@gopapillon The messiah's name was always going to be Jesus according to Zechariah Chapter 6... which is the same name as the post exile high priest ,Yeshua!
if the concept of Messiah and God are separate then it doesn't automatically follow that sins can be forgiven.. only God can forgive sins. furthermore if the expectation of Messiah is to reverse the events of Genesis 3 Genesis 6 and Genesis 11 then by Definition messiah has to be more than just a man.
Jesus being born of Mary but not of Joseph is not a problem according to Jewish history because I believe during the reign of Queen Alexandra Jewish law made Heritage pass on, by matrilineal Bases.
A basis for the Trinity can be established in the Old Testament by passages like Amos 4:11Isaiah 48:16.. and Judges chapter 2:1 and Daniel 7:9-14
Support for the idea of God becoming man in Scripture are Deuteronomy 18 verses 15 to 18 Focus of the verse speaks of the coming Messiah coming from lineage of Israel like unto moses.
We also have Exodus chapter 23 verse 20 and 21 the context of which is speaking about the future Endeavor of going over Jordan then we come to Joshua chapter 5 verses 13 to 15 and the context of this passage is having just gone over the Jordan into Israel.
Another proof of this idea perhaps most glaringly Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 4-10... the first thing you want to pay attention to is titles in verse 4 and verse 9... Hashem and the word of the Lord these titles are used interchangeably there's some definite implication there but the point of emphasis here is verse 9 because it goes a little further than just anthropomorphic language.
Now the next concern is did Jesus ever claim to be God? And for this the scriptures I would provide are Matthew 26:64 Jesus directly quotes Daniel 7:13
John 10:34 Jesus claims to be the judge in Psalm 82 referencing verse 6
In John 10 versus Both 11 and 14 Jesus Yeshua says that he is the Good Shepherd and you can cross-reference this with the very first line of Psalm 23.
In Mark chapter 6 starting from verse 45 Jesus walks on the water this is something designated in the Old Testament for something only God (job 9:8) can do this separates Jesus from the other people who did miracles.
Where another claim would be is in the fact that Jesus forgives sins, off the top of my head is Mark chapter 2
now certainly there have always been Messianic claimants but none of them have ever claimed to forgive sins.

@gopapillon is what I wrote really that hard to understand?... did you read any of it? of course I'm arguing for Jesus divinity but I'm doing it from concerns that arise from a Jewish cultural perspective.. is there anything wrong with that? of course the Trinity is in Genesis 1 but people who know what to look for usually are more concerned with certain questions like contextualisation and consistency across the Testaments prophecy and the period in which the Bible is written... you're usually not going to convince anybody buy one or a couple verses. It's context you're looking for.

Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.

Now the question becomes why would Jesus so secretive why didn't he just come out and say that he was the Lord God of Israel?... well one scripture off the top of my head of that I would provide here that might be interesting is this Matthew 16:20 "then he commanded his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ"... my suggestion to you here, would be that the crucifixion how to take place at a certain place at a certain time and under a specific set of circumstances.

I so love your ministry in this video was fantastic, I am a gentle believer in Jesus Christ and a lover of the Jewish people… I went to Israel two years ago and God opened my eyes… My wife and I every week after church drive by our local Jewish congregation and pray for them we pray that the veil will be lifted that the Holy Spirit will draw their hearts… I have recently started to stop in when I see some of the people in the parking lot… And I just tell them this may seem strange to you…Just wanted to tell you I am a gentile I am a believer in Jesus Christ I believe in the Old Testament of the Bible I believe it is not just Jewish history but it is for telling the coming of the Messiah who has already come… I told him I know you probably don’t agree with me maybe you think I’m crazy but I pray for your peace and I pray for your salvation… So far I’ve talk to you about a half a dozen people in the congregation and they’re all thanking me… God is doing something!

..... there's certain conundrums and text critical issues when it comes to your faith with the bible... if you're claiming to be consistent?
So first, in Exodus 3 verses 2 through 6, my question would be, who's speaking to Moses in the burning Bush? hint: you might want to pay close attention to person and number.
Second if Hashem told Moses no man can see my face and Live Twice in Exodus 33, then explain to me, judges 6 verses 11-22..
... after that I would like you to compare Genesis 28 versus 10 to 18 with Genesis 31 versus 10 to 13... I'm sort of curious how you would get around these passages..
Because if you can't and that means there's a basis for the trinity in the Old Testament..

Thank you again, perfect timing for what the spirit within me has found hope, faith, in love within the last week. It is very important to me that Israel took such a stand to say Catholics were allowed in Israel and did not need to fear harm. I need help here in the States with what is running our country and has ruled with a tyrants saber in the Catholic church; the Pope recently said that LGBTQ will always be allowed in the Catholic church and I cut the last tie I had in my prayers for them that moment. I believe now it is up to those who have spent their days in the Torah and you to fight the battle because I am being discounted as trivial for using their words against them as they have used ours against us; they exploit Jesus rather than love his people. My viewpoint is the sticking point is the laurel on which the Catholic church rides is the Bible, always saying they will always fight for Israel while they trivialize the vine from which they worship. They are very similar, but to the discerning eye and ear are very different than the Rabbinic faith who has dissected the words and punctuation to a degree that they both have disfigured the entire purpose of the scripture for many. The rejection that Jewish believers suffer from family and society after accepting the life of Jeshua is the same as for new gentile (true] believers. My wife was rejected by her family and friends after her salvation when she truely began to apply Biblical precepts and principles into her life. It became especially severe after she determined to embrace Christ and, of necessity, to put those aside who would try to turn her from Him. A similar story for some of my children and me. Unfortunately, most so-called American Christians believe they can have it both ways - the world & Jesus.

