Finally someone who does full length videos instead of the ridiculously truncated 2-5 minute videos. Very insightful and informational that shorter videos can never keep up with.
Thanks Aaron.....Unbiased and No BS as usual sir. The MRO's design addresses the three issues I have with my Aimpoint T-1 and T-2....Top instead of side mounted control knob, uncapped no special tool needed zeroing turrets, and a larger field of view in a still small package. As soon as my FFL friend's distributor gets them in stock I'm in! Sweet rifle, BTW.
When I purchased MRO I also purchased Trigicons 1/3 cowitness quick release mount. The Trigicon mount has excelent engineering, quick release works easily, mount is solid and doesn't allow sight movement and looks better than other mounts I looked at.
Watched 3 reviews so far and two things have to be said... #1... I LIKE that optic! #2... You did a hell of a lot better review than the last two I watched! Kudos. New subscriber.
Thanks for the review, Aaron. I'll be selling off my PRO and picking up an MRO due to better battery life, more common battery source, and the savings in weight. It's also made in Americuh too.
AlphaHotel I've had my pro for a couple years now, just bought a mro and a geissele mount for it. I like the mro way more. better field of view, way smaller, and its lighter. thinking about selling the pro and buying another mro.
Great review, man! I ordered one last week. I went with the Scalarworks LEAP mount which I ordered yesterday. I cant wait to put em together and start running it. Thanks, bro!🇺🇸
Let me know when you get your botach MRO--I'm wondering what serial number range they're in. Most of the post 4-5K seem to be okay versus some early ones with too much magnification or whatever.
+ZeroCipher7 just wondering if you ever got it. I ordered one from botach a few months ago with express delivery and they werent even in stock.... i tried calling them and all they told me was theyd send me one when they got in stock. no date or anything. needless to say i canceled my order and went with optic planet. It was like $50 more but got it in a week
Hey man very well done and informative review compared to all the others out on youtube. Seems like all the other reviews just try to blow up the optic whereas you address these things from a consumer point of view and raise questions that everyone else over looks, like is it worth it to upgrade from an aimpoint. Well done.
Have you noticed any magnification what-so-ever? Apparently, some people have complained of a slight magnification that gives them a bit trouble when shooting with both eyes open.
+Stephen Lozano You might get it sooner than you think. Mine was gonna take a few weeks and it came out of back order like...in less than 1. Assuming you bought it from Botach? They said they shipped a separate thing I ordered first because the ADM was on back order, but today I received both things. It's pretty damn good.
what height of mount do you prefer and why? I haven't really had to deal with picking one (owning eotechs in the past) and being 99% sure I'm going with the MRO next I'm having a difficult time deciding what height would be best. lower 1/3 or absolute?
i sold my aimpoint magnifier but from experience american defense is glad to help you pick the right optic mount that will line up with the right magnifier mount. just tell them if you want absolute/low or 1/3rd n they will give you product numbers. great company.
Hi, Aaron. Stopped by and visited KGMade. Great guys there. May I ask what the optic was that you were using on the KGMade 10/22? The red dot sight please? I'd been looking at the MRO for a long time. I believe Trijicon is the best in the business and I'll probably go with it for my combat rifles.
+SageDynamics What height mount did you end up liking the best? I can't quite tell if it's a low mount or you kept a co-witness. Gotta love QD mounts. Thanks!
@sage just got my ddv5 s and bought an exps2 but after all this stuff again Eotech I'm lost aimpoint won't due the cold weather and hot weather testing and mro they say have tons of issues. It would be a working rifle in the car and personal use. What do I buy?
Do you get double image at all past a certain distance, when shooting with both eyes ? Something I noticed with mine, ways more pronounced at 100, but up close not so much
I’m looking for a new optic for my AR and I see that this optic came out right about 5 years ago. I was wondering if it’s still relevant or if I should stretch for something newer?
would this optic be a good choice for a 300blk SBR? I'm doing a build and wonder if I should stick with the multi-dot bdc type such as eotech or can you get the job done with a single dot? I have zero range time with such a heavy bullet drop so I'm wondering.
Hey Aaron, I am amazed that you shoot the rifle right handed because you shoot pistol left handed. Is it an eye dominance thing or something else? Thanks!
