44 yo male slug from the uk with a 21 yo daughter When my daughter was being born I watched the whole thing it was absolutely magical and the feelings are impossible to explain you just have to live it my ex didn’t split but she had to be cut a little with the scissors which I shortly after used to cut the cord, I spent Xmas over at my ex’s with her man and his son as well as my daughter were all the best of friends and it means my daughter has the best possible outcome, we split when my daughter was 12 and we’ve always looked out for each other. I was in the room for the birth of all 4 of my children and watched 2 come out. They put up a screen during the c sections so I could hold her hand but not see anything. They kind of me away to follow the baby while they finished up. Never saw anything that prevented me from going back 😊. OTOH, I might be experiencing the menopausal intolerance thing, I hope you're wrong about that one.

I wasn’t even worried about the v tear, the whole your baby being born is intense and overwhelming. As a father the moment you see your baby born you just want to protect it from everything I spent the first 48 hours just starring at my baby girl

I just listened to the podcast with Miranda cosgrove and it was the first podcast I heard by them. And I thought Esther and Khalyla were Miranda’s age but they’re actually older and it’s so refreshing? I stopped listening to podcasts where people talk about themselves since prior to the pandemic and that was before I was 30. It’s so interesting listening to one where people are pregnant, married, divorced, etc. It feels like young people are so prominent on the internet that it’s so refreshing to listen to people who are in my age range (I’m 34). I mean, i don’t necessarily experience the same things they’re talking about (pregnancy, divorce, consistently going to therapy, ever going to a hypnotist or shaman lol) but it’s still nice to hear.

43:55 I wouldn’t say that’s a healthy understanding of core wounds. I think everyone can relate with that feeling of being hurt by someone from childhood, but holding onto that hurt is so much work. I agree you don’t need to make nice, but I just chalk it up to everyone being dumb kids when they were 7-8 years old and move on. She’s making it sound like her sister mastered the internalization of that young pain

I used a massager on my back that u can control how hard you use it. And I felt like a bruise or pain in a few spots for days after. I couldn't see it to see if there were actual bruises but it sure did feel like it. 😂
She kept using the word "beat up" idk if she meant to use it relation to excessive pressure for deep tissue kneading massage. But the term makes it sound like physical abuse or S&M visit.
I have PCOS and have not been able to get on wegovy, ozempic, or saxenda due to the VERY real shortage. Los Angeles has it because that’s where a lot of people are paying out of pocket for it due to wealth. It is extremely real and I’ve cried over it so many times.
Same in Iceland, people with diabetes cannot get it

It's when you unconsciously try to achieve symbolic mastery over a traumatic situation from your past by recreating the circumstances of the trauma to achieve a different outcome. It's a very common (and inevitably unsuccessful) trauma response

I can't stand one of the three and love the other two greatly.
The show is good but every time this person has done the same thing or something better than a guest or knows someone or something better than a guest or one of the other two it takes everything out of the show for me for the day.

OK um.. Uggs are real animal. Yes, wool is shaved but this isnt.. It's sheepskin. The skin is the outer part and the wool in the inner part. It's dual sided. A fur coat will have fur on the outside and be skin on the inside or if it's a shearling coat, the leather is on the outside and the fur/wool is on the inside. It's skin. You're wearing skin.

1:13:41 a month or so ago I was driving and felt something kind of cold and wet dripping down the side of my face. I went to brush it off, flipped out, frantically wiped it off.. looked on my car door and it was a huge slug. I had been outside with my kids an hour or two before. That fucker had been in my hair the whole time until it slowly made its way down my face. I think that officially makes me a slug.. so sometimes yes, there can be a slug in your hair
