In Bowser’s fury credits, it’s actually explained that While Bowser was sleeping, Bowser Jr wanted to prank him by painting with black paint on him, but the black paint possessed him ! So this is actually Jr’s fault

@@crispypig2483 Kinda.... In colour splash, bowser wanted a rainbow shell, but turned the Colour star's paint into black possessing him, In Bowser's fury, Bowser Junior painted him to prank him and got him possessed....... Oh God it is the same.
I figured it out before it was even released LOL (I just thought that the black paint on juniors paint brush looked like the fury goop and realized it was the same thing)

If the pictures on the credits meant anything, I interpreted the reason of Bowser turning corrupted as as Bowser Jr. pulling the classic "doodle on someone who's sleeping" prank on his dad, but he accidentally corrupted him with his ink.

That;s basically it, cuz Jr. still has the "magic" brush from his debut in Mario Sunshine, and that thing was made by E.Gadd...y'know, the guy who invented a machine that can turn ghosts into paintings?? Do the math...
I also like to think a part of it is not just his anger from the prank affecting the magic ink on him changing him, but maybe he was having a nightmare or something of losing to Mario when he woke up or still harbored some anger from his last failure and that culminated in the magic ink transforming him.

Here is a summarized version of the lore (based on the end credits): Bowser jr finds a new paintbrush and starts painting over a bunch of things. He walks to his dad and gets a bit of the paint on him as a prank while he's sleeping. The paint starts spreading all over Bowser's arm and torso and he becomes furious with his son. Eventually, he becomes a giant version of himself, but covered in fury ink, and runs away to an area where he could be alone. Bowser jr goes to Peach's castle and makes a portal to the area where Bowser is, Mario falls through said portal, Mario and Bowser jr, together beat all the fury ink out of Bowser. After that, Bowser and his son go home, thankful to Mario for what he's done, while still swearing to beat him one day. The end.

It's plenty easy if you've played a ton of mario games in the past, especially with how you can stock up on 35 power ups (i guess 36 if you count the one on mario) with all but the mushroom giving you 2 extra HP. With lava portions, they even provide a handy tanuki leaf.

Madz, the story is told at the end credits through bowser jr's paintings. Bowser jr got angry and painted bowser a little, but it went too far and bowser was overtaken by it. All the goop is bowser jr paint. Just thought you should know, still a great video!

I LOVED playing bowsers fury. I especially loved riding plessie around, with how she controls, and the music making it much more fun. I like going onto the islands on her and just decimating the landscape. I also really liked the power ups mechanic, that was really nice to have, cause I don’t like jumping on enemies heads, I always miss! But swiping at them with kitty claws or fireballing them is something I can manage

I really like how you kept the continuity in-between the foreground and back round, like how when the lighthouse lights up in the footage, it does in the background as well.
I like how when the animation transitions to the thunderstorm when they were talking about this game being calm, and suddenly bowser popped out happened, the giga bell in the background started ringing and no longer had the goop on it, like in the game. And then it turned back.

Dude, in the credits we see the plot explained. And bowser junior wanted to play a prank to bowser because he didn't want to play with him, but his paintbrush covered all his body with black goop and he became FURIOS. So it's not only "bowser's angry"
I actually just finished stardust crusaders so I died laughing when you brought it up. Definitely my fav jojo part right now
If the mere inclusion of Jr's paintbrush and all the extra water physics aren't a glimmer of hope for sunshine 2 then nothing is.
The whole theme of the mode and it's trailer is that there's chaotic moments and lighthearted ones. The Bowser's Fury part is dark and chaotic, while everything is calm and peaceful when he's not active. I don't really get what you mean by "misleading." The story is existent and more than just "Bowser got angry." During the credits, there are pictures drawn by Bowser Jr. that depict how Bowser got like that. Bowser Jr. wanted to take over the island with a new black goop that he made, but all Bowser wanted to do was relax and sleep on the island. Being bored, Jr. painted on Bowser's face with the goop as a prank. It backfired and corrupted Bowser, turning him into Fury Bowser. And are we really still complaining about plots in Mario games? Mario games have never had or need in depth plots, so I don't know why you ever thought this mode would.

I thought that the reason in the credits was that jr. covered bowser with paint which pissed him off and that made him fury bowser (which is why he has the same black paint like goop)

in the credits of bowsers fury you can see what happened, bowser and bowser jr. were flying in their airships but bowser was sleeping and bowser jr. was trying to get his attention or something so he hit bowser in the face with his brush which had some weird black goo on it and you probably know what happened next

Actually we get some story, in the credits the paintings show that the entire koopa army went for a vacation in Lake Lap-cat, Bowser was taking a nap and Bowser Jr., being the prankster he is covers Bowser's face in the icky paint like goop and it took control of Bowser thus letting out *ALL OF HIS RAGE*

I remember when I first played bowser’s fury, i didn’t know that bowser would show up randomly, so when he showed up when I was trying to get up that switch gate thing in the first part, I turned off my switch and ran out of the room.
And even now, whenever it starts raining, I have a panic attack and rush to find a cat shine

I think I had a similar situation with majoras mask, i was told it was very dark, but its dark moments didn’t happen as often as I thought.

I'm pretty sure that in the credits jr shows that they were basically just on vacations having fun and relaxing and jr pulls out the brush and starts messing with it and splashes black paint on his dad causing the darkness of this magical/science black paint to take over much like with paper bowser in color splash, which shows how little bowser jr knows about how much power he truly holds with his brush obviously learning about it little by little throughout his adventure with you. that was kind of my take based on my playthrough of the bowser's fury portion especially with the battle where he ends up spitting out all that said goop/paint, which was noted to appear at the beginning as well. It's a really nice way to bring back the brush into the Mario story.

The story’s actually slightly more of a story; Bowser and his troops (including bowser jr) took all of their airships to lake lapcat and took control/conquered/settled there, and then while bowser was sleeping, bowser jr pulled a prank on bowser by drawing on him with his paintbrush with some goop or something (that we don’t know where it came from) (also a nice reference to jigglypuff in the Pokémon anime). But the goop took control of him and make him giant and...black...and even more evil.

I really hate how they took the easy way out of the story and just made it Bowser Junior’s paint instead of creating a new villain possessing Bowser and having cut scenes expanding on Mario and juniors relationship and The Final cut scene is very anti-climactic because I thought it was going to be very emotional with Junior having his dad back but no we can’t have story in the main line Mario game
@@theearthkingdom7537 If that's what you're looking for, then well... nintendo doesn't usually do that with Mario. The Mario & Luigi series did that kind of thing, but alpha dream made the plot for those, and they went bankrupt, so if another one of THOSE gets made, nintendo is going to do the plot. I DO wish that nintendo would do more with what they give themselves, but knowing them, they aren't changing their methods any time soon, and we're lacking in good chances right now, so we can just hope for nintendo to do similar things with Mario that have done with a few other series some day.

In the end credits, there’s a series of paintings made by Bowser Jr, and if you pay attention, they seem to depict BJ finding some of the black goop and then painting it on his dad, which leads to Bowser getting out of control. Not extremely interesting, but maybe it’s some of the lore you were looking for
fun fact: the story is that bowser Jr tried painting his dad while he slept (like a kid drawing on theyre dad's face with a marker while they sleep) but used black paint, which we know from color splash can posses people and make them evil and more powererful