I ordered an Aimpoint PRO for my first build but I haven't received it yet, and I am seriously considering returning it for an MRO. I have had Aimpoints, and Eotechs, and I would like something different. I also think the MRO is not aesthetically pleasing, yes I know it's function over form, but damn it's ugly. I like the battery life, it's super light and robust, there are a couple of issues that concern me like the battery compartment breaking, and red glare off the back lens. I run my optics out where you do, did you experience allot of glare, did you have any issue with the magnification giving you double vision (I guess would be the term)
great video....I have learned a lot from you and your training concepts when I wasn't learning anything new from other instructor. Especially your thoughts on vehicle, supine, and compression shooting. Keep it up, I always look forward to your training videos. Lastly question Scorpion EVO or Kriss Vector. I don't know which to choose price and ammo doesn't matter and I still can't decide.
love that you just throw your guns around in the bed of your truck. my friends usually look at me in shock when i toss my ar down to grab something else...
I've got a question about the mro early on I heard about possible qc problems with the mro and people complaining about it not being true 1x have you noticed any of this
I recently saw a very early model (double digit serial number) that looked to be 1.25x. Mine is true 1x. I don't know if it was just a small batch or many of the very first off the line but they appear to be out there.
I am having a very difficult time deciding between this and an aimpoint micro...had my mind made up on the aimpoint until finding this. I can't decide :/
+SageDynamics How do you like the PWS line? Can you do a review video on the rifles? I got my MK116 a year ago also getting a MK114 this November. Excellent, well built workhorse rifles.
SageDynamics love your channel. Can you tell me why you chose co witness over 1/3 co witness? I am running Troy BUIS that will be folded out of the way, but if I had them in the up position it would seem to make the sight more difficult to use with the red dot on.
I've always wondered about what ammo you use. Tuly is great for the price, but I always figured with the amount of rounds you use you'd reload your own.
+aaron rothe -- There's a torture test video where they do EXACTLY that--dropping 4-5 ft onto cement. It gets buggered up a bit, but keeps on ticking. It survived everything except they were a bit too close with the bird-shot, and the shotgun killed it by getting a pellet through the optic and shattering the rear lens. I THINK the aluminum in the MRO is tougher than the aimpoints, but not positive--so that test wasn't a good one (can't control where BBs will go--though I saw a T1 survive birdshot).
I'm a bit confused; you say you got the co witness height, but it looks like the "low mount" and not the "full co-witness mount". I can see that it's on top of the American Defense Manufacturing block, but it seems like it would be even higher if it were the "full co-witness mount". Can you please clarify?
there are 3 heights, low (typically not used on an AR, but would have been good for a Shotgun), absolute co witness (lines up with irons), and lower 1/3rd co witness (as name implies irons in lower 1/3rd of FOV)
Finally someone who does full length videos instead of the ridiculously truncated 2-5 minute videos. Very insightful and informational that shorter videos can never keep up with.
ive bought my last 2 optics based on Aarons reviews. his training related vids are great too.
Check out Alabama Arsenal another fantastic optic reviewer.
"...If you're optic is an Eotech and it just goes down."
Excellent quote! lol. I literally Laughed Out Loud on that one!
Great review as always.
Ike
He said that exactly as I was reading you comment. Lol.
That and the McDonald's reference made me laugh out loud
i have used the MRO with an eotech flipover magnifier, works great
this is becoming my favorite gun channel on the tube!!
That shirt is more relevant than it’s ever been, where can I get it?
I would like to politely disagree, and say that MRO is sexy 😍
Agreed
Thanks Aaron.....Unbiased and No BS as usual sir. Just picked one up from optics planet for $385 shipped! Great review.
When I purchased MRO I also purchased Trigicons 1/3 cowitness quick release mount.
The Trigicon mount has excelent engineering, quick release works easily, mount is solid and doesn't allow sight movement and looks better than other mounts I looked at.

Thanks for the review, Aaron. I'll be selling off my PRO and picking up an MRO due to better battery life, more common battery source, and the savings in weight. It's also made in Americuh too.
I have both and a T1. I'm actually thinking about selling the T1. The dot on the Pro and the MRO are way less distorted than the T1's.
AlphaHotel I've had my pro for a couple years now, just bought a mro and a geissele mount for it. I like the mro way more. better field of view, way smaller, and its lighter. thinking about selling the pro and buying another mro.
I actually like the aesthetics of the MRO
Great review

Great review, man! I ordered one last week. I went with the Scalarworks LEAP mount which I ordered yesterday. I cant wait to put em together and start running it. Thanks, bro!🇺🇸
how have i never seen your videos? thank you for a real, no bullshit, factual, well spoken, and direct firearm product review. keep em coming.
I just ordered this optic with this same mount from Botach. Great review and can't wait to try it out.
Let me know when you get your botach MRO--I'm wondering what serial number range they're in. Most of the post 4-5K seem to be okay versus some early ones with too much magnification or whatever.
+evi1joe will do.
