[4K] How to Hand Solder 0402 Small Surface Mount Component SMT/SMD Like a Pro

This video shows tips to manually solder small SMT component like 0402 package. Although 0402s are extremely small, you can solder them like a pro if you follow my instructions.

Large ICs are actually pretty easy to hand solder even with very fine pitch because they're heavy enough to stay put instead of sticking to your soldering tip or tweezers. Extra flux really helps, though.

Do 0402 have any ohm? Because some are 1.00 ohm and some are 9.99ohm

I have a question, could you take a small wire brush wheel, say for a low rpm Dremel, to clean of the oxidation off the older tip?

May I ask what liquid you use before soldering?

It's flux. It cleans the pad and helps solder spread to the whole pad (capillarity).
