There is no render right now as Corona renderer, You're amazing!! I hope in the future we can just export it to vantage, so we can get the best of two worlds (CPU and GPU)... Thank you for your work
Thank you for that comment, we really really appreciate it! For feature suggestions, we have similar ones logged already but if you post your suggestion on the forums (forum.corona-renderer.com/) that would be the best so that the entire team can see it. Nejc
Corona doesn't have a color managed workflow and doesn't have a full ACES implementation (just the "sweetener" curve that acts somewhat like a LUT) and this requires no changes to color input at all. If that still leaves some question unanswered, please post over on the forums where our devs can get into the more technical issues :) forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php - thanks! Tom
No way as in a single button press or a Corona-provided function, no, sorry. You can check on the forums at forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=29.0 to see if any users have a process that lets them build a LUT that simulates the tone mapping though. Thanks! Tom
I still prefer VRay. 'Been using it since the initial release so I'm not intimidated by the technical complexity. In architectural work, rendering buckets rather than progressive rendering can save your ass in the last couple hours before a deadline. But the Post effects in Corona 8 have improved since version 6, and seem to produce some really sexy results.
Hi! Sorry to hear you are having some problems. A quick suggestion, check if "Clear VFB between renders" is checked in the System tab of the Render Settings (otherwise, Corona will redraw pixel by pixel over the previous image in the VFB - eventually the new image completely overwrites the old, but it looks like a ghost image at first). Unfortunately I can't share a screenshot, one of the problems with UA-cam comments for reporting issues - forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=29.0 on the forums though allows that :) If the Clear VFB checkbox is not the issue, then for any bugs and issues, please submit a ticket via support.chaos.com/requests/new (our helpful support team don't track comments on UA-cam, but send in a ticket and they will be on the case!). Always be sure to mention which version of Corona, and which version of the host software, when sending in a report. Hope something here helps! Tom
Not sure what you mean - best thing is to give us an example image, which can be done over on the forums since UA-cam comments don't allow such things (and developers etc. won't see it here either). I'd suggest forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=29.0 as being a good place to ask, with a screencap (and possibly some added annotation) to illustrate what you mean, so we can take a look if all is normal or not! Thanks! Tom
ACES OT is a tone mapping operator and you cannot use it when putting the image back together Linear style (it shifts / clips values because that is what Tone Mapping operators do). In that case you should apply it after all the linear work is done so on top of the stack in Photoshop / After Effects. That is if I understood your statement correctly :) Nejc
@@ChaosCorona Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Isn't exr suppose to ignore tone mapping? I made a try rendering without tone mapping, while RGB in PS looked similar to result in Corona frame buffer, CShading_Beauty had tonemapping somehow applied to it. I Did use "save all" option from the frame buffer if it makes any difference. CShading_Beauty = RGB?
@@blacklight4720 hmm, I would suggest opening up a thread over on our forums (forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php) because it seems like one of those topics where there's multiple different answers. Nonetheless, as per my knowledge, when you're trying to "reconstruct" the beauty image back in post you should be using 32 bit EXR exports of all CEssential render elements with no operators active in the stack (except exposure). You add them together using Linear Add (or whatever it is called in your post software). The reason you want the stack to be clear is to make sure none of the operators are clamping or in general changing the pure linear output. If you change it then the math won't work as it did before and you won't get a matching result. I think this Docs page might be of use - docs.chaos.com/display/CRMAX/Render+Elements#expand-BasicRenderElementCompositing . The CShading_Beauty render element should be the same as the regular beauty although it does gives you the ability to disable denoising and B&G on it. That said it is a copy of the beauty. Hope that helps, otherwise I'd really suggest opening up a thread on the forums. Nejc
Glad you enjoyed them, sorry you found the sound quality a problem - was it the overall sound, or just the overall volume, so we can look into it for future recordings? Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona the problem is in the voice volume, a bit saturated (we can hear the creaks which kinda hurt the ears), so I would suggest reducing the volume or adding a volume limiter with compression.

The BEST render engine in the world. Waiting for Chaos Vantage supported Corona materials. Thanks a lot!!!

How does Corona handle texture color input when using ACES? Do I have to rename textures like in Vray?

Is there a way I can export the tonemapping operations as a lut so I can do compositing in an external software and apply tonemapping after the fact?

DONDE SE PUEDE ADQUIRIR ESA PLACA POSTERIOR??
This one is actually a free HDRI from Poly Haven, at polyhaven.com/a/red_hill_curve . Hope this helps! Tom
hi, is the Tonemapping stack work from bottom to top or top to bottom?
ua-cam.com/video/paQP2XYQyEs/v-deo.html :) Top to bottom, we weren't going to leave that important info out of the tutorial ;) Thanks! Tom
the tool panel with tone mapping doesn't show in VFB, its opening only in a single window. How i could see (post, stats, history and est)
Howdy! It could be the panel is hidden. If you click on "tools" at the top of the Corona VFB window you'll toggle it back on.
Does that help? Nejc

Corona render has better bump then Vray and also a much better denoiser.. I'm talking from experinece .:)
I have a weird bug that makes the provirus render shadow like a ghost image on the new render