+ZeroCipher7 just wondering if you ever got it. just ordered one for my Daniel Defense V7. Can t wait to try it. Thanks for your reviews
I have this optic and absolutely love it especially since I was new to AR... also doesn’t had a noticeable weight to the overall weapon.
Nice! Still working out for ya? What mount did you use?
Hey man very well done and informative review compared to all the others out on youtube. Seems like all the other reviews just try to blow up the optic whereas you address these things from a consumer point of view and raise questions that everyone else over looks, like is it worth it to upgrade from an aimpoint. Now I want a Big Mac
Fantastic review, as always. Got my MRO and ADM mount a while back for my patrol rifle. Couldn't be happier.
Totally putting this on my latest build, money well spent
Thanks for the review very informative. What muzzle brake is that?
Have you noticed any magnification what-so-ever? Apparently, some people have complained of a slight magnification that gives them a bit trouble when shooting with both eyes open.
That mag change @13:20 was smooth asf, nice review as usual✌✊
Awesome video! Just ordered this optic and waiting for ADM to restock their full co-witness mount with the tactical release lever!

+SageDynamics What height mount did you end up liking the best? I can't quite tell if it's a low mount or you kept a co-witness. Gotta love QD mounts. Thanks!
looking forward to this ... you give one of the best objective and trustworthy reviews
Something I noticed with mine, ways more pronounced at 100, but up close not so much
I’ve had my MRO for about a year and a half and I love it.
I’m looking for a new optic for my AR and I see that this optic came out right about 5 years ago. I was wondering if it’s still relevant or if I should stretch for something newer?
Great video. Thank you! Just ordered the Trijicon MRO and an RRA Operator 3 today!
great review, just slapped this on my v11 pro. anxious to get it to the range
Great review ! What do you think about putting the MRO on a VEPR 12? Placement and what base?
+sagedynamics
This was the best review on this product I have watched. Good job and thanks.
I've always liked Aaron's reviews. Am going to try an MRO on my PDX and see how I like it.
Good review... BTW, Where did you get your truck painted/coated?
Move that optic closer to your eye and you'll love it! I promise it's really noticeable with the MRO.
I prefer it pushed out; less tunneling on the optic body and better for NVG.
Do you know if a cover is available for the MRO? Did you see a change in Zero when you take off and the place back on the gun? Good vid
I am pretty sure Scopecoat has one, if not they will soon
Your objective view on the review is great. Thanks.
What is the deal with the parallax shift? Is it a legitimate problem? So many people are claiming the MRO is junk, so I have no idea what to think.
If you have parallax issues your fundamentals are junk not the optic. With a consistent cheek weld it's fine.
Love the t-shirt, "Armed Citizens Matter." Kudos, and thank you.
Aaron what would you pick MRO vs RMR for a carbine?
I can't afford trijicon but man I love the information and the shooting in the video thanks !
Green dot late summer, what do you think?
Ehh, I'll stick with my exps3. Great review though!
would this optic be a good choice for a 300blk SBR? I'm doing a build and wonder if I should stick with the multi-dot bdc type such as eotech or can you get the job done with a single dot? I have zero range time with such a heavy bullet drop so I'm wondering.
Chad Ridler I can't imagine why it wouldn't be.
Thanks. the MRO Patrol tonight from MidwayUSA. thanks again for the review and info
Hey Aaron,
I am amazed that you shoot the rifle right handed because you shoot pistol left handed. Is it an eye dominance thing or something else? Thanks!
Great review. I'll be picking one up for my SBR build.
@SageDynamics Trijicon MRO or Leupold LCO?
I ordered an Aimpoint PRO for my first build but I haven't received it yet, and I am seriously considering returning it for an MRO. I have had Aimpoints, and Eotechs, and I would like something different. I also think the MRO is not aesthetically pleasing, yes I know it's function over form, but damn it's ugly. Certainty better looking than a PRO. lol. Thing looks like it has x8 magnification.
Yeah I would of went with the PRO
Have you noticed any bad parallax shift with the MRO such as by green eye tactical?
Operator Klyde no. Parallax is present in all RDS optics. There is no more parallax in the MRO than there is in other quality RDS.
Great video. Very comprehensive. I always enjoy your reviews.
great video....I have learned a lot from you and your training concepts when I wasn't learning anything new from other instructor. Especially your thoughts on vehicle, supine, and compression shooting. Keep it up, I always look forward to your training videos. Lastly question Scorpion EVO or Kriss Vector. I don't know which to choose price and ammo doesn't matter and I still can't decide.
If I had to choose I would favor the Scorpion for simplicity of function over the Vector
@SageDynamics hey Aaron, just curious on your current thoughts of this optic (Serial numbers above 89k)? Thank you
I’ve covered the HD model update.
