- You can purchase the ZHP knob on many websites, as of August 2021 it was the cheapest on ECS Tuning. Part# 25 11 7 896 886
The OEM non-ZHP knob can also be purchased there. If your knob is as worn as mine, this is a very worthy upgrade for under $100 and is easy to do, requiring no tools but just some strength :)
I'm very satisfied with it! Thanks for watching! - Авто та транспорт
Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching it 🙌
An honest review thank you
Thanks man
Very nice!
Nice video
I accidentally pulled mine off jamming in third on my Z4
One Z4 2004 3.0 convertible I test drove, had an illuminated M style shift knob, but the car was definitely not an M. It was pretty ragged but I thought the illuminated knob was pretty cool. I ended up with a much better car lol price in better condition with half the miles. But I still want an illuminated shift knob.
Mine was extremely hard to get off, but being original I guess that’s 20 years of settling itself in. Maybe yours had recently been removed a few years back. Me too, I wish I had spent the money and got the illuminated one. Lesson learned!
Does the new one lightup like the oem M3 ones though?
That's a game changer for me
No man I wish :(
I wanted the illuminated one but didn’t think it was worth paying an extra $100+ for it.

So you can get the short shifter with illumination for a little extra though?
I might do that once mine wears out*
And by changing gears is it not shorter way ??
Certainly feels better and a little shorter, just not the biggest difference.
so how does it look after 1 year?? update
Still looks nearly brand new, but very slight wrinkling (almost microscopic) at the top of the knob facing the radio. I do wipe it down every few weeks and keep it clean. But I don’t drive with driving gloves.
The ZCP knob does not light up at night either.
Yeah I was bummed out about that, but just couldn’t spend the $230 on the F10 illuminated knob
Did you just cut the factory gear knob from the gaiter and fold the rough edge in?
They are not connected. You can just pull the gear knob off alone
Stock knobs are connected (one piece). You’ll have to cut the leather off. Yours was altered in the past it looks like.
@@mperformance3502 I was not aware of that, thank you for the clarification.
@@mperformance3502 That is false information. Not a single OE shift knob nor shift boot is one piece.
