This reminds me of seeing my great-grandmother in a hospital bed. She was strong woman till the very end. I was six or seven when she died in the beginning of 2001. Her daughter, my grandma, died when I was six and my brother was 5 in 2000. My brother was either 5 or six when our great-grandma died in 2001. This was just months before 9/11 in 2001 happened. I remember seeing it on the news in 2001. Such a devastating year that year for me.

The difference with Carrie and many other “idol” contestants is that not only does Carrie have an amazing voice, she cares about people, she appreciates her fans truly, and she loves to sing more than she loves fame and fortune. Most of the other contestants were only looking for fame and fortune, and even with talent it shows and falls flat. Often they don’t want to hear correction nor do they want to put in the hard work. They want it all to come to them because they think they deserve it without the extra effort. Carrie put in a lot of hard work, she loves entertaining people, she does it to give people a piece of her heart, she has incredible talent because it comes from deep in her soul, from the love the Lord has given her that she wants to share with others. And she is grateful, grateful to God, grateful to American Idol for giving her a chance at fame, and grateful for the people she works with and the people in her audiences. It resonates with her fans and people love her back.

This reminds me of seeing my great-grandmother in a hospital bed. She was strong woman till the very end. I was six or seven when she died in the beginning of 2001. Her daughter, my grandma, died when I was six and my brother was 5 in 2000. My brother was either 5 or six when our great-grandma died in 2001. This was just months before 9/11 in 2001 happened. I remember seeing it on the news in 2001. Such a devastating year that year for me.

The difference with Carrie and many other “idol” contestants is that not only does Carrie have an amazing voice, she cares about people, she appreciates her fans truly, and she loves to sing more than she loves fame and fortune. Most of the other contestants were only looking for fame and fortune, and even with talent it shows and falls flat. Often they don’t want to hear correction nor do they want to put in the hard work. They want it all to come to them because they think they deserve it without the extra effort. Carrie put in a lot of hard work, she loves entertaining people, she does it to give people a piece of her heart, she has incredible talent because it comes from deep in her soul, from the love the Lord has given her that she wants to share with others. And she is grateful, grateful to God, grateful to American Idol for giving her a chance at fame, and grateful for the people she works with and the people in her audiences. It resonates with her fans and people love her back.
