I just got Fu Xuan and when I first started I got Ruan Mei and she has always been in my parties as a harmony except for Acheron teams. Super versatile character and very useful.
It's interesting how different people's experiences with sustains are. Out of all of my sustains (Lynx E6, Luocha, Aventurine, E2 Gallagher) My E1S1 Fu Xuan is the one that is benched. I value SP efficiency and comfort which I found better alternatives for. In most scenarios, I'm good with Luocha, Lynx and Gallagher, and if I actually want to survive a nuke, I go Aventurine. Fu Xuan's benefit is that she provides direct buffs, but my crit ratios are already fine. I've heard Fu Xuan is hard to powercreep because she doesn't have a shield, and if there are any enemies that punish shields, she would be an optimal choice. For that I would just go with my healers. Fu Xuan has a different set of weaknesses rather than not having any. I dread bringing her to fights with frequent cc or frequent nukes. She's also the only sustain who I've felt needs her LC if you want to legitimately take her into harder content. Other than that she's comfortable in the early game. As for why she is E1, that was an accident. Two came in one ten pull but I would trade E1 FX for E1 Aventurine in a heartbeat since I value eidelons that change their gameplay. As for harmony, Ruan Mei is also one my less used character. I enjoy break meta, but it's funny that Boothill doesn't need her very much. I originally pulled her for my Himeko and Xueyi, but I've enjoyed the synergy between E6 Xueyi and Himeko without Ruan Mei. At most she's used with my DHIL for some reason. But my typical DHIL team is Aventurine/Luocha Misha and Sparkle because I find it a lot more fun.
@hayemdr3474 Whenever an ally uses a skill point, misha gains one of his stacks and some energy. I consistently consume about three sp with dan heng so it allows Misha to stack up incredibly fast. Misha with full stacks has a crazy amount of toughness break, and even if he hasn't broken anything, he's able to freeze. I had the most fun using him in remembrance runs in Gold and Gears. My Misha is entirely built for freeze and freeze only. I've got him at E2 so he provides some nice def reduction for three turns. Hoping to pull a bunch more on ff banner, his e6 allows him to generate sp.
Yoooo, I'm in a similar spot- I haven't used my E1 Fu in a while because my crit ratios are fine and I also prefer having more SP. No, my SP preference isn't a skill issue, I just like being able to use my Harmony skills more often to get more ults. Luocha, Aventurine, Gepard, and even Gallagher let me do that. It's dope!
@Shayera01 So true! I'm sure some people think that sp efficiency is only important when using SP intensive units such as Bronya or DHIL, but it's important for all units, as most want to use their skills as much as possible unless the effects last multiple turns. My sustain using less SP means more for my harmony units and damage dealers just as you said. Too often I've had to decide whether I wanted to try to squeeze out more damage or if I wanted to refresh Fu Xuan's field just before it fades. Once her field is down there's not much she's contributing.
@@Shayera01yep same here as well, i run the Boothill hyper break team with RM and HMC but i use Gallagher with that one 3 star lc. He generates tons of sp so i can spam skill on HMC most of the time. I didnt get Fu Xuan tho since i lost the 50/50
It's FU XUAN, for me. I believe for F2P players, all that matters is comfort. Like what this guy mentioned, FX is very efficient; (1) future-proof, (2) fits in all teams, and most of all, (3) F2P-friendly. I also agree that there is no way hoyo can just easily introduce a new preservation unit that can outperform FX on what she can do in the game. I have E1S0 FX with 8k HP, 2k Def, and 70% Effect Res outside the battlefield, and I even only have S5 ToM for her, basically a lc that is obtainable and upgradable for free in Herta shop. I achieved these stats as F2P and FX has been carrying my account through the most difficult contents in the game since I got her. Ruan Mei on the other hand is quite the opposite. A bit difficult to build since personally, ideallly I would like to have at least 250+ BE, 160 Spd, and at least more than 50% Effect Res for her. You would also need a little bit defensive stats because you really don't want her to die in battle. In terms of LCs, the best F2P choice for her is obviously MoTP, and personally I think this is the best overall LC to have if compared to her S1. Her signature LC can only achieve 3-turn ult if it's S3 or higher. Meanwhile Meshing Cogs, a 3-star LC btw, can achieve a 3-turn ult at S5 but you will be sacrificing a lot of base stats for her. Additionally, unlike FX which feels so complete even without eidolons, Ruan Mei on the other hand kind of makes you want to pull for her copies. Her E1 offers def ignore, E2 increases her allies' attck, E4 which gives her 100% BE (literally if you get this eidolon you won't even need to bother for having strictly good relics anymore), and her E6 extends her ult' duration by 1 turn and increases her personal dmg by a crazy amount. For those who are unaware, the reason why players prefer to have a 3-turn build is to almost have a permanent uptime buff, but since her ult only lasts for 2 turn without E6, it is unachievable. This is the reason why players kinda wanna whale for her, obviously. Signature LC needs to be S3 or higher in able to compete with other LCs, and without her eidolons it feels like she's incomplete. On the other hand, in terms of future value, I believe hoyo will release a better version of HMC which specializes on BE and super break. A proof for this is very obvious because of the meta. Almost all of units being introduced in the game ever since Boothill got released focuses on BEs. Thus it is safe to assume that hoyo will introduce a better 5-star unit whos specialty is to buff BE units and might also be the start of Super Break meta. Overall, our divination gremlin, Fu Xuan, wins this comparison.

But aside from the stats above, here's what my FX have; Relics: 2pc Guard of Wuthering Snow, 2pc Longevous Disciple, and Broken Keel set for ornaments I have HP body, Spd boots, HP sphere, and Def rope. I sacrificed an ERR rope just to achieve more than 2k Def for her and also because I don't have a good ERR rope that has good substats to give her. ERR rope is just so difficult to farm and if I ever got one it has shtty substats and ridiculous rolls. But if I ever get a good piece, my def would probably go down a bit but I think it would just still be fine, hopefully. And I'm a new player btw(just saying). I just started playing late Acheron patch. And I also don't have Ruan Mei yet.
I skipped Aventurine, robin, topaz, and bootyhill for FuXuan. I'll be skipping Firefly for Ruan Mei. As someone who started playing in 2.0 and didnty have either of these characters before, they are without a doubt going to improve my Acheron + Jing Liu based account.
Can't lose the 50/50 if you never intended to pull for her in the first place. I chose boothill over her and im going for ruan mei and firefly next. I don't need the future gremlin on my account.

