Years ago, I was a courier driver and once had to deliver to Marshall. I was like a kid in a sweet shop and they were so gracious to show me around. They were doing a Vox amp there at the time.

Hi this messag I have put elsewhere, on youtubes Marshall Factory Tour, and Marshall chats, but they delete it, I'll try again... I worked in the late 60's for Paddy Nolan, Nolan Amps, a close friend of Marshalls, I would often go to Marshalls workshop, and Jim visited Nolan. On one of my trips to Marshall, maybe 69, I was given a book they didn't need any more, the booka has Marshall tech's notations and some later by Nolan builders. The book was "Electric Guitar Amplifier Handbook" first edition by Jack Darr, I still have the book, they used it to copy, modify the Fender Bassman Amp. True Story.

i had the good fortune to be sponsored by Marshall in the 1990s. They let me borrow the Nigel Tufnel stack that went to 20. It was fantastic
!!! Love the Mod Target amp autographed by Weller and Co. . If you want me to color correct this for you, I'd be delighted. Just reach out . I do video production in Massachusetts and have 40 years experience.

Too much about the newer models, not nearly enough about the golden age stuff. Only one sentence about the master model, the greatest Marshall ever. Also the bit about the Bluesbreaker, saying that it was Cream that recorded the Beano album is proof he doesn’t know jack. 😬

Dude doesn't even know Marshall history... his years are way off. The first 100w (JTM-100) was built in 1966... not 1968! The Master Volume circuits 2203/2204 was designed by Steve Grindrod in 1976... not "the late 60's early 70's" as this ignoramus is telling you!

I can't believe this guy is the archivist. Don't listen to him. Beside the fact that he's carelessly leaning on the Number 1 while precariously hanging off the edge, his information is so misleading. Makes it sound like the JCM800 all came with 2 channels, the JCM900 was the first with a line out, JCM2000 is the only one with 2 speaker outs, etc. And that's just the stuff I know about, let alone everything else he should know. Very poor information here.
