Hello! This is Titan, a 5-year-old Shih Tzu who arrived here at Tosa Bebe Pet with matted fur 😬 The solution??? Total clipping with very low blade! We used a #10 blade and even then we had some difficulties, as the blade "locked" in some parts. After being trimmed and relieved, you can see that his skin was very sensitive, this is because the excess of matted fur makes the skin not breathe enough, which ends up compromising the pet's health. Want a loose, clean coat and healthy skin??? Brushing!!!!! Daily or even weekly, it will always help your pet. Get him used to this care since he was a puppy, and everything will be easier!!! It's another gesture of love!!!! ❤️🐶

Wonderful job! It upsets me that owners neglect their dogs like this. If you can't afford to groom, just use the scissors to give a cut. It may not look professional, but it certainly alleviates the severe matting which causes serious skin irritation. Btw, the dog looks like he has glaucoma in his eye; circular cloudy spot

Hi! Dog groomer here. I high advise against cutting your own dogs hair, it can be extremely dangerous, especially if they have matting. Since the hair is so close to the skin, you can easily cut them open. Many groomers, like myself- will openly take your dog in without expecting pay or will give a major discount, or allow a payment plan. We are here not to just make your dogs pretty, but to also allow them to live a comfortable and healthy life 💕

I am sure, she meant to do it on a continuous basis. People don't need to go to groomers, they can groom themselves.
I have tried to get my 5 month puppy groomed but she wouldn't let them near her and her hair is very long and a mess i have not neglected her i comb her daily but its a struggle she doesn't even like us doing it and as soon as we have she rolls around messes it upagai

@@tosabebepet I was watching this one American grooming channel and could not believe how aggressive they were. The clients trembled, whimpered and barked...you could see the fear in their eyes. Then I started watching an Asian groomer and her clients would fall asleep under her care. Now I can add you to my list of preferred groomers💞

I had my previous dog for 18 years and when Mitch died my whole family grieved. We were devasted. I cried on and off for over a year. It can still make me tear up now and he passed away over 10 years ago.
I have two Shih Tzu's now and they are my world. They are 8 and 9 years old so still have several more years in them both🤞. I wish you all the best. X
i feel sorry for your lost. My shih tzu , she was 17years old, passed away over 4 years ago. . Her eyes, nose, the smells,,, i remember her everything!!

Für den Hund ist das eine Quälerei wenn man das Fell weg macht. Können dich ja auch Mal komplett nackt rausstellen bei Minustemperaturen. Das knurren hier und da zeigt es ja schon das ihm das gar nicht gefällt. Hier und da kürzen ja, das er wieder was sieht aber das ist übertrieben. Das sollte verboten werden!

Há donos que não conseguem escovar o seu gato. Quando Fred me procurou pela primeira vez, foi há 10 anos. Extremamente emaranhado, não deixava a dona escovar ele, pois mordia e arranhava. Eu e a dona sabemos que ele fica muito estressado para tosar. Mas, infelizmente, tosar é a melhor opção para ele. Tentamos fazê-lo o mais rápido possível. São 10 minutos na parte do corpo. Ele ainda sempre me deixa tosar o seu rosto com a tesoura. A dona do Fred é muito cuidadosa, ela tem outros dois ou três gatos que deixam ela escovar os seus pelos, então por isto ela nunca os trouxe para tosar. Ela sempre traz apenas o Fred, que tem este comportamento diferente. Ela conversa e dá muito carinho para o Fred e é gentil com ele durante todo a tosa. Ela ama muito seu gato, um dos maiores amores entre donos e gatos que conheço. Infelizmente o Fred não é muito comportado, ele não deixa ela colocar a focinheira, ele morde a dona. Tentamos usar também outra focinheira, a mais aberta, mas Fred morde todo mundo e muitas vezes fica tentando tirar a focinheira com golpes das patas e acaba se machucando. Nestes casos, quando o gato se comporta assim, ter esta proteção mais fechada ajuda a tosa a ficar mais segura, pois nem o tosador, nem o gato se machucam e a tosa bebe consegue ser feita em bem menos tempo.

Meus Deus, é insuportável como que a natureza permite crescer pelo em excesso no rosto desse cachorro onde está localizado os olhos, para atrapalhar a visão dessa raça de cachorro.
O cachorro nem consegue vizualizar direito seu ambiente, com o pelo incomodando seus olhos!
Mas graças ao ser humano, o excesso de pelo é cortado!
My auntie had a shihtzu that looked like this but worse. He even had fishing line in his hair. He was such an angry little dog. I got him to warm up to me and I was able to cut his hair with a trimmer. He ended up being so happy and completely changed attitude. They took him back and were happy but didn't take long for him to get all matted and dirty again 😫 I tried to clean him whenever I got the chance

Comprei uma máquina de corte de cabelo humano, quando dá um mozinho já corto,não deicho embolsar e corto sempre o bigode e a franja,capricho nas minhas 2 hlasa apso, capricho com o doguinho é fundamental ,senão eles sofrem.

Please, pet owner. Shih tzu’s need to be brushed daily. It doesn’t take no more than 5 minutes to avoid this painful situation. If you don’t have time, don’t get a fur baby. They have feelings too.

Por esse motivo dos pelos embolarem facil e crescerem rapido que é necessario escovar pelo menos umas 3 vezes na semana o pelo,nao so pra evitar embolar,mas pra ajudar a tirar o "pelo morto" que cai. Fora a tosa de mes em mes,por conta que é perigoso os pelos em excesso nas orelhas e nos olhos,podendo causar problemas de ouvido e de vista.
É um tipo de cachorro que tem que ter esses cuidados pra prezar a boa saude dele
