I can listen to this song more than ten times in a row without getting bored! He said "I think you're projecting the way that you're feeling I'm not suicidal, just idling insignificantly I come up here for perception and clarity I like to imagine I'm playing SimCity
I haven't been this excited about music since Eddie Vedder and pearl jam. Courtney is something special, she is much more than a musician. Listen up childerns, this is what your parents call music. Consider yourself blessed to witness this incredible talent. Much success to you Courtney!
My favorite thing about this song (and there are *a lot* of things I like about this song) is the fact that the chorus is sung from the perspective of the “Botox frown” lady. That is so freaking brilliant as a songwriting device. She painstakingly describes this middle aged lady waiting beside our protagonist Oliver, the elevator arrives and when she sees where this young kid is going, she (the lady, not the “narrator”) immediately launches into the chorus, One of the best written songs I’ve ever heard. And so damn catchy. Plus the video… Ok, sorry. I’m done.
In case anyone was wondering about the guitar pedals that she is using, I have it one good authority the her Pedal chain goes as follows, 1. Distortion 2. Reverb 3.having fun while you are playing 4.cuteness 5.great progression choice 5.love for Rock n Rool 6.great lyrics 7.simplicity 8.no mistakes 9.no auto-tune 10.authenticity 11.joy 12.beautiful spirit 13.awsome rhythm change 14.reference to vegemite sandwich 15.humor 16.compression 17.noise filter 18.chromatic tuner
ne er mind the great song, she's just so cute. like the reverb too. no....actually its the combination of everything that makes it work for me. its just a cool moment
Listened to this song almost all the way to Tokyo its on Buisness class audio Jetstar fantastic 10 hours only one song for me wants me to get a band going again.
With songs like this, they can be performed solo, like depreston and dead fox but imagine Pedestrian at Best without the band, I don't think it'd be half as good
I really believe shes one of if not the best songwriter these days.

fucking refreshing - love all her music
So great, so fantastic, gets better every time I listen to it.
It's a hell of a lot of fun to play the bass, keys and drum parts along to this recording and it feels like your jamming with Courtney. Try it!
Long shot but would you happen to have the bass tabs for this?
@@oreoorange8451 sorry mate. It was very much just made up on the spot and I never played it again.
loving this song so much cant stop playing it over and over again she is number 1 for me
It's amazing how many performances and interviews she's done in just a few months. When you think you must have seen them all, up pops another one.

Just found this. WOW! My total favorite guitar tune.
This raw version is better than the studio version.
Excellent song writer performing a version of her song that rivals the recorded one.
" I'm not suicidal, just idling insignificantly."
Just found her/her song. ........bloody hell that’s brilliant

Genia!
Early 1980's punk rock! ...I was there ...so was she

Loooove her! If Paul MaCartney had a little sister she would look and sound just like her.
I love her.
obsessed
digging her guitar chops
I like this Girl Rock on CB We Love You.
Sofa king cool. Love this song. The sim city ref is nerdy but pierced me for sure. Love that CB is also a gamer!

Her voice is wonderful.Stevie Nicks-recovered.

@@tkesselrn Poor little snowflake.

sehr schön sehr fein sehr gut
I want to marry this song.
Rockin out like Lou Reed.
this is weird' but can't stop listening!
I wish I could find more versions like this, just her and guitar, no percussion. I much prefer this version.
Does anyone know if shes just playing this just clean? Or is there any distortion I'm not picking up on?
Weird to see her using a pick.
Yeah, a real live plectrum in her hand!
definitely! i wonder what happened. in the video for this song, she plays it wearing a glove... but still no pick.
she's not using a pick she's just holding her finger and thumb together
You are so lovely!
the best one since Maria McKee
Wow
This Chick Rocks. Xo CB.
Rockstar
Watching it loads of times to try and get the chords
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!! I D K WHY I D CARE I D KNO I LUUUUUVBVBVBVVB
fair evades? Or ferrivates (v. new word meaning to traverse as if one is a ferry)? Is fair evades an Aussie thing? Just curious
'Fare evades', it's a term for when you jump on a tram, bus or train and avoid paying the fare. Very common in Melbourne.
in NYC it's 'turnstile jumper', yeah!
I actually prefer this version to the one with percussion...like by a lot.
DON'T JUMP LITTLE BOY!
Is it only me, but I think she sounds far better without her band.
With songs like this, they can be performed solo, like depreston and dead fox but imagine Pedestrian at Best without the band, I don't think it'd be half as good
She's still awesome on her own though
I agree! Just saw her live a couple of days ago and most of the melody was drowned out the in fuzz-noise. Still awesome though.
She has such a unique voice. The studio album version is a good compromise though. Some of the live shows I've seen on YT had that drowning out issue.
That's why i was so excited when she said in an interview, the next album might just be her alone onthe piano
Sheryl Crow in Strine!
Anyone know the chords to this version?
Anyone knows what mic is that? (for vocals I mean..)
+GlennMosby It's looks similar to Oktava mk-219, but i'm not sure.
i just think she's the bees knees.......xoxo
she reminds me of a female stephen malkmus which is one hell of a compliment coming from me
I got a std test after this coz I found warts up my ass, and I tested positive for every std on planet Mars
