Wow, what a haul! The picking gods were smiling on you, cha ching! My suggestion is to take in a few key baskets to your booth to sell at a time. When those go, bring in more; otherwise, the number could be overwhelming. Score of the year. TFS.

That's the most baskets I've ever heard of at a garage sale! I've bought plenty new at retail prices, but my two best deals were one for 10 cents at a garage sale, and another one- a purse basket, like new, with a liner and protector, for 25 cents.
Yes, she was a collector for many years. Wow, you scored on those!
I’m a LB reseller. There is still a little money left in them even though prices have tanked. Ebay prices are higher than FB group prices. Wrought iron and pottery are holding value better than the baskets. You should be able to get $65-70 if you lot up the Envelope Rack with 2 envelope baskets and around $100 for the Generations stand with shelves. If you need help with identifications, just let me know. 😀

Awesome haul, Tammy! You could even use a basket for your baby baskets! You did great, you do have a good eye and I also like that you try to keep prices reasonable in your booth. That way you can sell more and have more fun buying!

Yes, it's always a good feeling to know you've made someone happy with a good deal. It helps you both and it's so much fun hunting for treasures! I can see you are a good and generous person and you deserve the blessings you receive! I wish we lived closer, I'd love to hang out with you sometime! It would be fun to do yard sales too! If the baskets are dirty u can wash them in the bathtub...my mom collects them and that's what she does...what an awesome score!!!!

I hate to be the wet blanket… I personally would sell the baskets quickly.... I think that their collectibility is not going to go up ....it’s going to go down because the market is being flooded right now .... by collectors and dealers alike…
I think there are too many mass produced ones were sold and taste has changed.
I’m not saying quality baskets are not still being sold ....I sold a 100-year-old Amish Apple basket last year for $125.00
Distributors with stashes are liquidating…I went to two different flea markets this month 9/18 in the Midwest and saw prices ranging for the same basket from $100.00 to $35.00 to $3.00...
One lady started out at the beginning of the sale “ buy three get one free.... at about $25 a basket…
by the end of the sale it was “buy five for $10 get three free....”
She didn’t want to warehouse them, she didn’t want to pack them and she thought that if they got transported to many times they would get destroyed... so people were taking advantage of that but buying a fewer..
nobody is adding tons to their collections because those who collect it already have huge collections....
I’d say any mass produce collectibles from the 1980’s on will lose its value! At least for the next 10 to 20 years. Mass produce collectibles from the 20s and to the 60s were still made of quality materials ...the stuff made from the mid-70s on was made of cheap materials... I don’t see how they’re going to hold any value...
There’s just too much of it and the new crowd does not want collectibles... they want one interesting piece…
I still buy collections as you get the best deals that way but I turned it very very quickly I just don’t have the storage for it anymore....
I used to have four booths and four storage units , one of which was a huge carriage house… I also used to do 4 to 6 shows a month.
I am now down to my garage and one booth and doing maybe one show every 30 to 45 days. I mostly just observing the public to see what people really are picking up at retail shows.
I am not online yet but that is my goal in 2019! Hopefully less work…
I did an analysis of my sales over the last three years… I made money
but in reality by the time I figured in things like storage, my own time ( 60 hours a week), any help that I had to hire, rent, and other overhead as well as my own sanity from being overloaded with too many things that I had no passion for And only bought them because they were a good deal…
it cost me money to buy those bundles so what was the point?
Now if I buy collection I try to turn it within 60 days or goes out the door...
I also only buy what I am passionate for…
That is the debate too... One argument is if you buy what you’re attracted to you pay too much if you have no emotional investment you find the best deals and turn them quickly…
I personally disagree but it might be my business model if I’m passionate about something, I’m gonna talk about it , I’m gonna find other birds of a feather and I’m going to turn my items quickly…
But as far as mass produced collections I’d be careful acquiring them..
With your background and the fact that we’re heading into the holiday season I would probably make some vintage gift baskets out of them...
Put them in one section or table and advertise them on Facebook marketplace With a decent price.
you can maybe clear a lot of inventory with “Tea for two” basket with cute creamer set, tea pot and throwing a couple herbal teas
Or “vintage glam girl” with vanity set some costume jewelry an old vintage hat, Etc ...
You could have cards and your bows close to it so it’s a one stop shop!
Get rid of some inventory, sell the baskets or at least some of them or Maybe host a build your own party At your mall…I don’t know just some ideas off the top my head
Several people have done that at my mall ,one lady held a class on how to do vintage pottery succulent gardens...
They have one of those about once a month and the mall advertises it.

I actually have already sold almost all of them to two different collectors that frequent my antique mall. I have about 8-10 left and most of them are small. A few I’m keeping, but I wondered about their value as well, since they’re not in business any more...I sold them pretty quick, and made a very nice profit😊Thank you again for all your knowledge!
Wow that is great! Might be because of the region you are in... this event I was telling you about happened September 22, 2018 here... sure will be different different places… But overall I have talk to other dealers about this and some study on my own that’s what I think the trend is going.... I have been selling antiques since the 80s and I do have a degree background in the stuff… But I’m sure regions are different
I mean related degree...that didn’t turn out right...auto text...I really think antiquing and resale is a little bit of guessin and a whole lot of shared horse sense😜

I have to tell you that the baskets you found will be worth a lot for Longaberge has just closed up for good. so they will be colletors. and I live very close to all the factories and the shops here in ohio.