I just need them to have more playable Genius Society, need Stephen Lloyd. Ruan Mei main kit weakness is when bosses have the protection for their toughness bar Fu Xuan are excessive dots, constant targeting from heavy hits Fu Xuan and Ruan Mei added so much account value through year1.
So copium choice Fu xuan over Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei is best slot in Dots team still if come other Harmony five star better for break than her she will not lost the slot, is more the bad in the game right now is they are not 2 Ruan Mei.
I was near a 50/50, and debating holding off to get FF and Ruan Mei, and I didn't have either of them or Fu Xuan, but the points made in this video made me do 11 pulls and I ended up getting Fu Xuan. I had 0 5 star sustains though, and had been mostly relying on Gallagher to get through things and the point you made about sustain always being useful and the damage Ruan Mei being replaceable down the line convinced me. Plus the fact that I don't really like Ruan Mei as a charcter, or her animations in game, I am content just focusing on getting FF next and see if I get lucky enough to snag Ruan Mei after that before the banner is up. I'm not interested in Jade so I can spend it all and then build up again after. I probably won't regret this. FOMO is the main reason I wanted Ruan Mei anyway.
My 5 stars are adventurine Acheron huhuo Kafka argenti and Dhil (plus free fr ratio) I have all standard banners exept Bailu is it possible to make 2 viable teams with this lot plus I can get Ruan mei with pulls
The one thing about Fu Xuan is she is a Preservation unit without shields but with Damage Mitigation as in your units take less damage when her field is up. I feel like it is very hard to power creep Damage Mitigation as a mechanic so Fu Xuan won't get power creeped very soon unless we get cracked Sustain unit who is able to provide buffs that rival Harmony units. So I do think as a sustain Fu Xuan would be very reliable.
Adding onto this, this is probably a minor factor for some people but Fu Xuan actually works really well with other sustain units (if you're trying to run multiple sustains, for example in high Swarm Disaster/Gold and Gears runs). Most sustains are limited to either healing (which has a cap) or shields (which don't stack with each other) but Fu Xuan's damage mitigation is so far unique to her and probably will be for a long time. Plus, unlike a healer, Fu Xuan helps the team resist being oneshot.
I got fu xuan but i wish i saved my jades to get rm and firefly. Gallaghers going to be on rm banner and hes amazing as a 4 star sustain. Got 150 passes so hopefully i win 5050s twice LOL
You have no idea. I was so tempted to go for Fu Xuan before Firefly was revealed. I'm at 70 pity right now and it was just so tempting to roll. Now that we know Ruan Mei is there too I might as well save up for Acheron, Aventurine, and Kafka. Those 3 are my biggest priority after the upcoming banner. Saved a decent amount so I have potential to get both Firefly and Ruan Mei. Really hoping we all get what we want.
Im in a rough spot I really dont care about Ruan Mei or break but as more and more characters get added I dont want to miss out on a character I would really like because I didnt have Ruan Mei so I might just cave.
If you have enough sustain I would recommend going for RM she’s great for multiple teams. There’s also a lot of characters that will have break in their kit now because of super break.
Fu Xuan raises the floor of the party while Ruan Mei raises your ceiling. After a certain level of investment, trading defense for offense will clear faster but these are very optimized scenarios the average player wouldn't reach making well rounded characters like FX still valuable for the playerbase at large.
Highly suggest for ruan Mei. Preservation is important true but for how much of a staple most of the supports are in the long run it’s better to get Ruan Mei, well unless you already have her go ahead and pull for fu Xuan
this is the second video i've seen from you where i need to point out asta as an alternative to ruan mei for anyone who's unaware she's a great f2p alternative for some non break teams and plays very well in both moc and pure fiction she can work in a team with firefly since she can give firefly a fire dmg bonus aside from that she excels as a ruan mei alternative in dot (i know bc that's where i use her) and fua (i don't have robin either bc i've been waiting for ruan mei and firefly) and tbh if you can manage skill points well i'd say asta is great in every team with atk scaling dps except the very skill point hungry ones like dhil and qq btw i just got fu xuan and plan to get ruan mei too i need them both badly hopefully i can still get firefly but i need luck for it
I don’t get all the hype for limited 5 star sustains. I clear moc 12 just fine with Gallagher and gepard. I just can’t get behind fu xuan being better investment than Ruan Mei. Just because they might power creep Mei with a better harmony unit doesn’t mean she will become useless.
I NEED HELP if I’m a new player that started when Acheron released got her and aventurine in under 60 rolls should I summon for fu xuan? And if I did would I have enough to get ff and rm with her lc (haven’t cleared a lot of the content again still haven’t gotten far in moc stim universe isn’t done and a lot more i currently have 110 rolls
Hoyo is pushing superbreak meta so hard at the moment. Look at the banner 4*. If you pull on RM banner, you get full setup for superbreak. You get the perfect sustain and dps for superbreak.
Which better guys? I already have mei and ff is secure cause now my pity is 70 (rate on). I want to go for LC but can't choose between ff lc or rm lc? Some people said that ff lc is mid so ofc go for s1 rm. I'm confused.
I got Fu Xuan & her light cone. I let ambient deer blast my team and fu Xuan didn’t even die. Her LC is cracked, get it you’ll need it for swarm if you don’t have insane health rolls on your pieces
Skip both LCs. You can go for E1 Ruan Mei instead. S5 MoTP or Cogs is enough for Ruan Mei lc. You will get stuck with 4-turn ult if you only have her S1. You can only guarantee a 3-turn ult like the other 2 with her sig lc if it's S4 (no hit needed needed from the enemies for extra 10 energy).
I'd say skip both cones and save your pulls just for characters. That said, you can't go wrong with Ruan Mei's E1 or S1. Her E1 gives defense ignore which is good on its own, but gets even better if you have other sources of defense ignore (Pela, 4pc quantum set, Ratio's light cone, etc). Her S1 gives just enough energy to fill the ult for certain units, like Jingliu, without needing Huohuo/Tingyun or an energy rope. The SP gain from ult is nice if you run teams who can benefit from having extra and has an easy condition for Ruan Mei and Harmony Trailblazer, who are popping off now more than ever. It's an especially nice pickup if you don't have an S5 Memories of the Past.

