiary impact is probably the only good thing in this warbond.
Yep, not even with headshots. It's just a Defender.
It will stun rocket devastators if you hit them in the rocket pods.... sometimes....
the charge up mechanic worked with overclocking the OG pre nerf railgun, it was devastating and worth doing but there was that chance of cookin it too much and blowing yourself up so it was risk/reward but still worth the reward. The purifier's just weird, total miss as is imo
Motivational Shocks Modifier effect should honestly just be in the game by default.
As in we shouldn't be getting stun-locked / slowed to a crawl from every bug attack.
I'm reaching a point with the premium warbonds where they're all really mid, with very little that really gets me excited and even when I do get excited, I'm usually disappointed. I really wish they would put more into them that were interesting or unique, instead of derivative. (ie. new AR is basically just a worse Liberator with a cool aesthetic) I really hope they start making changes to weapons with the intention of making each one unique instead of nerfing them. (It'd be nice if they were designed around the idea of each weapon having a purpose and feeling different than other same class weapons instead of just dealing more or less damage and have medium armor pen, which I still think is really overrated for primaries)
Nuked their community then set a system in place that needs massive amounts of players. Genius.
The community nuked the community, and they were proud to do it. I guess kids should listen to adults sometimes.
@@Millers-Mausoleum Interesting take on such a well-documented event. Sony still isn't giving reach-arounds for digital rim jobs.

@@machinech183 thanks for proving my point
@@Millers-Mausoleum Your mental gymnastics are making my head hurt, you go around the comment section and blame the community. What for? It was a reasonable reaction to the shitstorm Sony dished out.
Buff weapons make us more powerful not the other way around. If you're worried about it being too easy for us with powerful weapons, throw more enemies at us. Never nurf in a co-op shooter. Simple
I am so absolutely stoked for the CW-4 Arctic Ranger armor! I love the scout perk and have been dying to get another scout armor that was fully light armor! This one looks beautiful!
Major order fail? No surprise. A whole bunch of us WILL NOT come back untill Baskinator is gone. Her mismanagement of her team, from day one, has been alarming.
Why would anyone care what you do the only person losing out from you hanging back and not wanting to play is you. It’s kind of like going on a hunger strike. No one cares.
@@Millers-Mausoleum then why are you talking at all? No one cares.

@@newavestudios9883 you. I can tell because you went to the caps lock zone. Don’t ever go Full Caplock.
Jesus. Ffs do something about armor perks! Extra medkits, grenades, recoil control. Blah blah blah. How boring.
Arc thrower main here. I think the new plas-101 will be awesome. I should already have the timing down to efficiently shoot
I really don't like it when devs always use "pick rates" as a main metric to balance weapons. Every game that I played that does this always have had good weapons nerfed due to "high pick rates".
They always nerf instead of understanding why people like it in the first place and then buffing the under performing ones to match.
Of course there will always be outliers like the quasar las cannon.
why... .are smgs primary weapons in this game? i dont understand this. they are automatic pistols.
As soon as you catch fire, no stim will save you, even if you hardly touch it.
I know this barely helps, but if you dive to the ground the moment you catch fire, you can shorten the time you're burning. You can sometimes survive long enough to stim.
Dive first, then stim. Only way I've found to survive burning.
Dive then stim. Always works if you dive the moment you realize you're on fire. Any delay, like shooting a bug or reloading, will kill you.
Get ready for the Pummeler's ability to stun to get nerfed into the ground, based on the balance team's ideology.
Seems like everyone has forgotten that there's still 177 countries that got de-listed. No one is talking about it. Such a shame everyone's so gungho that Sony backed down for now that they've forgotten the rest of our fellow helldovers.
That is now an issue with Steam. They're likely in negotiations with Sony to make sure this kind of thing never happens again.
My point still stands. Doesn't matter who it is, we're still missing a huge portion of people globally.
@kegcodex is being delisted stopping the one's that own the game from playing it? If so, that sucks. If not, then I agree with the previous reply.
@@ParadoxCyphaonly from buying more copies of the game. You can still play
They've released statments that they are in discussions with sony and valve to reverse this action. According to ceo statements, getting sony to back off os the psn link was an incredibly hard thing to accomplish. Give the devs time and have a little faith, its only been a couple days.

