@@juttaberlin9428 I live in France. Unfortunately for me, I don't live near a cattle farm or dairy farm or any farming cooperative. It's very expensive here to get cow dung if we don't have direct access to a friendly farmer. The cheapest organic dried pellets they sell online cost about 40-50 € for 20 kg (shipping included). It's not specifically made for agnihotra, but that's the most affordable with a minimum quality. Non-organic cow dung pellets/powder is even cheaper but I'm not comfortable using that, even for gardening purpose only. Agnihotra cow dung cakes made in Europe cost 70 € for 3 kg (shipping included, that's the best deal and the site selling them does not allow to buy more than 3 kg ; you can buy more at other sites but shipping fees explode exponentially). I remembered that at the start of the pandemic, while I was looking for cow dung cakes from India, it would have cost me about 30-50 € to import 1 kg. I've put aside agnihotra practice because it's too costly for me. A luxury, really. I bought all the material, except for the cow dung. If they become available at a reasonable price, I'll get back to it. For now, I do gardening and try networking with gardeners. I've been hoping that maybe, one of them would have cows. No such luck so far. I can get access to horse manure, rabbit manure, goat manure, chicken and duck manure. But no cow.

Agnihotra described here by Sri Vasant Paranjpe is a Vedic science for purification of the atmosphere and healing of all life within that area. It must be performed correctly for it to work, and the only materials used are dried cow dung, ghee and brown rice. Nothing else is recommended to use in this fire, or else the effects will not be there. You may be thinking of a different fire which you can do separately to Shiva. Agnihotra is only performed at sunrise and sunset.
Wow. I can't believe it took me so long to look up ag' on UA-cam! I've had my supplies (w' dung wrapped airtight) packed away, been telling interested people about it, and trying to direct my energies to being a hotri again. Thank you, Bruce Johnson, and everyone who "keeps the homa fires burning!"
