Having been a Hammond tech for 38 years, I have got to say this is a great sounding one.
❤❤❤спасибо🙏💕, добрый человек❤, привет из Сибири🙏💕
And that Lesley doing its thang!✌️🌟👏
@@markielinhart спасибо🙏💕
do you make house calls? I have a '62 Hammond A-102 that could use a checkup!
edit: and a matching '62 Leslie 142 that could also use a checkup!
I have to say I agree, I have no experience whatsoever with the workings of a B3 but the first thing I noticed was how killer this thing sounded
Ummmm...whose G-String & what roll did it have in this? ;-)
Mojo
The Hammond C3 and Leslie loudspeaker. "Two great tastes that go great together." As a percussionist, I must give kudos to the drummer and vibraphonist. Great playing, all of you.
That's actually known as a "B3" Hammond organ. It really isn't two tastes, either. The Leslie is integral in the classic B3 sound. Not sure, but it looks like this particular organ may have some internal issues by the sight of all those components located on the board atop the instrument.
It did have a nice "thong" though. LOL
Looks like an A100 to me!
A100 @@davidhbrown9767
It is an A100, and the kit on top are effects pedals. An A100 is essentially a B3 with an additional internal amp, speakers and reverb and a different style case.
2 internal amps , as the reverb has its own amp and own speaker from memory.

The 3 are fantastic musician, a special point to this fantastic drummer, his shuffle rhythm is so precise and swinging, it is beyond everything.
nice balanced volume between the 3......usually its unbalanced and screws the dynamic up
As a enthusiast of Hammond organs I believe this is a Hammond A100. All 3 Hammond models... A100 - C3 and B3 have basically the same mechanics just different cabinets.
Yes, but this model comes with a shiny thong on the side to make it sound even more funky
Haaaa.. I did not notice that until you pointed it out. Maybe he's drying out his laundry on stage? Also didn't notice how many effects pedals he has on top of the organ.@@rob9540
Definitely an A100, my favourite beast… I have an A100 & Leslie 147… the sound kicks ass !
I had several B3s we used with Leslie Model 122's in rock bands growing up....my understanding is the A100 - C3 and B3 have identical mechanics just different wood cabinets. Nothing like that sound to this day! @@davidrossatkin1950
In 1962 with some mates from school I hitch hiked to London to go to the Flamingo to see Georgie Fame who we had read about in the Record Mirror. At last, this little bloke came out and climbed on to the stool and started playing the Hammond. Wonderful sound. Then this huge voice came out singing blues as we had never heard....
It must have been great. G.F. my idol.
Outstanding Soul Jazz with three extraordinary musicians!!!! Thanks for keeping Soul Jazz alive!!!
Don't know how the algorithm got me to this video, but what an absolutely great band, huge pocket, with a killer shuffle! - Like!
Fantastic hammond playing and drumming, and that vibes player is other worldly! What an excellent trio.
Wow you folks are smokin'!
Fabulous trio, nice to see the Leslie at work. An A100 is just the same as a B3 but different cabinet with amplification within the cabinet, this well gigged one is still going strong I guess without its own internal works.
Yes, I removed both power amplifiers and the three speakers as well to reduce the A-100's weight.
great playing, love it and love the hammond just enough growl
This is the real sound of B 3 Hammond. Like all the greats sounds of 60s organist.
WOW! It swings like crazy!
Your Hammond's sound is awesome wow! Awesome music!!
Vibes and Hammond. Not often heard together, but instead of either one taking all the limelight they built something amazing together! 5:51 3 years since posting but I’m searching the internet for this group and hoping I can catch a performance somewhere.
This tune reminds me of Jimmy Smith's tune called "A Subtle One". Guys keep up the excellent playing.
I'm here for the Hammond B-3,...but I'm impressed by the vibraphones,...but really the whole trio is magnificent. Bravo!
Same here. The relaxed playing style of the drummer is also great.
that's a C-3
@@alfredomeister9817 that´s a A100
@@dle1081 damn u righr
@@dle1081 Correct - I know I had one years ago.
Amazing!! Love the shuffle rythm and you do it sooo well. Organ and vibes so exceptionally well played. Thanks!!
Where was this gig? In some underground opium den? That applause was hardly befitting such a phenomenal performance. Geez, do people appreciate real music anymore! Hell, just know that I am on my feet clapping and whistling loud and long over here in Los Angeles, Matthias &Company! Superb performance.
Killin’ it gentlemen!
Man, what a great outfit..
Some sort of serious magic going on here! 😄
Ah, spills in my chine, thrills and gasping. FABULOUS! Thanks guys, so much!
That was a great jam! You guys are tight. I really enjoyed listening to this!
Wow, fantastisches Trio, toller drive & coole vibes
Swingin!!!
There are definitively some serious JOS chops here! Great music, superb musicianship! Thanks a lot, guys!
You sound great! Kind of fascinated by your setup, will have to go through your channel now.
Great! Great! I loved the video! Not sure if the organ is B-3 or C-3. However, it doesn't matter, your sound is wonderful. I noticed the Strymon effects pedal, I've wanting to try one. I own a Hammond sk2 and it's wonderful and light enough to schelp to gigs! Anyway, thank you for your wonderful music!
So so good!! I'd love to be listening to this live while enjoying a delicious sandwich!
& Bowl of Chili ! ! !
My god I've never heard a left foot groove so hard. This is incredible
That left hand is pretty groovy too!
Amazing!!!! I really enjoyed it!!!!
That old C3 has been around the block a few times! Sure does sound good though! Nice jam you guys!😉😄
There was a Hammond I knew of that survived a fire. It went back in service after just having a paint job (white).
I wholly "Second the motion" on all these [+ +] comments.
SUPERB groove on this number with the vibes combo including drums. Tremendous. 💌
The sound of angels singing....
wow, superb stuff. These guys absolutely owning it
Wow! Those musicians are incredible!
this is golden!
Damn some of the best music I've ever heard.
I love that organ sound!
Lordy this is Great!!!!
Swingin, awesome, cool,feel plus.🎹🎶👏
Wow, nice sounds!
I've never been into Jazz, but this was good!
What can I say, I love the Hammond sound!
Excellent playing by all! Creative soloing, sensitive ensemble, and fun!
Nice.
Killer, just -- KILLER!
Gorgeous !!!!
I enjoyed very much !!!
Sehr geschmeidig 😵💫
I had never heard of you, and for some reason UA-cam decided to show me this video and I'm so thankful for it! like any hammond organ nerd, I'm SUPER interested in your rig - how you're using the effects, and the Roland amp on top of the Leslie. you've got an awesome sound, like Larry Young straight tone mixed with the Leslie stuff. amazing.
thanks Josh! The A100 was a rental, I didn't use any of the effects, just straight into the Leslie speaker🙂
@@fatgroovesb3dame hear UA-cam suggested your video. As a fellow b3 player I gotta say you slammed it brother.
Where are you in the world . Would be great to have you play in the states.
@@jeffconley819 Thanks man! I'm based in munich, germany but lived in nyc for almost 10 years. Would love to come back to the states again at some point!
Thanks for specifying what was on top of that bitch (Leslie). Was the Roland amp used, and did it sound better than the operatic bitch (Leslie)?
FANTASTIC!!!
❤❤❤спасибо🙏💕🙏💕
Привет из Сибири❤, спасибо, добрый человек❤,, хороший👍 день☀❤
"Groovimus Maximus!" Great communication. That was REALLY well done, guys! :)
I love me some Hammond
KILLER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great playing! Killing it!
Großartig!
Good to see you using the bass pedals. I can not hear the vibraphone enough. I always like brushes on the drums. Wood sticks are too much. Vibraphone solo good.
Just Groovin'!
But what's all the gear on top of the organ ? and for what ?
Would love a tech video about the chopping process and the mods.
I like this stuff man
Lovely
Killer performance and like 5 people in the audience applaud at the end?
Keep it coming Matthias
That is cool ! Do you have any sheets for this tune ? 👍🏻😀

