Nights is a GREAT example of how to make a morally ambiguous character. At their core Nights is self-centered and egotistical like all Nightmarans, but since Nights detest Wizeman for trying to control them that is why Nights fights them. Nights is a very deep and complex character and I wish we had more characters like that.
then there's a hint of heroism and bravery too what a character.
I also like Reala from both games. Like how when he says benichnoa nights/ come on Nights. Like there is ambiguousness with him as well in jod like he wants Nights to come back like he also plays with Nights in certain ways but also threads the line of Ugh why you strong I gotta kill you for resisting the order now. but at the same time instead of Nights returning the same feeling they get concerned about reala. Like there is history we know we can't see. It feels like Reala got vibes that are all over the place but. still great rivalry. it's not friendship nor enemy territory it's like. I reluctantly dislike that you're on the other side now.
This is one of THE best games I have ever played. I'm likely alone in that opinion, since I picked it up at a game stop for 2 bucks, no joke.
I also found this game at a GameStop for $2, and I'm so glad I picked it up. I agree completely: this is one of the best games I've ever played, too. I've only seen it twice: the first time I was told not to get it, since it was so cheap my grandma figured it must not be that good. The second time I saw it, years later, I bought it and learned why it has such a low price tag: the NiGHTS games are a sort of cult classic. They don't have the biggest following, but the fans are dedicated and love the series. I hope that Sega makes another NiGHTS game, and that it is just as good- if not better- than Journey of Dreams.

does anyone else hear a sort of ticking clock when listening to this song? I do. It's almost like time ticking down until the night is over, and Will and Helen have to wake up. Maybe it's just me, but I love little details like that.

Love how at 0:52 and 1:22 you can hear the noises you hear at the beginning of Wizeman's NiD boss theme. It is such a nice touch.

I feel like NiD's Wizeman theme is more dreamlike but scary surreal where JOD theme is more Nightmarish scary.

They really need to make a third nights game! I loved every hour I spent with this game and exploring the dream worlds to find every dream drop was one thing I loved doing.
wiseman's theme is quite spooky it fits since he is kinda the "lord of nightmares" in the nights universe and nights's "father"
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was reminded of Mephiles' theme.
Is it just me, or do I get vibes from the fight against Solaris from "Sonic the hedgehog 2006", when I hear this theme?

Surprisingly enough none of the composers from 06 or Colors worked on Journey of Dreams.

@Rasmus Johansson okay looking deeper into it Tomoya Ohtani and a few others from 06 did do a song or two for Journey of Dreams but from what I can tell Tomoko Sasaki (the person who composed Wizemans theme) did not work on 06. Further more the wiki says they were using industry standard musical software, like protools and digital performer. I guess thats what they also used for 06

I LOVE this game. I was OBSESSED as a child. Gosh someone needs to put these up on SoundCloud soon or I'm going to die I STILL remember this theme for like 10 years. Wow this game brings back so many memories..

Even cooler would be if wizeman's name showed up under him when he finished saying that like in sonic generations.

I was thinking a better boss fight could be that each one of wizemans hands is like a life. You could even tie it in with sin and evil.
For example each of his hands represents one of the seven deadly sins. Lust avarice sloth etc. It could each be something tricky that nights has to do. Also we could improve on the two nights things by making it so you can switch nights. So having basically like 3 hands for one nights to deal with then the other 3 to the other nights. Then the last hand to both and then finally some reala thing using the 3 transformations. I think adding more lives to him and making use of the duality of nights makes for a more impactful battle, if not harder.
I'm wondering if that was the last ever battle with Wizeman.
Because, when you think about it, both he and NiGHTS are immortal and can't die that easily.
There must be another NiGHTS game in the works, because they both appeared in the Sonic Lost World DLC.

There probably is I know it's 3 years old and hopefully you can reach me out he also appeared in the Sonic Riders installment of the games as a hidden unlockable character. I wouldn't mind another Sonic Riders game with VR support so we can simulate riding on hover boards in a Sonic game. Nights has appeared in many of the Sonic games in hidden easter eggs or messages from Nightopia. Let's just wait and see if Nights appears in a Sonic cross over Sega is stupid if they don't do this.
Dark Champion Zavok Wizeman actually says that as long as there is darkness in the hearts of humans he and the nightmares will never be destroyed.
IMO it should get a crossover with kirby. both games take place in dreams after all.

Hell I'd even play Sonic Boom for that matter. But all I'm saying is that I want someone, anyone in his series. Sooo....

this was a masterpiece. though, i cant help but feel it could have been so much better. im not sure y. perhaps it couldve been longer with more battles?

Really, this boss was so...anticlimactic. It was a little bit of a letdown, but I'm not upset. It was a fun and easy end to a wonderful game.
If only there's Nights 3 on Nintendo Switch......... 💔

How Beat him: Wizeman send Into three stages: stage one she use water tornado atacks use the form of dolphin to make a drill dash to avoid the tornado atacks and with the other NIGHTS destroy his barrier force field. stage two: she uses fire balls, use the form of Dragon to avoid
Last stage: she duplicate himself , use the form of Rocket to break His copycats, if you defeat him, you can absorb the wellow ideya of hope.

He's probably based on Nightmare from Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland.

and then it would blow up lest wizeman (who would definitely go through the portal to conquer equestria) was defeated. but nights wouldn't die. the magic aura would keep him/her/it alive.

well, seeing as twilight is a magical being, i'd suppose he/she/it wouldn't change. but however, the presence of dreams in a reality would cause the foundations of equestria's time-space continuum to crack and shatter. it'd look like bellbridge.
I think you actually get the yellow ideya of hope if you get As in all the areas with helen/will, but yes, after you fight him once.
bjut they should make a game where wizeman comes back and creates dark ideya that are like reverse ideya and all the bosses team up to fight.

Why won't Sega just make another NiGHTS game already? Their Sonic games are failing, they might as well try something different for once.
I believe sega is owned by Nintendo now so I can't see that happening, nothing against Nintendo but they don't really come up with ideas that the community wants.
Nintendo doesn't own Sega. It's just a third party company.
Sega's PROBABLY saving the best for last Nights has recently appeared in Sonic games so there's a high possible chance Nights could have a cross over with the Sonic games. He's a hidden playable character in the Sonic Riders franchises for the regular Riders, ungravity, and I believe free riders. Just look up Sonic Riders Nights Gameplay on youtube and you'll figure it out. There's a specific way to unlock him but they nerfed his flying because he'd be too over powered.

I would like to point out that Sonic is just the flagship character for SEGA but SEGA as a whole dosen't make Sonic just Sonic Team, sort of like the same why how Kirby is a Nintendo character but HAL Laboratory is always making the Kirby games and not Nintendo as a whole. I just wanted to get that out there that there is a difference between SEGA in it's entirety and Sonic Team. Because SEGA is still making other games. But you are right because Sonic Team did make NiGHTS as well and are just too focused on Sonic.
