  • We do a little redneck frack job on one of our wells and try to clean up the other. Initial results on the frack are questionable. We will update with more conclusive results.

    few things I noticed: coming from a motor racing background, I found that reliable electrical connections needed to be soldered as well as crimped. I know, lots of manufactured stuff relies on crimping, but thats not 100 %reliable. your well with dirty water needs to be flushed a long time, it should eventually become clear. pressuring the clean water well has insufficient pressure to open up solid rock. hope this helps, even though I'm commenting months after the event. maybe I should give up watching your vids from the beginning?

      Don’t worry, there will be a frack take 2 hopefully in the summer. Toilet paper roll and black powder!

    • @akyhne
      @akyhne 3 роки тому +4

      There's absolutely no reason to solder crimped connections.
      All that matters is that the cable fits into the connector and that you use a decent, professional tool to crimp it together.
      I know that the quality in the auto industry can be questionable, that's not the case with professional grade electric components. They also are quite pricier.

    We just discovered your channel yesterday & we are binge watching your videos & my husband is a plumber & electrician (20+yrs) & we own a plumbing company & he specializes in well pumps...he was talking you through the video (you probably could hear him LOL)! He couldn't sit still trying to "help you" & telling you to just go another 20/40 ft & you would probably have clearer water. I was like ummmm...Babe we're a year late. It was just hilarious watching him watch you! Wish we had found you guys sooner but we're thoroughly enjoying watching your process.

    I know it's too late now, but someone should have given you spacers that would keep your wire centered in the casing. Hope that the person selling you the pump at leadt offered these to you?? The spacers are also to keep your water line centered. To keep it from chafing against the casing.

    No disrespect but when one sees a title “how to frack a water well” you would think in a LONG 30 minute video there just might be some stage of informational dialogue. Was expecting to hear what fracking is and how it’s done and what the expected or hopeful result would be. Editing is your friend to keep a video on topic. Where is the detail as to why you welded a plate and connected a pressure washer and what you were looking to get out of it? I know it’s an attempted diy fracking to pressurize in hopes of more water but why not explain what the pressure does and how it works???

    I bought a place kinda up in the mountains for my area. I'm nervous about getting a good well. It sits on top of limestone pretty much. Has a very old hand dug cistern thats about 40' deep and hits solid rock at about 8'. Great video kinda reminds me of my place. Nothing like real freedom.

      If we learned nothing else with the wells, it was that it’s such a gamble. Researching the well logs with 1/2 mile, none deeper than 100’.

    one thing you forgot to do is put on a pull cable,trust me not having one can make pulling a well pump a nightmare. Also make sure keep good records of pump make model so if you ever need to repair or replace it. Glad you found some sortta water source. Save the other non used well for future geothermal heater system.

    Got to give ya a (A) for effort. Hopefully the water cleans up. From what I see that water will give you big $$$$ issues later on pumps, filters, and piping and so on. I know well drilling is not cheap but sometimes you really got to eat the bullet to save big dollars later on. I had to spend over 60K 10 yrs ago, but they had to drill over 800 ft to get good clean water with a good flow rate. Good luck in your endeavors GOD BLESS

    what kind of well drillers you got around there, just walks away with your money with no good well , the 2nd well they should have blown it out until water was clean, they have the compressor to blow the mud and water out, the 1st well if you have any water at all coming in, witch you say a qt a min.. they shout have Fracked it, a 1/4 stick of dynamite light the fuse and drop it down the well do wonders most of the time, if they didnt do it, i would do it my self wouldnt be the first one i did.. , its not hard to get your hand on, and last but not least, who witched the well, maybe no one, some well drillers just pick a spot to drill and way they go, i witched my well, then i had 2 other older guys witch it as well, so i had 3 people confirm the same spot, were 3 under ground vanes crossed,, the well driller, drilled though 60 feet of red clay, 12 feet if course gravel, they got just under 1 gallon a min at the surface of the bed rock in the last of the course gravel, they drilled 17-4" into solid bed rock, and the whole drill rig dropped 18 inchs into a hole in the bed rock, and got 11 gallons a min, i had them drill down another 8 feet for a sump, job done, with a well 117 feet deep, i must add when my well was drilled in 1998 everyone around me had dry wells, as it was a drought for 3 years, to this day nothing but endless clean clear water, no Irion in it,, how ever it is a little high on calcium, that presser washer will not give you enough presser to do anything, blast it, you have nothing to loss and a lot to gain, being you have some water coming in, the drill just missed the vane by inches, and you have a tiny crack letting in a bit of water from the vane..

    Not being a jerk but I do both drilling and pump work that said you guys did good but for future reference when you have to pull that pump out and if you put it down their with that bunch of loose wires hanging about you will have to pull it sooner or later just hold em flat to the pipe and using good black tape tape the shot out em lol in well business the green tape and black tape are a MUST

    We are getting ready to fush our well with an air compressor that runs a jack hammer and about 600 gallons of water!. I'll flush it until no more sand and silt comes out!. I figure theres 8 to 10 ft. Built up in bottom!. We are thinking of putting in a sistren if this doesent work flushing the well!, I'm not spending the money to drill another well!. Good luck!.
