I just wanna send so much love and appreciation to you. For some reason, this video has been extremely therapeutical for me in my CPTSD-recovery, when I felt too scared to see a "real" therapist. They say that trust is the most important aspect of healing, and it is just something about how you speak, your tone of voice and choice of words that don't feel intimidating to me when everything else does. I know you are not a licensed therapist and this is youtube... But I think this video has saved my life. Honestly. I come back to it time and again. Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, it honestly means the world to me to know I'm actually helping people. I'm so glad you feel trust in my videos, and I hope you can bring that trust into the world around you eventually. Also you'll be happy to know I actually have another EMDR video scheduled for next Sunday! Sending you lots of love and positive thoughts!
I feel like a nice school teacher helps me overcome a panic attack 🥰 Thank you for this roleplay. I hope you will make more emdr videos, it really helps!
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not a licensed therapist or anything, but I do think that this kind of therapy can be helpful in certain situations, so I only hope that people can find some peace from this 😊
Thank you. I’m just learning and doing this emdr alone while I wait for a therapist available in my area that does emdr. So I appreciate your videos. I’ve just done this one so far but I plan to watch all of your videos.
Quite relaxing. I could see my positive anchor change from power to others to rescue me to being the positive anchor myself. I felt invincible and ready for even worse events.
Thank you, I enjoyed this. You have a very comforting voice. I was diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago and had a few EMDR sessions as a way of processing through it. I don't know if you can ever fully get over PTSD, but EMDR did help
I'm so glad you enjoyed this, and thank you for sharing that. I did have a bit of apprehension doing this video, as I'm obviously not a licensed therapist, but I do know from experience that EMDR can be an amazing tool to deal with our emotions in relation to our past. I wish you the best of luck with your future!
thank you so much , i just realize being bullied as a child has nothing to do with my looks , or that i was different . they bullied me because i didn't stop them the first time and i wasn't safe at home so i couldn't do nothing but stay silent as i know no one there for me . but now I'm safe and i love myself and i deserve to have friends who love me and care for me . thank you again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but I'm happy that it sounds like you have kind and loving people around you now! Hope you have a safe and happy future ahead of you!
Interesting, although paradoxically, this helped relax my already overloaded brains instead (wrote documentation today). It must be your calm, gentle delivery! And the comforting feeling created by the return of the floormat!
That's what I thought the first time I saw an EMDR therapy video... it's very unexpectedly relaxing... I guess similar to things like a dentist roleplay. Dentists aren't traditionally seen as relaxing haha.
Just like I mentioned in the description and at the end of the video, I did do lots of research for this video since it's a serious topic, but I'm not formally trained. So this is not a replacement for therapy. :)
I don't know if this is rude or not but like how do you say "follow" so many times with a straight face?? This comment isn't an insult! I would be laughing so hard if I had to make a vid like this....kudos
I had actually watched a few videos for research of actual therapists doing this in real life... Since it is a real therapy I wanted to try to emulate it as much as possible (even though obviously I'm not a real therapist with real training), so this is pretty similar to what you would get at a real session :)
Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I wouldn't ever want you to move on from that memory either! This therapy is more so for memories that still negatively effect your present. I hope you are doing well Peter 💛

Thanks for introducing me to EMDR, never heard of it before. Fantastically done as always ^^
Glad you liked it! I first saw it maybe 2 years ago, and I'm surprized it hasn't become a bigger thing!

Thank you for your help! I’m going to give it a try to help with my symptoms!

Glad it could help you! Really powerful that you're your own positive anchor 😊
Awesome video, Maple! After watching this I went to Wikipedia to learn more about it haha. Can't wait to see you hit 1k!
I love when ASMR can be both informative and also relaxing!! Glad you enjoyed :)

You are just amazing and relaxing 🖤🥰🖤
Aww thanks, glad you think so! 😊
Lovely as usual
Hey 😊 you are amazing 😍 I'm new subscriber here ❤
Aww cheers, thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed :)
EMDR worked so well for me, but my insurance says I can only have one therapist. Mine is actually doing her training now, so it's in the cards 😊
Oh that's so good to hear! It can be so helpful :) wishing you good healing for your mental health 😌
Thank you. I’m getting there-slow and steady wins the race, as they say 🙂
It’s so fast I honestly can’t follow it. What am I doing wrong lol
haha, it's supposed to be a bit fast, because the point is that you have to focus on it to follow!
I couldn’t keep up either, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one 😂

Is it normal that i cry while i m doing what you ask?
Whetever emotion you feel is what you feel, so that's completely normal. I hope you're well, and I hope you can find some peace!
