Maybe you and I will save each other and the world.

6/9/24 - I heard someone say that the movie “The Matrix” is a documentary, not a sci fi movie. I watched the movie again to look for themes about us waking up from an illusory world to see if the movie correlates at all with what is happening in my life.
In an early conversation between Morpheus and Neo after the awakened ones have rescued Neo from The Matrix, Morpheus says: “You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. There’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad…The Matrix is everywhere, it’s all around us…It’s the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the Truth.”
Neo asks, “What is truth?”
Morpheus says, “That you are a slave. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage. You were born into a prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what The Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself.”
I have to say that’s what I felt when I first began to wake up. I felt like I had always known that something wasn’t right, but I had no idea what it was. I didn’t know then that I had been programmed but I could feel that I lacked freedom to think for myself. I felt like God began to bring me teachers who showed me that I had been sleepwalking all my life.
Those of us who are waking up find ourselves still living in The Matrix but we are learning what our purpose is here. We are here to shine light on the door to freedom. This is the door we walked through. We can show the door to our brothers and sisters but we can’t make anyone walk through it. I believe everyone will walk through at some point because it is God’s will for all of His children to be saved, but everyone has to decide when they will walk through it.
