I'm not a mineral collector and I don't buy crystals anymore. I started this collection when I was a child, and all of these crystals were bought and gifted to me over 10 years, before I realised the awful things about the mining industry. At this time [23/03/2022] I haven't bought crystals in probably over 2 years and don't plan on doing so in the future. I respect that in this video I mention how I want to get more of particular pieces, but to be honest, those phrases were said casually just out of habit and excitement about filming this video. Please look into what shops you're buying crystals from and whether they are from ethical mines. I've linked some shops that state they sell ethically sourced crystals below. Hi! Labradorite (pronounced Lab Ra Dor Ite) was first discovered in Labrador, Newfoundland in Canada giving it its name. Beautiful stone if you can get a choice piece with the "Arora borealis" (a nickname for the stone) appearance. Grayer cheaper versions are common. Best pieces are hard to find in Canada right now and I walked away from a beautiful sphere not knowing how hard they were to find at the beginning of my crystal hunting journey. High regrets for sure missing out on that sphere! **Smile**
What an absolutely fascinating selection of beautiful and unusual items you have managed to collect ! I could ( and will ) watch this over & over again .. and as you suggested, pause to get a better look. Have learned about a lot of new crystals from watching. You have a lovely personality and so made the viewing even more enjoyable. This has been the first of your videos that I have seen ... and it made such an impression that I have become a new subscriber. Thank you. Can't wait to see more ( and get out to the shops ) 💕
Congratulations! This was your 100 sub video back in December and now you’re so close to 700! Your channel is doing so well! Your collection is stunning!
Beautiful collection! I am looking to add more to mine and recently learned about the issue of ethics and have been very concerned about not knowing where to buy from. Thank you so much for including links to shops that source ethically! Crystals have become somewhat popular here in the U.S. in recent years and things like selenite and amethyst pop up in big name stores all the time...they are tempting but I won't buy them there anymore as I'm sure they are more likely to have a problematic origin.
Love the video! I forget the exact name, but the one agate that has clay and you said might just be in the UK reminded me of a slice of a brain, like when they study it. Looks so cool! You have an amazing collection. Looking forward to part two
My soul needed this video!😍 You have a stunning collection, I can’t wait to see more videos on it. I love you are the oak witch makes my heart happy, I work with pine trees! Thank you again for the video! Blessed be sister💖💖
Wow...from 100 subs to over 13,000 in just a few years. Congratulations. Makes sense though. You're a very interesting person, well spoken, dedicated to making quality content and I appreciate all the information on folk witchcraft, which is hard to find on UA-cam. Almost every witchy channel is Wiccan or Traditional witchcraft. Enjoying your channel very much. Hi from Ohio.
Beautiful collection. I love your Spanish Pyrite. It’s definitely one of my favorites. The Vanadinite appears to be on Barite in which case it’s likely from Morocco. Cheers!
I really enjoyed your video, you have a lot of nice specimens and I love how you collect mainly raw crystals. My favorites were the phantom crystals, that Moroccan piece is stunning, Where was the red hematoid Quartz cluster that you should before that one from? I was guessing Namibia. That black opal you showed is actually not a black opal even though it’s black, it’s called a Honduran matrix opal. Maybe it is a Black Matrix Opal but the rare black opals are the ones that are solid opal from Australia. Labradorite is actually pronounced like the dog Labrador plus ite. Love the Melanie garnet! Ive been wanting one. In the “radiating“ cluster you showed of aragonite is known as a sputnik. Botryoidal is pronounced Bah-Tree-oidal. I actually stopped collecting pyrite because of some thing called “pyrite disease.” The one quartz specimen I have that has pyrite on it I keep it in a 1 gallon Ziploc baggie with a moisture absorbing desiccant pouch. OK so a pirate disease is not a disease you can catch from pyrite or anything like that, it’s a “disease“ that the pirate itself gets if it’s exposed to moisture, If pirate is exposed to moisture for extended periods of time it can I break down into some sort of caustic acid that can damage other minerals specimens. Sorry voice to text is a jerk and wrote pirate instead of pyrite and I don’t feel like going back and correcting it
Amazing collection you have, this is the first time I've seen your content, do you have a uv light by any chance, if not please think about getting one for looking at your collection with, I'm sure you'll have some that glow, I do know some opal glows under uv lights, and yep I thought I could see colour in your boulder opal. 👍👌💎💚✌️
@@TheOakWitch awesome, you rock🤘haha, I bought a couple cheap ones from wish, but unfortunately none of my stone's glow but it's still fun playing with them, have you ever heard of yooperlites? Check them out when you get a chance if you haven't already, they are amazing. ✌️🌟🤘
The Oak is my favourite tree, specifically the species Quercus robur. Oak is also a symbol of wisdom and strength which I feel personally very close to. Thank you!
Have you done a video speaking about what you use the different crystals for in healing and witchcraft? I love labradorite...it is great for protection...it is the counselors stone...
Hopefully that ethical is separate from people who actually do their hunting to support their lives regardless of age. Meanwhile they are not forced into mining. I pray that people get what they need.
I suggest just doing some research on it, the industry is linked to human rights exploitation and damaging the environment with the way they extract the minerals. I still love crystals but my only point was to be ethically conscious!
I love your collection and your disclaimer about ethical collecting!
This just makes me happy 😊
ethics....first time I have heard anyone bring it up outside of the diamond industry ... nice collection, im a new sub . Rock on !

You had me at "Ethical"! Love your collection 😍
Agreed! I wish there was more of a focus on ethical sourcing in other people’s videos. It’s an important topic!