I'd appreciate people's advice becuse I feel like it makes sense for my account to skip both FX and RM but that also sounds like an insane thing to say.... would appreciate people's input. About my account: I started in 2.1 and have pulled Acheron, Aventurine, Robin and Topaz so far, all at E0. I get the monthly pass but nothing else. Atm I'm running FUA (my favourite team) on one side, swapping Ratio/Topaz for Herta/Himeko between MoC and PF, and Acheron on the other side (Acheron, Pela, Guinaifen, Gallagher). I'm at full stars in both MoC and PF so not desperate for new units but my clears aren't fully comfortable yet, especially on the Acheron side, so I'm happy to keep investing in these two teams for now. Got enough pulls saved for a guarantee right now. Fu Xuan: I already have Aventurine for FUA so would be getting her for Acheron's side, but I don't have trend and also already have Gepard in case I do pull it. I know it's on the Jade LC banner but not planning on getting Jade so don't want to pull on that. E4 Gallagher is doing the job for now and it's very possible from being a healer in lore that Jiaoqiu might be a nihility healer which would be perfect for Acheron. I feel like it makes sense to just wait until a more debuff synergistic healer comes out and in the meantime use Gallagher or trend Gepard if I pull trend at some point. Ruan Mei: I get that she's incredibly versatile, but she doesn't fit either of my teams right now. Robin outperforms her in FUA and for Acheron I'd rather skip some patches to save for the Sparkle re-run and try to get E2 Acheron instead. I could definitely run dual harmony in PF with Herta/Himeko but I'm getting full star anyway so idk if I need that. She'd enable future archetypes if I wanted to do break or something, but by the team I'm building more teams who knows what other harmony options will have come out. Pull plan: I feel like the most logical plan is to wait to see what Jiaoqiu does, get him if BiS for Acheron and if not skip for Sparkle, then get E2 Acheron. If lucky, maybe get all of it. If another FUA DPS comes out to replace Ratio I'd be interested in getting them too. I think that already basically exhausts my pulls even if I skip 2.3 so just not sure I can afford FX or RM, but again I feel like a crazy person skipping both of these units. Would very much appreciate people's thoughts.
As a 2 month player with Acheron and IPC team, I needed FuXuan to beat MoC, Gallagher just couldn't do it for me, and her 12% crit rate is so helpful. RuanMei while good, I don't need her since I have to skip break effect comps in favor of Acheron support next patch.
I’m literally in the same situation. I got Gall S5 E5 & still got Fu S1. All of the sudden I’m clearing like no other running Acheron, Pela, & Guinafen
ruan mei isn't even specifically tied to break comps, Infact I have no idea where this notion started that if you dont like break comps then she's an easy skip. Whoever made that up has no clue what they're talking about. Gallagher won't be the reason you're struggling to beat moc 12 and I know for a fact that's not the case because I did exactly that this morning with a level 60 gallagher with level 6 traces

And there’s people who run 0 cycle sustainless comps, everyone’s account is different, in MY case Galla is simply not enough, with FuXuan I had no problems, not hard to understand.
back when Fu Xuan came out I skipped cause I simply do not like her kit or her as a characrer in the lore. This was my best choice since I had gepard and luocha at the time. As soon as i got huohuo it was over. Having adventurine, luocha and huohuo simply cover every angle for me even tho I really just bench luocha unless I need a sp positive comp. I think in the aventurine and huohuo or gonna be more timeless than fu xuan simply cause aventurine has a nice shield and FUA is a big thing and for huohuo she shines best in DOT comps and dual dps which are some comps we are having a lot of right now ( she also is amazing in hyper carry DHIL with sparkle and tingyun)
For me personally I pulled fu xuan to build my quamtum team. She works well with my Acheron and Jingliu. I already had my sustains with huohuo and e6 gallagher. Unfortunately I don't have DoT 5 star characters so my huohuo in mainly used with jingliu. Ruan mei would work well with all of them, but she is aimed toward break effect and I plan to skip break effect characters so I plan to skip ruan mei. I feel that to be mistake since for example Jingliu's best team mate is ruan mei even if she isn't break effect character. Hoyo made first limited 5 star harmony too strong. I skipped her first time since I wanted Sparkle for sure. Jiaoqiu is the next character I'm going to pull. Next one would be DoT character who isn't yet released who doesn't synergize with Kafka. Best DoT character should be physical, wind or fire.
FX is arguably one of the best sustains in the game if built correctly. She provides so much utility from increasing max HP, preventing crowd control, mitigating damage taken and redirecting a huge portion taken by other Allies to herself also self healing if her HP drops below half. There are only four preservation units in the game at present two of which aren't really that good so I only count two so I'd advice ppl to pick up a preservation unit to stay alive in endgame content. RM is definitely one of the best harmony units in the game due to the speed buffs, break effect, break efficiency and dmg bonus she provides. So in terms of buffing shes top tier. It all really comes down to ur needs at the end of the day. If ur surviving just fine or u got adventurine Ruan Mei if not get Fu xuan as well as the herta store lightcone cause the utilities on that lightcone make it very good for Simulated universe.
Should i get fu xuan or ruan mei if i have aventurine already? I have jl kafka bs acheron and i feel like both would benefit my acc i have a guranteed now but idk who to pick ahhh
Ruan Mei's lc is one of the best investments in my opinion! the 60% BE , 10 energy to all allies on the start of the battle , the increased damage boost lasting for 3 turns and more. You can also use it on your Harmony TB. For Firefly from what we know about her lc it is obviously the BiS for her but it doesn't sound amazing for investment. You can use the one from Herta's Store and Misha's lc or Arlan's maybe. Of course for both of them are alternatives but if you want to invest to something I'd choose RM except if you don't have any good destruction lc and you're in desperate need for FF then pull hers.
The Herta Destruction LC is only 10% lower in terms of damage from signature. But Ruan Mei's LC is a teamwide buff and a buff for herself also. So I would recommend pulling for Ruan Mei's LC first since we don't know when she might get a rerun next
@@TokitoRen5633 ofc it does it's additional %24 dmg I would highly recommend you to get Ruan Mei LC. Firefly wants Harmony MC and Ruan Mei in his team comp. You give Ruan Mei LC to Harmony MC with new story MC will have E6 and will be much better. %100 Get Ruan Mei LC
From what I heard here's how you should do this. Firefly E0 > Ruan Mei E0 > Firefly E1 > Firefly LC. Her E1 does slightly better due to that 15 percent ignore defense.
As someone who likes using blade and loves break meta I feel like it would be wise for me to try and get Ruan Mei. I also want Jade to help with blade follow up attacks. I just want to make him the best as possible. And I actually play my blade with break build and HP.
I am using Acheron E0 team and FUA team w/ Robin. Everybody tells me to pull for Ruan Mei, but I don't know where I could use her. I don't see the appeal of breaking characters either so. I don't know about building a third team just so I can use Ruan Mei.
Get Ruan mei and then go for firefly. You don’t need the signature since there’s already a F2P version. Xueyi is really good with harmony mc and Ruan mei

