What idiots we were back then getting conned into believing that new and shiny was better than old and solid. I shudder in shame and remorse at what I’ve dumped or seen dumped and which now I see as iconic and magnificent.

They're not. Standard springs, 5 leaf on the front and 7 on the back. Wide springs all round.
