There are so many comments, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but he is living in the Kansas City, Mo area. The shelter that he was at before being fostered is called Kansas City Pet Project. I believe that they are one of the biggest non-kill shelters in the state. Currently, they have a ton of dogs looking for their forever homes. Lots of pitties but other breeds as well. If you live in the area and want to get to know one of the puppers a little better than just a meeting, they offer doggie days out where you can take them for a walk or see how well they handle cars. The facility also has a vet clinic on site so each animal brought in gets checked out before being approved for adoption. From my understanding, adoption fees are fairly low as well.

i usually think this alot too when i watch this type of videos, but at the end of the day "foster fail" basically means one less "out of jail free card" for other animals in need, i would much rather foster win and cry the whole damn pacific ocean while saying goodbye than having to struggle financially because of my selfishness about wanting to keep all of 'em, it wouldn't be fair for the ones that still need a place to call home.

I've fostered British Staffies / American pitties and they truly are velcro dogs! But my only Foster fail was a lovable half lab half German Shepherd. Total velcro dog and not that that's a bad thing, but to decrease any separation anxiety I did train him laugh get him to stay in one room and then I'd walk one room away and call him and give him a treat, and then two rooms, by the end I can make it all the way to our front door and call him and he would come. But I'm a sucker for velcro dogs!!

So many dog owners aren't honest with themselves about being a good pet owner...a powerful smart breed takes a sure handler and good training. My rescue Ginger (We "think" she is coming up on two years old now) had been in the humane society for more than one year when I rescued her on July 1, 2021. To the best of our knowledge, she had never been in a house, a car or on a leash or had much if any experiences so we had a lot of "catching up" to do. She did not know her name, how to walk on a leash, or much of any basic commands. Nine months later she knows her basic commands and is now learning more manners on the leash (not to pull, to obey, not to bark/lunge at runners, bikes etc.) Ginger has a very specific schedule as well (I SWEAR that she tells time!) I find that being on a schedule and being home in our quiet and calm condo works the best for her. She loves to lay on her dog bed in the sunshine of our sunporch and watch the people zoom by. We spend our days together. She is my companion dog, and I am her entire world now.