New character before Eidolons always good advice but.. E1 Ruan Mei is better than her lightcone, more if you have memories of past S5, with that you can use BE rope and still get ulti each 3 turns. I have Ruan E1S0 with that lightcone S5 and i tested it.
If I have aventurine, should I get fu xuan as a second sustain or save for huohuo? (Dps are Acheron and Boothill atm, also planning on getting ruan mei for boothill)
Your account does not necessarily NEED FX if you have Aventurine. Plus there are 4* sustains that can also get the job done. Ruan Mei for sure. You can never go wrong with her.
I would save for Huo Huo. I cam see hoyoverse shaking up the meta in the near future to require more direct healing instead of shielding. By getting her you will be covered for both instances. Or if they introduce a 5 star Gallagher equivalent healer, which I'm guessing they might soon for break teams, I would pick that unit up.
Im a new player whose only 5 stars are Dr. Ratio and Welt. I have 35 tickets and 16k stellar jades, and plan on going big for Firefly. Would you guys advise me to try and pick up Fu Xuan or try for Firefly and Ran Mei? I know everyone says Ran Mei and Firefly will be great together, but its rough out here with just Natasha. Thoughts?
Welt can actually be a pseudo sustain with a right build and against imaginary-weak enemies. Meanwhile, Ratio's best sustain is Aventurine and unfortunately his banner has already ended last patch. However, that doesn't mean that pulling for Fu Xuan is a wrong choice. Ratio as a Hunt unit means he's squishy and FX can fix this issue effortlessly with her abilities. And FX being a very versatile unit means that you can put her in almost any team thus you can literally use her even in your future teams. Like what this guy in his video mentioned, FX is a future-proof unit because of her kits alone, and hoyo will find it difficult to replace or introduce one that is better than her and would not probably even be possible. Also, you will notice that we literally only have few preservation units because just like what I said, it is difficult to "powercreep" a preservation unit.
Ruan Mei and Fu Xuan will probably not have another banner for a VERY long time. 8+ months. Firefly will have another much sooner. I personally enjoy comfort before damage, so I would go for Fu Xuan first but I would also say Ruan Mei is THE premiere support unit. It's crazy how well she fits into most teams. Firefly will be break focused, and Ruan Mei is a great support for break. Personally, I would go FX, then Ruan Mei, then last Firefly.
Agree, meta wise, it would be wiser to pull Fu Xuan for you, then RM. Firefly is not a good pull since she is a DPS. But looking at her damage, she seems to suffice without RM, but will be significantly weaker. IMHO pull for whoever you like first.
Agreed get Fu and then RM…ppl downplaying fu xuan here are mistaken imo…sure it’s not that hard now, but HoYo is clearly buffing dmg and hp of enemies in MoC, she’s going to invaluable in the future imo
Completely dependent on how/who you like to play. for me fu is unless and that's why I didn't go for her. Iv used Ruan since her first banner I'm going to grab her lightcone this time around
If you need a sustain, I'd Highly Recomennd Fu Xuan, She has carried my account from when I first got her, and she is such a comfy Sustain If you wanna get into Break Teams, and want a Support as Versatile as Ruan Mei (Who works well with every team), & Especially if you already have good Sustains. I Highly Recommend Ruan Mei
I think hoyo will give us a lot of strong harmony characters that are better than rm in a specific team (like robin in follow up), but as an all around character rm will be the best. Maybe i'm wrong

Don't pick any of them cause 1rst u don't want to invest in ur sustain that much and for Rian Mei yes it's good but their is a 4star and 3 star lc that pretty much guarantee u a 3 turn ultimate and her signature is for more dmg but if u still are going for lc then go for Ryan mei
Absolutely incorrect, it’s not a huge mistake. Get a clue about of what you speak before you speak, and don’t misinform people. If your account has no good preservation or abundance units, Fu Xuan is arguably the second strongest in the entire game. Ruan Mei although immensely powerful as a harmony unit, can not work well in teams where everyone is dying, due to a lack of preservation. Both RM and Fu Xuan are absolute beasts in their respective field, one is not superior to the other as they do entirely different things. Picking between them comes down to nuances in your accounts needs. Good luck on the next Fu Xuan rerun man, I understand where your copium is coming from.
There are free sustainers in the game, although not as good as FX, they get the job done. (Hello Lynx, March) On the other hand, RM is a support that fits in many teams, and provides unique and strong buffs. But if you really want the comfort and crit rate that FX provides, no one's stopping you from getting her

I'm from perspective that FX only fits like a glove on the DHIL team and monoquantum; all other 'meta' teams have sidegrades or upgrades in the sustain slot. @@sycamorewest I use fu xuan with DHIL, I use huo huo with dot and sometimes dhil , aventurine ( I pulled him because I just really liked his story , I find fu xuan fine for FUA), on my topaz ratio team with Robin . I just like Fu Xuans kit more . The damage mitigation , the heal on ult , the 12 crit rate to the whole team , I tried aventurine with dhil and I found my dhil getting targeted ( cause destruction has more aggro ) and him just dying or me having to spam aventurine skill and becoming sp negative . I just find her more flexible and I think damage mitigation is harder to control than shields , they could just introduce an enemy that pierces right through shields . As for the crowd control I prefer fu xuans skill that resist it once per cast , a complete block of one debuff and u only gotta use her skill to reset it . I find myself getting cc’d with aventurine . That 50% eff res he gives to the whole team could easily be countered by spamming debuffs ( those new enemies that put you to sleep or giving the enemies more effect hit rate . That 12 crit rate honestly is game changer , my crit ratio is kinda bad on my FUA team , I also have the new planar set that gives 12 crit rate if two members have the same path on the team. If I put a crit body on ratio or topaz then their crit damage falls off hard . Topaz has like 60 crit and ratio has like 74 with the stellar sea lc from the Herta shop. Missing a crit attack feels awful with hunt characters . Also I could always slot in silverwolf fu xuan , sparkle and a hyper carry and that can be a pseudo mono team if the dps isn’t quantum . I have topaz lc and dhil, I think aventurine is awesome on follow up teams but he can sometimes be sp negative when your destruction or harmony character keeps getting targeted . I found more success on swarm disaster with fu xuan . ( certain abundance blessings ofcs) since my DHIL kept getting singled out by the enemies and just dying where fu xuan would share the damage heal herself and blast the self heal to the whole team (blessing ) . I have Aventurine e1 which gives. Shield on ult but it has a cap it can’t go like last the full Hp .
I will assume that you're a new player since you mentioned that you only have Gepard as your sustain, and honestly, I think you can go with 4-star sustains but it will be very challenging to achieve. I would recommend you to get another sustain since you will need 2 anyways for Memory of Chaos.
@@mrpersistent9086 Galla is good with eidolons. Without, it's copium. And he also needs to be in the right team. Another, MOC resets and each reset offers different buffs, meaning if Galla was good now, he might not be in the next MOC. For FX tho, this is irrelevant because she is a versatile unit. But the meta will favor Galla for a long time since the spotlight currently is on BE units. As for your question, no, and I have cleared the current MOC with my FUA team and JL hypercarry team. You have to be extremely luck not to get one shot in MOC and mostly preservation units are the ones that are really good with this.
I appreciate these videos as a newbie who started literally only 2 weeks ago. I was originally gunning for firefly and ruan mei, and hopefully some gallaghers to make a break team but now im not so sure. My five stars are Welt, Bronya and Gepard, and my only other sustain is Nat. i dont have any of the solid non-freebie 4stars. Gepard has served me pretty well as a newbie but i havent tried pushing any endgame content (TB lvl 50 rn). Should i try to grab fu xuan before she leaves, or gun for FF + RM? I got ~29k jades atm
The biggest thing against FX is that... she's just an alternative to all limited 5* sustains. They will 100% add more future sustains, and when the do, it's either going to be a side grade (in which case you can skip FX and get that new unit if you really want RM) or it's like you said, going to be better than the current limited 5 star sustains in order to make you pull them. In saying that, since I don't like any of the limited 5 star sustains designs, I'm hoping and begging for Lingsha to be a sustain of some kind.
I mean they can powercreep anyone they want but right now they seem to be trying to fill in some niches. For now Fu Xuan the only sustain giving 12% crit rate and guaranteed resistance to cc. Her sustain doesn't go away when you action advance a lot like Aventurine shield does and she can be more sp positive while she sustains unlike Huohuo. She enable Monoquantum a really good team comp so far that can break any enemy. Fu Xuan sustain is universal(meaning it works at the same lvl for most teams) but it also mean she don't have many niches to cover. If someone only wants 2 premium sustains and they will use them forever than Fu Xuan should be one of them but if they like pulling for whole teams as in 1 new dps, 2 new supports and 1 new sustain than she will not have much value for them unless they are pulling for older teams.
@@kennethyoung7457but teams are coming out that don't need CR or has team restrictions that won't let you run her. As for the CC thing it's getting useless as time goes on because opponents are hitting you with multiple at the same time nowadays.
I get the point of this video but posting it after the fu banner rerun has already ended isnt really helpful, for people like me who skipped fu and want to go for ruan mei its too late to change our minds

