They can jump between genres, even have many genres all in the same song, and nail it every time. There are very, very few bands out there that can pull that off, or even dare to try.
They wrote this on the day they met up in Germany, 5 months after the start of the war, this was the first time they met since fleeing Ukraine, it was an emotional outpouring of their feelings about their situation. This video is the official video with only Maria and Kate shown in the video released in 2023, I much prefer the first video they recorded of this on that second day in 2022, that one was recorded the next day after they wrote it and recorded live in their new studio, the line-up of Kate, Kira P, Maya, Anna and Maria, five of the seven girls in the band at the start of the war. You can see on their faces how they feel, there's no smiling and contains the lyrics "I'm still alive" and "Happiness in foreign". This version is good, its just I find the 2022 video more emotional.
This is so sad, angry, and frustrated. My heart goes out to them. In the video Kate throws down her sticks in frustration or defeat and leaves, but she goes and wraps her wounds, pulls her sleeve across her mouth in resolve, and gets up and rejoins the fight. So this song is also about not giving up, even when you're wounded and things are hard.
For a long time I had only 2 favorite bands :Band Maid (from Japan ) and The Warning (from Mexico). Looks like from now on I will have my third favorite band :The Siixsters ! This Ukrainian band is amazing! I like them a lot! Thank you for your reaction.
Even now Polina & Sofia live 2 2&1/2 Hours away. They usually can only Practice Together once a week. I’ve been trying for awhile to decide if Maria is backing up her own vocals. (which isn’t unusual for singers to do). I think it’s all of them playing because they already played it LIVE in the other First Video. A very Fun fact though is had they wanted to -Maria Could do Vocals, Rhythm guitar, Lead guitar, And Piano. She’s a real killer. Gotta have KATYA though. mho this video shows a big empty space w/ a lotta people missing, when you get hurt bandage up and get back in the fight and maybe some survivor guilt. Yikes
This is there most historic songs. their first WAR song. 6 months after the invasion began they finaly got together in a small studio in Germany and came up with this song in one hour. I do like this video but the original raw demo is so much more powerfull. This was just a reunion at the time and when they did the video only 2 members were still in germany. FYI Katyas house was destroyed, bombed , by Russia on the second week of the invasion
Actually it was their second, Pravda was written and recorded just after the invasion, before they fled, the final recording with Kira as lead singer. They only managed an audio recording of this song.
@@dancan6622 The invasion was 24th Feb, they released it on the 28th, read the words, obvious reference to the invasion, "Who invents our destiny He takes away our freedom let him tremble at the truth Know that everything has a beginning and we do not need to be silent let him burn in hell!"
What a start to a track 'im still alive and it upsets me " sends shivers down me 🤔 impressive track.
Fantastic song. Love the vocals. ‘Happiness’ is anything but. Happy they got out, tragic that they had to.
Great band with a solid future in music. They are making the best of a terrible situation. Wishing the best for them.
Their music is so powerful and tasteful, they are on the path to being a musical force to be reckoned with.
They just never miss

From Ukraine with love. Thanks for your reaction.
I hope peace comes to your country soon. Thank you for The Sixsters!

I agree they are always so upbeat and just cruise on but there, they look so sad you can really see it.

@@BoringTaff I could be wrong but I thought it was recorded before the war and released after
