This really is the king of all Pokemon Card misprints. Over time more copies have surfaced... But there still isn't that many, and most are damaged from play, because that's what people bought theme decks for back in 1999. Making a mint copy pure happenstance and within the upper echelon of difficult cards to collect.

GREAT Video - Very Informative! It makes sense to me that the No Damage Ninetales was a Theme Deck exclusive error given the fact that we've never seen a 1st Ed. Copy like you mentioned. However, I've always been curious as to which TD Variant? I used to believe that they must have come from Gold Strip TD's as I assumed that those were probably the first TD's to be printed - later removing the Gold Strip and continuing Shadowless and then Unlimited Printings. But, few years ago, I was able to purchase my own Sealed No Damage Ninetales which (at the time) had recently been opened and actually came with the wrapping and box and the wrapping was the Heat Sealed Variant.
It's tough because that's only one data point and we still really don't know much about those Heat Sealed TD's. But, I now believe that the Heat Sealed TD's came before the Gold Strip TD's and that the No Damage Ninetales most likely came from those TD's. There have been Brushfire Heat Sealed Deck Openings without the No Damage Ninetales though; so, don't think that you'll definitely get / have a good chance with this variant of TD - this is just my own theory.

Wow that was great man! I imagine not many sheets had the error so no reason not to think some made it into theme decks and not others. The sheets and theme deck runs I’m sure wouldn’t match up exactly. That combined with it being such a HUGE error, it would be noticed so not many would get out. Between psa and bgs it seems the pop report isn’t microscopic but certainly not huge so who knows how many are out there! I’m glad I have my copy but I would love to have a collection like yours!

Is there any visual openings of heat sealed variants even containing shadowless cards? I haven't seen that before.