I just got Fu Xuan and when I first started I got Ruan Mei and she has always been in my parties as a harmony except for Acheron teams. Super versatile character and very useful.

It's interesting how different people's experiences with sustains are. Out of all of my sustains (Lynx E6, Luocha, Aventurine, E2 Gallagher) My E1S1 Fu Xuan is the one that is benched. I value SP efficiency and comfort which I found better alternatives for. In most scenarios, I'm good with Luocha, Lynx and Gallagher, and if I actually want to survive a nuke, I go Aventurine. Fu Xuan's benefit is that she provides direct buffs, but my crit ratios are already fine. I've heard Fu Xuan is hard to powercreep because she doesn't have a shield, and if there are any enemies that punish shields, she would be an optimal choice. For that I would just go with my healers. Fu Xuan has a different set of weaknesses rather than not having any. I dread bringing her to fights with frequent cc or frequent nukes. She's also the only sustain who I've felt needs her LC if you want to legitimately take her into harder content. Other than that she's comfortable in the early game. As for why she is E1, that was an accident. Two came in one ten pull but I would trade E1 FX for E1 Aventurine in a heartbeat since I value eidelons that change their gameplay.
As for harmony, Ruan Mei is also one my less used character. I enjoy break meta, but it's funny that Boothill doesn't need her very much. I originally pulled her for my Himeko and Xueyi, but I've enjoyed the synergy between E6 Xueyi and Himeko without Ruan Mei. At most she's used with my DHIL for some reason. But my typical DHIL team is Aventurine/Luocha Misha and Sparkle because I find it a lot more fun.

@hayemdr3474 Whenever an ally uses a skill point, misha gains one of his stacks and some energy. I consistently consume about three sp with dan heng so it allows Misha to stack up incredibly fast. Misha with full stacks has a crazy amount of toughness break, and even if he hasn't broken anything, he's able to freeze. I had the most fun using him in remembrance runs in Gold and Gears. My Misha is entirely built for freeze and freeze only. I've got him at E2 so he provides some nice def reduction for three turns. Hoping to pull a bunch more on ff banner, his e6 allows him to generate sp.
Yoooo, I'm in a similar spot- I haven't used my E1 Fu in a while because my crit ratios are fine and I also prefer having more SP. No, my SP preference isn't a skill issue, I just like being able to use my Harmony skills more often to get more ults. Luocha, Aventurine, Gepard, and even Gallagher let me do that. It's dope!
@Shayera01 So true! I'm sure some people think that sp efficiency is only important when using SP intensive units such as Bronya or DHIL, but it's important for all units, as most want to use their skills as much as possible unless the effects last multiple turns. My sustain using less SP means more for my harmony units and damage dealers just as you said. Too often I've had to decide whether I wanted to try to squeeze out more damage or if I wanted to refresh Fu Xuan's field just before it fades. Once her field is down there's not much she's contributing.
@@Shayera01yep same here as well, i run the Boothill hyper break team with RM and HMC but i use Gallagher with that one 3 star lc. He generates tons of sp so i can spam skill on HMC most of the time.

It's FU XUAN, for me. I believe for F2P players, all that matters is comfort. Like what this guy mentioned, FX is very efficient; (1) future-proof, (2) fits in all teams, and most of all, (3) F2P-friendly. I also agree that there is no way hoyo can just easily introduce a new preservation unit that can outperform FX on what she can do in the game.
I have E1S0 FX with 8k HP, 2k Def, and 70% Effect Res outside the battlefield, and I even only have S5 ToM for her, basically a lc that is obtainable and upgradable for free in Herta shop. I achieved these stats as F2P and FX has been carrying my account through the most difficult contents in the game since I got her.
Ruan Mei on the other hand is quite the opposite. A bit difficult to build since personally, ideallly I would like to have at least 250+ BE, 160 Spd, and at least more than 50% Effect Res for her. You would also need a little bit defensive stats because you really don't want her to die in battle. In terms of LCs, the best F2P choice for her is obviously MoTP, and personally I think this is the best overall LC to have if compared to her S1. Her signature LC can only achieve 3-turn ult if it's S3 or higher. Meanwhile Meshing Cogs, a 3-star LC btw, can achieve a 3-turn ult at S5 but you will be sacrificing a lot of base stats for her. Additionally, unlike FX which feels so complete even without eidolons, Ruan Mei on the other hand kind of makes you want to pull for her copies. Her E1 offers def ignore, E2 increases her allies' attck, E4 which gives her 100% BE (literally if you get this eidolon you won't even need to bother for having strictly good relics anymore), and her E6 extends her ult' duration by 1 turn and increases her personal dmg by a crazy amount. For those who are unaware, the reason why players prefer to have a 3-turn build is to almost have a permanent uptime buff, but since her ult only lasts for 2 turn without E6, it is unachievable. This is the reason why players kinda wanna whale for her, obviously. Signature LC needs to be S3 or higher in able to compete with other LCs, and without her eidolons it feels like she's incomplete. On the other hand, in terms of future value, I believe hoyo will release a better version of HMC which specializes on BE and super break. A proof for this is very obvious because of the meta. Almost all of units being introduced in the game ever since Boothill got released focuses on BEs. Thus it is safe to assume that hoyo will introduce a better 5-star unit whos specialty is to buff BE units and might also be the start of Super Break meta.
Overall, our divination gremlin, Fu Xuan, wins this comparison.

