If you could unravel the mystery of USB over midi and how I can get the 60 to access pre sets for gigs that would be great. I've searched hi and low and have found zero that actually works. I even called LIne 6 and they gave me conflicting answers.
Manual. It's in the short manual. DOenload it. The final 3 pages show all the midi assignments and functions. the 60 only has midi over USB, so get an adapter if you have that one. Otherwise a midi pedal will work. Program and go!
@@RobertHamm Come on man, of course I checked the manual. The USB/midi conversation that Line 6 told me to try didn't work. Sold it. Happier with my Boss Nextone. It does all the things I need it to do without any questions or confusion. The midi capability of the 60 was an afterthought to Line 6 so it was to me too. Never again.
I think when they started adding Master game controls on amplifiers. It's easy to get through this rock fizzy sound. The question is can it do anything else? And I've seen few demonstrations of that. But it's good to know that you treat this as some kind of joke.
I have one , you are extremely aware its a transistor amp It has no compression or tube simulation of any kind .I ended up having my blackstar I core 150 repaired although it's not as well made there is no comparison in sound that amp you do not feel like you're playing a transistor amp
I have the Catalyst 200, it is amazing amp, but I had no success on using the Power In featuring with my helix, the sound gets too dark and volume drops drastically. I ended up using the helix in front of the amp, using the clean channel as a base for my presets, this way sounded closer to my Studio Monitors tone I have. Also he mentioned to disable the AMP and CAB blocks when using it in the POWER IN, but you really need the AMP/PREAMP block as you are skipping the one from the Catalyst.
No you'd disable the amps if you connected it with 4 cable method and wanted the preamplifier the catalyst as part of the sound. If you jack straight into the effects loop return, switched to poweramp in, you would want to disable the cabinets in the helix. Either way you still should disable the helix cabs. The speakers in the catalyst are voiced.
I have the same problem with my Tonex One pedal. The best I've got it is by plugging into the Return input of the amp and have the switch on Fx loop. The sound is darker but if I rase the presence on the amp model in Tonex software it sound really good again. Or you could use an eq pedal to eq the sound back again.

Been eyeballing a Yamaha revstar for a minute, is it worth it? Seems kinda cool and decent quality.
