My god. I wish I hadn't been such a depressed little wretch during my teens and 20's. Would've been a part of this. I flow now and love every second of it! But I've never done it with others. I always drive way out into the desert to be by myself. Gonna start trying it socially.
Wow, there's so many variations of flow I never knew about until I watched this video. I love the promotion for flow at festivals. It's always fun to compare poi and watch other people's style.
I saw tons of people spinning during deadmau5 at Bonnaroo 2015. A month or so later, I found this video and ordered a pair of Podpoi. Spinning is HIGHLY addictive in a good way! Also, it's a great family activity that doesn't involve cell phones or television. Learn it, share it and enjoy it :)
they are flow-wands - they are super fun and pretty easy to learn (short and gentle learning curve compared to most other props). You can get them on our website under levitation wands :)
Amazing Video! I got my first flowtoy little less than a year ago and i still love it! I don't suppose you ever make your way to Europe, right? If so, I'm buying a ticket to whatever festival you're at! And I've seen the question a couple times below, but what's the prop at 2:05 ? It looks really interesting! Anyways. Keep up the good work and spreading the flow throughout the world. You make it a brighter and shinier place!
We went to Europe in the early days of flowtoys, but keep a lot closer to home these days. We have a kid, a warehouse space to build out and more things that keep us anchored to home, though we hope to be able to venture out again sometime. I can't remember the name of that prop off the top of my head, but it's from India :)
the clips were from various festivals we went to this past summer - you can check out the credits at the end for the festivals that were featured in this video, or go to our website's footer, click on find us and you'll see a full list of events that we're at - see you out there :)
Awesome video! What is that toy at 2:06 (the big net Hoop looking toy) I saw that in a very strange Indian video a while back and have been trying to find one since. Thank you so much!
Found it Gatka Chakkar or Chakar! There is even a Fire Chakar, look for the video by "Freaks on Fire" "The Mighty Chakar". They look easy enough to make. But I also did find both for sale online.
Are you referring to the girls spinning poi or the wings? Girl spinning poi - rust colored hoodie dress is from inkspoon. The wings are from dancingwings (dot) com - many of our friends make awesome clothing and gear. Feel free to email us and tell us what you are interested in and we can point you in the right direction.
In a smaller capacity yes :) We haven't driven our awesome flowcart out that far, but we're going to be at the Austin Juggling Festival next week with lots of new toys :)
That's Chris Kelly :) He is organizing a retreat in Oregon soon - you can check him out on Facebook or email us and we can send you details if you are interested in his event.
I am a truck driver(so I am everywhere, at anytime), but I am slowly becoming interested in these things, how would I go about getting something small to start out with?
+Nikkiye Dettle - Hi Nikkiye - Most people start with "poi" or "staff". We have a brief guide here explaining the various props: www.flowtoys.com/chooseyourflowtoys/ and lots of inspirational videos on our UA-cam channel. I would recommend starting out with poi - our most popular poi are the podpoi. They are also work great as mood lights. Feel free to email us at info@flowtoys.com if you need more guidance.
Hi Brooke, There are a couple of shots of gents with double staffs. We have a variety of staff options that can be used as doubles. You can find them here: flowtoys.com/props/staffs/jugglingstaffs + flowtoys.com/props/staffs/collapsible + flowtoys.com/props/staffs/1-piece-flowstaffs ... feel free to tell us which time in the video you're looking at, and we can tell you which specific staff. Or feel free to email us at support@flowtoys.com and we can help you find the right staff for your needs. Hope this helps!