@@SageDynamics yes I just watched it. You prefer the HD over the older models. Just curious what your thoughts are on the models over 89k.
@@Mikey5-O don’t have any
@@SageDynamics thank you
Great review, and I'm very happy with my MRO. About to buy another one
Ever had any issues with slight magnification or shift in the target?
Another Awesome Video from one of the Greatest Channels on UA-cam! Thank You Aaron.
just got mine from optics planet $443! can't wait
Thank you for putting out such detailed reviews.
love that you just throw your guns around in the bed of your truck. my friends usually look at me in shock when i toss my ar down to grab something else...
Just got one for my AK, I really dig it.
I just received my Benelli M4 factory SBS, would you use this or a RMR?
MRO. Better field of vision and a little lower cost depending on what model RMR you were thinking of.
what rifle are you using in most of your videos? and is that a Magpul STR stock?
+YenzHouse It is a STR stock
Is anyone still using eotechs given the preponderance of good RDS on the market?
MRO doesn't need to put Eotech out of business they just put themselves out of business lol nice review
Any chance of an LCO review?
Awesome review! Got rid of my Eotech and just placed my order for the MRO w/qd mount.
Very honest, and informative review. Thanks!!
I've got a question about the mro early on I heard about possible qc problems with the mro and people complaining about it not being true 1x have you noticed any of this

I am having a very difficult time deciding between this and an aimpoint micro...had my mind made up on the aimpoint until finding this. I can't decide :/
Good review. What rifle were you shooting?
+tony elum Sage Edition PWS
+SageDynamics thanks
+SageDynamics How do you like the PWS line? Can you do a review video on the rifles? I got my MK116 a year ago also getting a MK114 this November. Excellent, well built workhorse rifles.
Awesome review as always. What hand stop is that on your AR??
Rail scales S3
+SageDynamics Great, thanks.
The Leopold LCO looks like an awesome option too
Excellent review, thank you Aaron.
"mario tubes" dooodooodoooo sound effects XD LOL
Did you go with the ADM absolute or 1/3 co-witness?
Co witness.
Co Witness is Absolute Co Witness
SageDynamics love your channel. Can you tell me why you chose co witness over 1/3 co witness? I am running Troy BUIS that will be folded out of the way, but if I had them in the up position it would seem to make the sight more difficult to use with the red dot on.
Excellent and thorough review.
Fantastic review. Thank you!
Do you prefer the 1/3 or absolute cowitness?
Co witness
Appreciate the excellent review, thank you.
Followup?
what if any options are there for guys who find out after buying a red dot that they have astigmatism?
Lee Holmes I have pretty bad astigmatism. Get a 1-4,6, or 8 scope or an a acog/prism optic. You’ll be happy.
Is that a PWS 12.1 DI Handguard? Badass rifle by the way!
Yes sir
What mount does he have for his MRO?
For the price, would choose the MRO over the Aimpoint PRO?
MRO
+SageDynamics I've had my PRO for over a year with no problems. I wouldn't mind having lighter optic that takes up less real estate on my rifle.
what steel r you shooting with rifle that close?
I've always wondered about what ammo you use. Tuly is great for the price, but I always figured with the amount of rounds you use you'd reload your own.
PMC, Tula, Grey ghost precision and S&B mainly.
+SageDynamics because you'd rather not hassle with the reloading process? Or are do you have some ammo "connections"
+Jay Gee I buy ammo wholesale via my business license; occasionally I get samples. I would love to reload but don't know if I could find the time.
Can we get an update on the mro vs aimpoint t2 and or m5s
Thanks for an excellent review.
Getting one for my Arsenal SGL-21, with a low mount of course!
What if you drop it on the top of the power knob could it break it or change settings
+aaron rothe -- There's a torture test video where they do EXACTLY that--dropping 4-5 ft onto cement. It gets buggered up a bit, but keeps on ticking. What are those feet things on the bottom of your mag? Thanks.
Mag Pod.
Thank you!

Homely appearance. I just lost it 🤣
I'm a bit confused; you say you got the co witness height, but it looks like the "low mount" and not the "full co-witness mount". I can see that it's on top of the American Defense Manufacturing block, but it seems like it would be even higher if it were the "full co-witness mount".
Can you please clarify?
He went with the co witness
there are 3 heights, low (typically not used on an AR, but would have been good for a Shotgun), absolute co witness (lines up with irons), and lower 1/3rd co witness (as name implies irons in lower 1/3rd of FOV)
+New2Kendo looks like he uses an absolute co witness height on both mounts