I have HP body, Spd boots, HP sphere, and Def rope. I sacrificed an ERR rope just to achieve more than 2k Def for her and also because I don't have a good ERR rope that has good substats to give her. ERR rope is just so difficult to farm and if I ever got one it has shtty substats and ridiculous rolls. But if I ever get a good piece, my def would probably go down a bit but I think it would just still be fine, hopefully.
And I'm a new player btw(just saying). I just started playing late Acheron patch. And I also don't have Ruan Mei yet.
Fu Xuan for early game, but endgame RM is hidden sustain with good build and when your DPS have enought damage.

I skipped Aventurine, robin, topaz, and bootyhill for FuXuan. I'll be skipping Firefly for Ruan Mei. As someone who started playing in 2.0 and didnty have either of these characters before, they are without a doubt going to improve my Acheron + Jing Liu based account.

I was near a 50/50, and debating holding off to get FF and Ruan Mei, and I didn't have either of them or Fu Xuan, but the points made in this video made me do 11 pulls and I ended up getting Fu Xuan. I had 0 5 star sustains though, and had been mostly relying on Gallagher to get through things and the point you made about sustain always being useful and the damage Ruan Mei being replaceable down the line convinced me. Plus the fact that I don't really like Ruan Mei as a charcter, or her animations in game, I am content just focusing on getting FF next and see if I get lucky enough to snag Ruan Mei after that before the banner is up. I'm not interested in Jade so I can spend it all and then build up again after.
I probably won't regret this. FOMO is the main reason I wanted Ruan Mei anyway.
My 5 stars are adventurine Acheron huhuo Kafka argenti and Dhil (plus free fr ratio) I have all standard banners exept Bailu is it possible to make 2 viable teams with this lot plus I can get Ruan mei with pulls
The one thing about Fu Xuan is she is a Preservation unit without shields but with Damage Mitigation as in your units take less damage when her field is up. I feel like it is very hard to power creep Damage Mitigation as a mechanic so Fu Xuan won't get power creeped very soon unless we get cracked Sustain unit who is able to provide buffs that rival Harmony units. So I do think as a sustain Fu Xuan would be very reliable.
Adding onto this, this is probably a minor factor for some people but Fu Xuan actually works really well with other sustain units (if you're trying to run multiple sustains, for example in high Swarm Disaster/Gold and Gears runs). Most sustains are limited to either healing (which has a cap) or shields (which don't stack with each other) but Fu Xuan's damage mitigation is so far unique to her and probably will be for a long time. Plus, unlike a healer, Fu Xuan helps the team resist being oneshot.
I got fu xuan but i wish i saved my jades to get rm and firefly. Gallaghers going to be on rm banner and hes amazing as a 4 star sustain. Got 150 passes so hopefully i win 5050s twice LOL
You have no idea. I was so tempted to go for Fu Xuan before Firefly was revealed. I'm at 70 pity right now and it was just so tempting to roll. Now that we know Ruan Mei is there too I might as well save up for Acheron, Aventurine, and Kafka. Those 3 are my biggest priority after the upcoming banner.
Saved a decent amount so I have potential to get both Firefly and Ruan Mei. Really hoping we all get what we want.

Im in a rough spot I really dont care about Ruan Mei or break but as more and more characters get added I dont want to miss out on a character I would really like because I didnt have Ruan Mei so I might just cave.
If you have enough sustain I would recommend going for RM she’s great for multiple teams.
There’s also a lot of characters that will have break in their kit now because of super break.
Fu Xuan raises the floor of the party while Ruan Mei raises your ceiling. After a certain level of investment, trading defense for offense will clear faster but these are very optimized scenarios the average player wouldn't reach making well rounded characters like FX still valuable for the playerbase at large.
Highly suggest for ruan Mei. Preservation is important true but for how much of a staple most of the supports are in the long run it’s better to get Ruan Mei, well unless you already have her go ahead and pull for fu Xuan
this is the second video i've seen from you where i need to point out asta as an alternative to ruan mei for anyone who's unaware she's a great f2p alternative for some non break teams and plays very well in both moc and pure fiction she can work in a team with firefly since she can give firefly a fire dmg bonus aside from that she excels as a ruan mei alternative in dot (i know bc that's where i use her) and fua (i don't have robin either bc i've been waiting for ruan mei and firefly) and tbh if you can manage skill points well i'd say asta is great in every team with atk scaling dps except the very skill point hungry ones like dhil and qq

I don’t get all the hype for limited 5 star sustains. I clear moc 12 just fine with Gallagher and gepard. I just can’t get behind fu xuan being better investment than Ruan Mei. Just because they might power creep Mei with a better harmony unit doesn’t mean she will become useless.

I NEED HELP if I’m a new player that started when Acheron released got her and aventurine in under 60 rolls should I summon for fu xuan? And if I did would I have enough to get ff and rm with her lc (haven’t cleared a lot of the content again still haven’t gotten far in moc stim universe isn’t done and a lot more i currently have 110 rolls

Hoyo is pushing superbreak meta so hard at the moment. Look at the banner 4*. If you pull on RM banner, you get full setup for superbreak.

If you really want an opinion, I would say skip both lightcones.
I got Fu Xuan & her light cone. I let ambient deer blast my team and fu Xuan didn’t even die. Her LC is cracked, get it you’ll need it for swarm if you don’t have insane health rolls on your pieces
Skip both LCs. You can go for E1 Ruan Mei instead. S5 MoTP or Cogs is enough for Ruan Mei lc. You will get stuck with 4-turn ult if you only have her S1. You can only guarantee a 3-turn ult like the other 2 with her sig lc if it's S4 (no hit needed needed from the enemies for extra 10 energy).
E1 RM better than her lightcone.
Or try get Firefly.
I'd say skip both cones and save your pulls just for characters. That said, you can't go wrong with Ruan Mei's E1 or S1.
Her E1 gives defense ignore which is good on its own, but gets even better if you have other sources of defense ignore (Pela, 4pc quantum set, Ratio's light cone, etc).
Her S1 gives just enough energy to fill the ult for certain units, like Jingliu, without needing Huohuo/Tingyun or an energy rope. The SP gain from ult is nice if you run teams who can benefit from having extra and has an easy condition for Ruan Mei and Harmony Trailblazer, who are popping off now more than ever. It's an especially nice pickup if you don't have an S5 Memories of the Past.

