I feel that the saddest part about fostering is that you have to let go one day ):
Fostering is one of the most generous and kind hearted acts, but it's just that if I were to foster an animal, I would be too emotionally attached to let go

@@pilotrt letting them go is the best option for them, their mission is to find as many dogs forever homes as many as possible! There's way to many strays, it'd be impossible to keep every single one. But lending them that hand to find them people who will cherish that dog and love that dog till the very end, is why they let the dog go. Dog's deserve unconditional love.

That’s why my best friend has 6 cats and 2 huge dogs - she’s a failed foster. She tried to get me to foster as well, but I knew I couldn’t let them go. I did adopt 2 feral kittens, though, and I’m still in contact with their foster family who are just phenomenal people with huge hearts. I’m too selfish to do it, but I’m so glad that other people can. I donate money and food to shelters and rescues, but I know it’s not enough to save them all.

Sorry that you have to give him up. That must be breaking your heart. It's okay to be sad about it. Don't bottle up your emotions. Then think of how awesome you are for making sure he's going to a great family and that you've done the most generous thing you can ever do for him. Take strength from this, and one day, when circumstances are right (whatever your reasons are for being in this situation, they will pass), you'll have a home in which to welcome another life. This pup wasn't meant to stay forever with you, but clearly this time you've spent together has been a wonderful thing for him. There is going to be another dog out there when the time is right who is supposed to be with you, and you'll have the best time of your life. Good luck and take care.

The previous owners that did not want her obviously had no idea how privileged they were to have such a beautiful creature in their lives. I had a gorgeous blue great dane since 8 weeks old till 7 years of age when cancer cut his life short and he was the best dog I have ever owned and miss him tremendously every day. He made those seven years the best period of my life.
Well done by giving marshmallow the love and kindness she deserves 😍

That is the most noble thing in my opinion
There are lots of people who buy pets but they end up being abused and living sad lives because the owners have too little money, but they got the dog just because it's cute

Thank you for what you do for these beautiful animals. My Great Dane, Tara who was a fawn, lived until she was 11 years old and I was only 7 when we first got her as a puppy. Those 11 years were the most wonderful of my life and I still miss her every day even though I was 18 when she passed away and that was 40 odd years ago now. Penny, a friend of my mums, was so enamoured with Tara that she ended up having four danes, a fawn, a brindle and two blues, from rescue centres over the next 20 or so years, giving them all wonderful lives. The first of these, called Sasha, became Tara's best friend and we often looked after her, both of them often sleeping on my bed so that I often ended up waking up on the floor having lost the battle to retain my own sleeping place.
