Thank you for posting this video, Gene. It was very helpful. I hung eight tie up curtains last night and got better each time. The trick really is in the fold and to keep it like an accordion.
Someone had give me and my wifey some nice linen tie up curtains for a wedding gift, but we never hang them up because we didn't know the starting point. She did the shoe string ties. I fold one end of the curtain and she fold the other end of the curtain to get that neat accordion look, then we just inserted the folded curtain ends into the tied loops. I think your video is very self-explanatory, and thank you for showing us the starting point.
Thank you for posting this! I just installed one, and spent more time then I'd like to admit looking at the picture on a package and the curtains in front of me before I found this video!
Thanks soooo much! You saved my life (well, just a slight exaggeration, haha). No really, I was struggling with how to make my curtains look good, and I couldn't figure it out. Even if we can't see every detail in the video, it's so easy to extrapolate. And it worked! Phew!
As a note, for those complaining that they cannot see Gene folding the curtain up, try clicking on the "full screen" option on your UA-cam screen. I can see him perfectly fine. Thank you, Gene!
Gene, unfortunately, you stood in the way when bringing up the accordion folds and inserting each side into the looped ties so, therefore, it could not be observed exactly how to do it. Also, I would have liked to have seen how you draw up/draw down the curtain. Maybe another video?
This was helpful for people who have some experience with this type of window curtain. For people who need to see every step visually, some was not easy to view the technique. I'm always looking for the perfect look & easiest way to get that perfect look. It just takes time & patience to get it done the way you want it to look. Explanation was good, but some of the visual wasn't. Some people have to see it all to get the best outcome. Good luck with getting a new look.

Thanks for the tutorial, but that is one unfortunate curtain!
These do not fit. How do I return them?

I opened the pic all the way, and it was STILL not a good demo- too bad!
You can't see how your folding them on bottom because you're out of camera sight and that's the most important part to see!
Very Helpful...thanks for posting
My husband totally caught on. I felt like, I was "slow"...lol
Whoever or whatever was filming this needs a new technique - hard to follow with presenter standing in front of project and no zooming on actual steps
I would like to see how to do a nice bow

Thanks this was very helpful
Please, for those of us who are doing this for the first time, do NOT stand in front of the subject matter. How frustrating.
do it again but with u on the way thanks
very nice.
thank you!
LMFAO!
That is one ugly curtain.
I agree...really ugly!
It’s just for a demonstration, people! Take a breath.

Doing it the hard way. On a table or a floor you can pre fold & band or pin. Install, adjust straps, drop the drape. Done. Men... smh.
Great idea! Thanks!