About my account: I started in 2.1 and have pulled Acheron, Aventurine, Robin and Topaz so far, all at E0. I get the monthly pass but nothing else. Atm I'm running FUA (my favourite team) on one side, swapping Ratio/Topaz for Herta/Himeko between MoC and PF, and Acheron on the other side (Acheron, Pela, Guinaifen, Gallagher). I'm at full stars in both MoC and PF so not desperate for new units but my clears aren't fully comfortable yet, especially on the Acheron side, so I'm happy to keep investing in these two teams for now. Got enough pulls saved for a guarantee right now.
Fu Xuan: I already have Aventurine for FUA so would be getting her for Acheron's side, but I don't have trend and also already have Gepard in case I do pull it. I know it's on the Jade LC banner but not planning on getting Jade so don't want to pull on that. E4 Gallagher is doing the job for now and it's very possible from being a healer in lore that Jiaoqiu might be a nihility healer which would be perfect for Acheron. I feel like it makes sense to just wait until a more debuff synergistic healer comes out and in the meantime use Gallagher or trend Gepard if I pull trend at some point.
Ruan Mei: I get that she's incredibly versatile, but she doesn't fit either of my teams right now. Robin outperforms her in FUA and for Acheron I'd rather skip some patches to save for the Sparkle re-run and try to get E2 Acheron instead. I could definitely run dual harmony in PF with Herta/Himeko but I'm getting full star anyway so idk if I need that. She'd enable future archetypes if I wanted to do break or something, but by the team I'm building more teams who knows what other harmony options will have come out.
Pull plan: I feel like the most logical plan is to wait to see what Jiaoqiu does, get him if BiS for Acheron and if not skip for Sparkle, then get E2 Acheron. If lucky, maybe get all of it. If another FUA DPS comes out to replace Ratio I'd be interested in getting them too. I think that already basically exhausts my pulls even if I skip 2.3 so just not sure I can afford FX or RM, but again I feel like a crazy person skipping both of these units.

As a 2 month player with Acheron and IPC team, I needed FuXuan to beat MoC, Gallagher just couldn't do it for me, and her 12% crit rate is so helpful. RuanMei while good, I don't need her since I have to skip break effect comps in favor of Acheron support next patch.
Get Ruan Mei and skip everything until new 5 Star Nihility I would say

ruan mei isn't even specifically tied to break comps, Infact I have no idea where this notion started that if you dont like break comps then she's an easy skip. Whoever made that up has no clue what they're talking about. Gallagher won't be the reason you're struggling to beat moc 12 and I know for a fact that's not the case because I did exactly that this morning with a level 60 gallagher with level 6 traces

back when Fu Xuan came out I skipped cause I simply do not like her kit or her as a characrer in the lore. This was my best choice since I had gepard and luocha at the time. As soon as i got huohuo it was over. Having adventurine, luocha and huohuo simply cover every angle for me even tho I really just bench luocha unless I need a sp positive comp. I think in the aventurine and huohuo or gonna be more timeless than fu xuan simply cause aventurine has a nice shield and FUA is a big thing and for huohuo she shines best in DOT comps and dual dps which are some comps we are having a lot of right now ( she also is amazing in hyper carry DHIL with sparkle and tingyun)
For me personally I pulled fu xuan to build my quamtum team. She works well with my Acheron and Jingliu. I already had my sustains with huohuo and e6 gallagher. Unfortunately I don't have DoT 5 star characters so my huohuo in mainly used with jingliu. Ruan mei would work well with all of them, but she is aimed toward break effect and I plan to skip break effect characters so I plan to skip ruan mei. I feel that to be mistake since for example Jingliu's best team mate is ruan mei even if she isn't break effect character. Hoyo made first limited 5 star harmony too strong. I skipped her first time since I wanted Sparkle for sure. Jiaoqiu is the next character I'm going to pull. Next one would be DoT character who isn't yet released who doesn't synergize with Kafka. Best DoT character should be physical, wind or fire.
FX is arguably one of the best sustains in the game if built correctly. She provides so much utility from increasing max HP, preventing crowd control, mitigating damage taken and redirecting a huge portion taken by other Allies to herself also self healing if her HP drops below half. There are only four preservation units in the game at present two of which aren't really that good so I only count two so I'd advice ppl to pick up a preservation unit to stay alive in endgame content.
RM is definitely one of the best harmony units in the game due to the speed buffs, break effect, break efficiency and dmg bonus she provides. So in terms of buffing shes top tier. It all really comes down to ur needs at the end of the day. If ur surviving just fine or u got adventurine Ruan Mei if not get Fu xuan as well as the herta store lightcone cause the utilities on that lightcone make it very good for Simulated universe.

HMC only competes with Ruan Mei in Break teams. In a Dr. Ratio team, for example, Ruan Mei wins definitively.

Ruan Mei's lc is one of the best investments in my opinion! the 60% BE , 10 energy to all allies on the start of the battle , the increased damage boost lasting for 3 turns and more. You can also use it on your Harmony TB. For Firefly from what we know about her lc it is obviously the BiS for her but it doesn't sound amazing for investment. You can use the one from Herta's Store and Misha's lc or Arlan's maybe. Of course for both of them are alternatives but if you want to invest to something I'd choose RM except if you don't have any good destruction lc and you're in desperate need for FF then pull hers.
The Herta Destruction LC is only 10% lower in terms of damage from signature. But Ruan Mei's LC is a teamwide buff and a buff for herself also. So I would recommend pulling for Ruan Mei's LC first since we don't know when she might get a rerun next

I would highly recommend you to get Ruan Mei LC. Firefly wants Harmony MC and Ruan Mei in his team comp. You give Ruan Mei LC to Harmony MC with new story MC will have E6 and will be much better. %100 Get Ruan Mei LC
From what I heard here's how you should do this. Firefly E0 > Ruan Mei E0 > Firefly E1 > Firefly LC. Her E1 does slightly better due to that 15 percent ignore defense.
As someone who likes using blade and loves break meta I feel like it would be wise for me to try and get Ruan Mei. I also want Jade to help with blade follow up attacks. I just want to make him the best as possible. And I actually play my blade with break build and HP.
I am using Acheron E0 team and FUA team w/ Robin. Everybody tells me to pull for Ruan Mei, but I don't know where I could use her. I don't see the appeal of breaking characters either so. I don't know about building a third team just so I can use Ruan Mei.

Get Ruan mei and then go for firefly. You don’t need the signature since there’s already a F2P version. Xueyi is really good with harmony mc and Ruan mei
I have E6 Xueyi & Ruan Mei - they’re like pb & j. Get her S1 bc she might not come back for a WHILE
S5 MoTP or Cogs is enough for Ruan Mei lc. You will get stuck with 4-turn ult if you only have her S1. You can only guarantee a 3-turn ult like the other 2 with her sig lc if it's S4 (no hit needed needed from the enemies for extra 10 energy).
New character before Eidolons always good advice but..
E1 Ruan Mei is better than her lightcone, more if you have memories of past S5, with that you can use BE rope and still get ulti each 3 turns.
I have Ruan E1S0 with that lightcone S5 and i tested it.
Firefly might not be at Acheron level but she will at least be top 3 dps in the game wich I think its more valuable than Ruan Mei S1

I would save for Huo Huo. I cam see hoyoverse shaking up the meta in the near future to require more direct healing instead of shielding. By getting her you will be covered for both instances. Or if they introduce a 5 star Gallagher equivalent healer, which I'm guessing they might soon for break teams, I would pick that unit up.

