  • Torques boxes in a classic mustang are almost mandatory, Here's my take on doing the installation of some CJ pony, Dynacorn 2 piece torque boxes.
I also install the shock tower reinforcement plates from NPD.

Shock tower reinforcements was one of my first upgrades. And thanks for some of your older torque box videos gave me confidence to tackle those as well ... thank you .. from 68 cougar cousin

Barry, for us, that love to watch a pro, like you perform a task, before diving into it ourselves, your like the consummate "Professor" !!! I've done the front torque boxes last year, and just finished the shock tower reinforcement plates from Open Tracker Racing on my 65 Fastback.. I drilled a hole, in the center of each plate, and threaded it, for 1/2" by 20 threads to use a plug to seal it afterwards. So I could use Eastwood Internal Frame coating is in there, after all of that welding in my, previously repaired and reworked shock towers. It's a case of Overkill I'm sure, though it helps with my "rust" paranoia.... Love the Arccaptain 200 getting a work out in this segment.. Carry on brother !!!

I'm looking forward to the next video, I'm working on my drip rails now. They were a real pain for me. Cleaning up all the tiny spot welds. Thanks

I call it what it is "Step Flanging". That's what I was taught by the "Old timers" when I started doing body and frame repair, way back in 1964. I retired medically back in 2009, knees shot and L4 and L5 messed up from a bad accident in '98. Got "T" boned in a 1985 F-150 doing 3 mph in an intersection by a 1993 F-150 going 65 mph in a 30 mph zone. Yep, knocked my cab 6 inches to the left off the frame. Btw, couldn't sue because there wasn't enough money in it for the lawyers. I am a "very sore" survivor at 73 years young.
