Showing running your AC lines was helpful for me, thanks, I want to run AC in mine too. Nice problem solving and getting your measurements right on your trailing arms. I felt like I spent hours on my A-arms trying to make sure they were correct on my bug. Always better to take your time and get it right to begin with. Keep up the good work guy!
No problem HRD, AC will definitely be nice here in Phoenix! The trailing arms would have "worked" the way they were but I am much happier with them now and it wasn't too bad to get them straightened out.
I have really been enjoying this series! Do you prefer the early Super Beetle to the regular classic Beetle? I got to have the flat windshield though... I am going to be purchasing a beetle soon to do a full restore / modification and preservation for use down in Panama. I figure, if they've lasted this long, with a full restore, it should last the rest of my life down there in the beautiful cool mountains. With a few spare parts and such of course. I'm just torn a little between which years to buy. Thanks!
We pretty much across the board prefer Standard Beetles over the Super Beetle. The front suspension on the Super isn't as stout as the Standard Beetle. Sure, it does turn a little better and have a slightly "better" ride, but I'll take the stronger more durable beam front end over struts for something that I want to keep long term.
This is going to be a sweet daily. Keep up the awesome work guys.
Thanks Kiefer, it should be, especially with AC!

How did you come to the conclusion that the angels are not right on the 3x3 arms without the complete car resting on the ground?
Wow! I can't believe you had to do that!
It's the "price" you have to pay when you don't pay the extra price for arms that are made in the USA!

Where did you buy those arms from?
How did you determine that the angles are not right without the completed car resting on the ground?
The car was assembled and driving before the arms came off.
👍 got it, thank you, mine seem to be about 18 deg at full droop,I'll have look into it more tonight.
@@Dj-ve2hx that's a good amount of negative camber! I'd definitely be redoing those pivot points if it was my car!
Oops, about 1.5 to 1.8 deg
While you have it apart, why don't you install a rear torsion adjuster?
I thought about it but after talking to some wise council, this isn't a race car and will be fine without one.