The Tenderizer is a combination of the 'Battle Rifle' from Halo, PLUS the Moritta Combat rifle from Starship Troopers.
That arm is now Blade blade!
Would love pre patch Europter back!!
A freeze weapon would have been amazing for this warbond.
I look forward to someday being able to bring something other than Incindiary Breaker vs bugs. When they buff/undo some nerfs.
The new incendiary grenade I've started calling the spicy soup can or hot coffee thermos :P
We have LESS weapon variation now than we did at launch (as in before the first AoE primary was added).
This isn’t “balance by spreadsheet” you can work wonders with some light spreadsheet manipulation, especially if you also account for a “neat feature” field after the basic numbers.
This is ROTE STANDARDISATION of the most grey-paste variety.
This is by far one of the best channels for helldivers content
So the tenderizer doant just have light armor pen, it seems to do full damg insted of half, to light armor. This means it will do mutch better against brood comanders and nursing spewers ex.
The problem is the devs haven't made any efort to explain this Stat, which can also be seen in the midum armor pen of the HMG.
For the purifier they really should have just made the charge thing a alt fire mode. Or rather, have it fire like the scorcher, but if you really want to, you can charge it up.
Armor that increases Carried Ammo and Reload speed!
I just with the new armor in the warbond made you run faster in snow
i hope they'll look into the patrol spawnrates, because it is unfun if not unplayable, in a duo or trio squad.
Funny statement: The Pummeler will struggle at Longer ranges.
It's an SMG not a sniper rifle... this makes sense. It fits for the weapon type.
a deployable cover type stratagem would be pretty cool i think. great vid
I only just got the purifier and have only tried it against smaller mobs, where it is definitely mediocre. Which makes it not good for a general or all-purpose build. I suspect the intention is for it to be used in a diverse team loadout where someone takes on a role that is more focused on targeting the bigger mobs with squishy weak spots where explosion damage is supposed to be good.
PLAS-101 might just turn out to be like the blitzer, later on down the line they’ll probably buff the charge speed
I honestly love the Tenderizer and pummler. I haven't used any primary outside the scythe and scorcher until this warbond. The Verdict is a decent option, it should have gotten medium armor pen to make it better, but I enjoy it.
The new handgun is super fun it definitely completely replaces base pistol and puts it up there with the grenade pistol and auto pistol
The tenderizer needs some adjustments badly. I played one round with it last night on challenging and it was rough to use. In its current state, there isn’t any reason to select this over other primaries.
The new SMG is solid but I don’t really see a difference between it and the first SMG (other than lower rate of fire).
I haven’t tried the third gun yet because I had to unnecessarily buy armor I didn’t need and didn’t have enough war bonds when I unlocked page 3. Hopefully this gun is better.
after the previous patch nerfing literally half the guns, i tested a few and the ones i tested were severely weakened. for example my personal favorite support, the anti-material rifle, i was unable to 2 shot a bile spewer unlike before. it took me over an entire magazine (each magazine has 6 or 7 bullets for 5 or 6 total magazines) and then some just to kill ONE. it didn't feel like a sniper rifle anymore, it felt like a NERF gun with a scope. i really hope they fix all of this sometime soon before releasing new warbonds every other week....
Tenderizer isn't "mid" it's "shit", by the description it has bigger caliber which came with the cost of fire rate and mag capacity. So the dmg per hit is the same and armor penetrating is the same as first rifle. So it is just shittier version of a starter rifle, all of that debuffs for smaller recoil is just not worth it. Not mentioning that laws of physics are committing suicide when you read that a "higher caliber gun has lower recoil".
The arm used to salute to democracy does not stop saluting. Even in death
At work all day, and now im more excitednfor the super store than the warbond. Been waiting for heavy armor with xtra grenades
Thinking about getting Steeled Veterans warbond over the new one
The new pistol really needs medium armor penetration to be worth using, compared to the revolver.
For a moment I hoped the Purifier would be a heat-based weapon, sort of a mini-Quasar. That would be a fair trade IMO, having a slow rate of fire as a charge mechanic in exchange for infinite ammo. Otherwise, it just seems like a worse Scorcher.
I think that would help to differenciate the weapon, and it could help it find a niche within a role if it had infinite ammo. You could have the Breaker and its variants made to fulfill a role of "delete horde now" in exchange of limited ammo, while the Blitzer trades range for infinite ammo, and the Purifier could trade fire rate for a longer range while retaining infinite ammo. All of these options could help with horde clear, but one could be adapted to a particular Helldiver's style.
The purifier should be instant shot then a CD. It would feel better. Maybe even 3 shot and then it needs to cool down. This way you can run around while the CD runs and pull it out again.
That would at least make it feel more fun.
at the end of the day the airstrikes versus gun use is the underlying question, we use gns until we meet higher ranked armor then we airstrike, it will come down to airstrike versus gun use, airstrikes should be more precise or powerful but less frequent but guns should have more armor pen and slightly buffed damage, thats what i see in the future, especially given we dont get AS in warbonds, from a design perspective and financial perspective it makes sense.
using power factors is too scientific and barely takes player behaviour into account, whereas player behaviour is where fun meets power factoring. and the peeps in weapon design dont seem too interested in fun, just raw number crunching.
The starting liberator is more fun than the “premium” weapons, that’s backwards
I've seen footage of people using the Motivational Shock booster and they all agreed that it's essentially useless. They were hit by acid from the small mobs and it wasn't that much of a difference, maybe 15% less slowed but still not enough to warrant equipping it. Did you record any footage that shows it's more useful than what they were saying?
The fun in games like this for me is to blast through mob of monsters with giant weapon, blood and limbs flying. The feeling of being overpowered to be overpowered was gone every nerfs they gave us. They introduced us to rail gun, arc thrower, quasar, exosuit, eruptor, etc just for them to remove the fun(nerf) to the point it’s unviable to use. Like they want to nerf the old warbond weapon to make the new one looks powerful, then will nerf it after another new warbond comes. Like the new AR is just liberator new skin.