@@moses2031 I won't argue the point with you brother. However, in these verses I proposed, the pronouns are He, Him, a man, etc. Remember, this is a prophetic book, and to me it is a direct prophecy of Christ and the parallels are hard to argue. But, we can agree to disagree and that's ok.

Jesus being born of Mary but not of Joseph is not a problem according to Jewish history because I believe during the reign of Queen Alexandra Jewish law made Heritage pass on, by matrilineal Bases.
A basis for the Trinity can be established in the Old Testament by passages like Amos 4:11Isaiah 48:16.. and Judges chapter 2:1 and Daniel 7:9-14
Support for the idea of God becoming man in Scripture are Deuteronomy 18 verses 15 to 18 Focus of the verse speaks of the coming Messiah coming from lineage of Israel like unto moses.
We also have Exodus chapter 23 verse 20 and 21 the context of which is speaking about the future Endeavor of going over Jordan then we come to Joshua chapter 5 verses 13 to 15 and the context of this passage is having just gone over the Jordan into Israel.
Another proof of this idea perhaps most glaringly Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 4-10... the first thing you want to pay attention to is titles in verse 4 and verse 9... Hashem and the word of the Lord these titles are used interchangeably there's some definite implication there but the point of emphasis here is verse 9 because it goes a little further than just anthropomorphic language.
Now the next concern is did Jesus ever claim to be God? And for this the scriptures I would provide are Matthew 26:64 Jesus directly quotes Daniel 7:13
John 10:34 Jesus claims to be the judge in Psalm 82 referencing verse 6
In John 10 versus Both 11 and 14 Jesus Yeshua says that he is the Good Shepherd and you can cross-reference this with the very first line of Psalm 23.
In Mark chapter 6 starting from verse 45 Jesus walks on the water this is something designated in the Old Testament for something only God (job 9:8) can do this separates Jesus from the other people who did miracles.
Where another claim would be is in the fact that Jesus forgives sins, off the top of my head is Mark chapter 2
now certainly there have always been Messianic claimants but none of them have ever claimed to forgive sins.

Hello jewish brothers, I, a gentile that believe in Yeshua and love Yisrael, once also thought that me and my family were alone. We were ostracized because we wanted to keep shabbat, keep kosher and the commandments, all of this without even understanding the jewish faith, but because of tradition passed down to us by our parents and local church. But now, because of this connected and internet world, we can rejoice to know that not only here in my country, Brasil, but all around the world and including Yisrael, there is people that believe the same as us. God has not cast off his people! Many churches in Brasil have been praying for peace in Yerushalaim and Yisrael for a long, long time! And I believe we are coming to an age were people are opening their eyes not for religion, but for our only and one God. Blessed be Yisrael and it's people, may the Holy Spirit reveal the truth! Please,One for Israel,whom I pray for, Prayer warrior fashion, as requested, am avid for with all the testimonies, and praise God ,Magnificatly for, since our family have Long Known and loved a Jewish friend/ family.
But of late and particularly this week,last week in April 2023,am very grieved and greatly disappointed ly disturb by the euphoric dances in the streets ' celebrating Israel ,the land,s establishment, not unfounded at all (one's wariness) for the same week still in the Lamb's Redeeming us Season, we have the Crucified Christ ie the Scourged and crowned with thorns Christ, smashed on the ground, we have Israelis boldly smirkingly, defended by soldiers strutting en masse through Mosques, while Muslims ( who may come to Christ) are praying in sincerity, we have rabbis,strutting pass nuns, humble Catholic sisters, and spitting on them.
WHAT IS THAT TO CELEBRATE ,euphorically and emotionally? Not alone we hear the founder of One for Israel ,running down the Catholic Church, and among other things ,talking about reaching and teaching other Israelis Jews ( and Arabs? ) quote ( without all that WHAT WE DONT UNDERSTAND/ COMPREHEND, LET ME TELL YOU Mary stuff) Insults, as on Calvary

Thank you, so inspiring. I am Australian and when in my 20's Iived and worked in Sydney in Jewish areas. I felt it as a great blessing and felt love. Now I live in Tasmania and do pray for Israel and One for Israel and other Messianic ministries. And also for our local synagogue and Jewish people as well as Australian Messianic ministries. Bless you. So grateful I felt a prompting to tune into One for Israel.

I've been called to jewish ministry since the mid 80's.
I read alot of comments on various YT videos and I get so frustrated with the comments from Christians to Jewish people ..or comments made about the Jews and or Judaism. Christians can make the most ignorant comments.
They seem to think making belligerent insulting comments is the way to represent Yeshua and open a dialogue.
Contending for the faith DOES NOT mean being so defensive you become offensive.
Peter cut off a mans ear. If Yeshua agreed with Peters' actions He would not have put the mans ear back on his head! SO DROP THE "SWORDS" people. This is not how we "provoke" anyone to jealousy. How could they ever hear the good news of Messiah if we've cut their ears off first?! Think about it.

The thing is Yeshua wouldn't approve of their callous insensibilities either.. no matter who they were addressing. That's not who He is..that's not how He instructed us to roll.
And the irony of it all is that behavior is also one of the sins He had to atone for.
