Thanks for the info mate! This really helped me as I did buy the eBay one but I have now got that refunded and have purchased a genuine ZHP knob on Amazon!
This boot was already on the car when I purchased. Im the second owner and the car was bone stock when I got it. Im guessing it was either a factory option when the guy ordered the car or he had this replaced after the fact.
A C i feel like it could over time because it’s literally just plastic that holds it snug. I’d like to think of it as a plastic retainer clip that you find on bumpers and other parts. It’s only but so many times you can remove them before they turn to junk.
@@JoshuaMaclin yeah seems like that clip could go pretty easily. i want to experiment with some different knobs but im worried ill degrade the fitment of my current zhp if i take it off.

Thank you Bro! - I am on the market for an M Sport knob and it is so difficult to tell what is good and what isn't. Thank you!
Glad it could help!
Thanks for this video. Almost bought a fake one.
Thanks, very useful

Thanks for the info!
tbh prefer the ebay one
WHere did you get the leather cover
Where did you get the boot? I am replacing the stock E90 M3 knob with this ZHP but the M3 shift knob doesn't have a boot retainer!

Shit I just bought one off eBay for $60 thinking it was OEM but it’s a knockoff, honestly it don’t look too bad though
As long as it works for you, let er eat!
Metaly? Lol. Metallic.
Ryan Mullen Ha! I’ve always been the best with words 🤓😉
Do know if the M sport square perforated one is similar already?
I've never felt that one before so I cant't say.
does it ruin the knobs if you take them off and on?
