    11:48 this guy is speaking like god. As a HR what skill did he improve every year other than this attitude? Companies want different ideas to remove people, and people like him help them. Its also true that there are few employees who think they need salary with doing a job. But not all employees need to improve their year on year. Its a myth.

      He is just a loud mouth. HR is the place to hide when you have ZERO skill and this guy is talking about upgrading skill. Reason for layoff is hike in interest rate and pressure from Wall street hedge funds.

    Google and Microsoft didn't lay off based on what he is saying. They wanted to downsize so the chose teams that didn't generate revenue. There were IIT graduates who were highly technical got laid off. Its not employee fault

    There should be space and time to explore the new skill or upgrade skill related to present position. Frankly speaking companies are not loyal to employees. But they want employees to be loyal. No companies are exceptional to this

      Layoffs are happening to anticipation of loss due to recession. Tech companies misprojected the growth of IT during pandemic times and hiring frenzy all over the place only to realise life became normal post pandemic. So it's time to pluck all the unnecessary weeds in higher CTC and excessive hiring.

    Agree with most of his words , At the same time , Some points cannot be agreed, Like- He mentioned about SAP Consultants have no market , But actually SAP will have market forever ( Also, where he is mentioning s/4 hana differs from SAP but the fact is S/4 Hana and non sap to sap PI, SAP AI's are sap application products , where sap technical and functional consultants developed themselves, Since past decades they adopted themselves according to the recent trends eg.. from oracle & sybase to sap hana, s/4hana. etc.. - even recent cloud partners support the sap in aws & microsoft azure on sap workloads, many pubic, private top organizations till running in SAP Hana, etc.. - i.e every where still sap runs ) . He should analyse well before providing correct data's, not only about SAP, Also to other respective domain sections, Mainly in every year, every field these recessions/layoffs will happen, As he said if we keep improving , Always opening will be there for our upgraded skills, No need to worry on these . Other than this his overall speech is good awareness.

    Hire people for more salary or raise salary of existing employees competing with other companies were offering unimaginable salaries during covid. Now normalize the salary by firing people and hiring them at lesser salary.

    Average working time of MAANG companies for an employee is 1.1 year .. if he is not letting go .. people will go .. this is just show off to retain other people with low expense.

    Throwing employees at first instance is shame and lack of capabilities in management side rather than concentrating on other cost reducing factors. Without employees they can't even go this much and All over world of goverment should take necessary steps to stop this kind of activities from Private / public by simply saying upgrade yourself etc etc. You are not going to give salary who does not work and you no need to do but you have to give for what they work for by simply saying upgrade etc etc reason and all.
