I do not own a Mac, but in the Excel Windows environment there is a much simpler way (might also work on Macs). To atract data from another cell/sheet, type the = symbol in the cell in which you would insert that data, then open the sheet from which you want to copy the data, select this cell and press ENTER. Done!
