The biggest problem with blankets is they are almost impossible to aim directly at the sun if it's not on your windscreen or when the sun moves to later in the afternoon. If they had legs for tilting the blanket it would be easier. Other than that they are perfect for charging all of your appliances such as fridges, lights, inverters etc etc

Being able to angle directly to the sun is definitely an advantage for sucking the most out of the sun. The good thing with these panels is they're small, so you can take excessive capacity - and be a bit lax about following the sun.

@@tentworld how many amps do these panels produce in the real world?

Would have been good to know (and a basic expectation) to understand if the panel actually produces the 200W it states and also if the the controller was a PWM or a MPPT. Pretty basic requirements for any solar system…..

Great that you made this video BUT, seeing as you connected the whole thing up in full sun, it would have been nice to have a real world idea of how many amps this unit produced. Hopefully next time, seeing it's the most important thing.

What is the price of the 200wat and can you leave this permanently outside if it rains??

Hi Keith, the price of the 200w panel is $799. You can check it out here for more info www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/kt-200w-portable-folding-solar-blanket.
Regarding your question of leaving it out in the rain. You can accidentally, and you dont have to get upset that you've destroyed it if you accidentally do. However - you should avoid doing it, and ensure you dry it as quickly as you can afterwards. Letting it get soaked does shorten its life including leaving it in early morning dew. It wont destroy it the first time, or the second but it does damage it slightly each time and shortens its life. So best practise is to quickly pack it away each afternoon (Great for preventing theft too!) and then set it out after you've eaten breakfast the next day. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jon

That's possible Steve but given Korr is quite a small Australian brand its more likely that both Korr and KT source their controller from the same factory in China.