Hey man, nice chops!
ya ya man....killer groove playin..... cool man .... fn cool...ps... hes playing the bass with his left hand......brett g
That's sweet!
How's he getting that tone ? I'll bet it's that blue g string on the side of his organ .
I like the music and B3…but also the string upfront😅
The lick at 0:36 🎶🔥
I remember the Beatles roof top consert❤
Wow. Loved it all. Drums, Ives bass and that wonderful B3
aber nur vom Feinsten! Respekt!
Jimmy smith's looking down proud man.
Mat, bro! You know your price… just to say you how love you as musician))
thanks, man!
bravo
Great
I feel like taking up smoking and wearing a black beret when I hear a jam like this.
brillant
Muy buenos
The main differences between the A100, B3 & C3…
Electrically identical, except the A100 also has built in amp & speakers, and a seperate reverb channel.
"The best B3's are A100's."
@@blueeyedsoulman Whatever did it first, did it best. The A-100 sounded like an actual pipe organ, a synth, and its own self (drawbar organ), when it first came out. I hate Leslies, especially since they sound like the Tibias on a theater organ, when stronger registrations are used. That's what that hack Donald Leslie wanted for the electric organ. Many players don't know that.
yeah!😀
Lovely sound it all looks like it’s held together with chewing gum, which sounds lovely
Slick.
Killer...!!!
What are all the stomp boxes, and why? - please.
Do you know of Moe Denham of Nashville=
?
Why do have a blue G string hanging on the right side of the organ?
Yeah !!!
Anton lavey got drum skills
Die Orgel kenn ich doch 😂😂. Organ Explosion?

🔥🔥🔥
Great sounding B 3
Oh ya baby
Smoking playing!