Im a new player whose only 5 stars are Dr. Ratio and Welt. I have 35 tickets and 16k stellar jades, and plan on going big for Firefly. Would you guys advise me to try and pick up Fu Xuan or try for Firefly and Ran Mei? I know everyone says Ran Mei and Firefly will be great together, but its rough out here with just Natasha. Thoughts?

Welt can actually be a pseudo sustain with a right build and against imaginary-weak enemies. Meanwhile, Ratio's best sustain is Aventurine and unfortunately his banner has already ended last patch. However, that doesn't mean that pulling for Fu Xuan is a wrong choice. Ratio as a Hunt unit means he's squishy and FX can fix this issue effortlessly with her abilities. And FX being a very versatile unit means that you can put her in almost any team thus you can literally use her even in your future teams. Like what this guy in his video mentioned, FX is a future-proof unit because of her kits alone, and hoyo will find it difficult to replace or introduce one that is better than her and would not probably even be possible. Also, you will notice that we literally only have few preservation units because just like what I said, it is difficult to "powercreep" a preservation unit.
Ruan Mei and Fu Xuan will probably not have another banner for a VERY long time. 8+ months. Firefly will have another much sooner. I personally enjoy comfort before damage, so I would go for Fu Xuan first but I would also say Ruan Mei is THE premiere support unit. It's crazy how well she fits into most teams. Firefly will be break focused, and Ruan Mei is a great support for break.
Personally, I would go FX, then Ruan Mei, then last Firefly.
Agree, meta wise, it would be wiser to pull Fu Xuan for you, then RM. Firefly is not a good pull since she is a DPS. But looking at her damage, she seems to suffice without RM, but will be significantly weaker. IMHO pull for whoever you like first.
Agreed get Fu and then RM…ppl downplaying fu xuan here are mistaken imo…sure it’s not that hard now, but HoYo is clearly buffing dmg and hp of enemies in MoC, she’s going to invaluable in the future imo

I think hoyo will give us a lot of strong harmony characters that are better than rm in a specific team (like robin in follow up), but as an all around character rm will be the best. Maybe i'm wrong

Absolutely incorrect, it’s not a huge mistake. Get a clue about of what you speak before you speak, and don’t misinform people.
If your account has no good preservation or abundance units, Fu Xuan is arguably the second strongest in the entire game. Ruan Mei although immensely powerful as a harmony unit, can not work well in teams where everyone is dying, due to a lack of preservation.
Both RM and Fu Xuan are absolute beasts in their respective field, one is not superior to the other as they do entirely different things. Picking between them comes down to nuances in your accounts needs.

There are free sustainers in the game, although not as good as FX, they get the job done. (Hello Lynx, March)

I'm from perspective that FX only fits like a glove on the DHIL team and monoquantum; all other 'meta' teams have sidegrades or upgrades in the sustain slot. @@sycamorewest I use fu xuan with DHIL, I use huo huo with dot and sometimes dhil , aventurine ( I pulled him because I just really liked his story , I find fu xuan fine for FUA), on my topaz ratio team with Robin . I just like Fu Xuans kit more . The damage mitigation , the heal on ult , the 12 crit rate to the whole team , I tried aventurine with dhil and I found my dhil getting targeted ( cause destruction has more aggro ) and him just dying or me having to spam aventurine skill and becoming sp negative . I just find her more flexible and I think damage mitigation is harder to control than shields , they could just introduce an enemy that pierces right through shields . As for the crowd control I prefer fu xuans skill that resist it once per cast , a complete block of one debuff and u only gotta use her skill to reset it . I find myself getting cc’d with aventurine . That 50% eff res he gives to the whole team could easily be countered by spamming debuffs ( those new enemies that put you to sleep or giving the enemies more effect hit rate . That 12 crit rate honestly is game changer , my crit ratio is kinda bad on my FUA team , I also have the new planar set that gives 12 crit rate if two members have the same path on the team. If I put a crit body on ratio or topaz then their crit damage falls off hard . Topaz has like 60 crit and ratio has like 74 with the stellar sea lc from the Herta shop. Missing a crit attack feels awful with hunt characters . Also I could always slot in silverwolf fu xuan , sparkle and a hyper carry and that can be a pseudo mono team if the dps isn’t quantum . I have topaz lc and dhil, I think aventurine is awesome on follow up teams but he can sometimes be sp negative when your destruction or harmony character keeps getting targeted . I found more success on swarm disaster with fu xuan . ( certain abundance blessings ofcs) since my DHIL kept getting singled out by the enemies and just dying where fu xuan would share the damage heal herself and blast the self heal to the whole team (blessing ) . I have Aventurine e1 which gives. Shield on ult but it has a cap it can’t go like last the full

I will assume that you're a new player since you mentioned that you only have Gepard as your sustain, and honestly, I think you can go with 4-star sustains but it will be very challenging to achieve. I would recommend you to get another sustain since you will need 2 anyways for Memory of Chaos.

@@mrpersistent9086 Galla is good with eidolons. Without, it's copium. And he also needs to be in the right team. Another, MOC resets and each reset offers different buffs, meaning if Galla was good now, he might not be in the next MOC. For FX tho, this is irrelevant because she is a versatile unit. But the meta will favor Galla for a long time since the spotlight currently is on BE units. As for your question, no, and I have cleared the current MOC with my FUA team and JL hypercarry team. You have to be extremely luck not to get one shot in MOC and mostly preservation units are the ones that are really good with this.

I appreciate these videos as a newbie who started literally only 2 weeks ago. I was originally gunning for firefly and ruan mei, and hopefully some gallaghers to make a break team but now im not so sure.
My five stars are Welt, Bronya and Gepard, and my only other sustain is Nat. i dont have any of the solid non-freebie 4stars. Gepard has served me pretty well as a newbie but i havent tried pushing any endgame content (TB lvl 50 rn). Should i try to grab fu xuan before she leaves, or gun for FF + RM? I got ~29k jades atm
Try get Ruan Mei , that banner have good 4 star characters, if you have lucky after go for firefly.
The biggest thing against FX is that... she's just an alternative to all limited 5* sustains. They will 100% add more future sustains, and when the do, it's either going to be a side grade (in which case you can skip FX and get that new unit if you really want RM) or it's like you said, going to be better than the current limited 5 star sustains in order to make you pull them.
In saying that, since I don't like any of the limited 5 star sustains designs, I'm hoping and begging for Lingsha to be a sustain of some kind.
I mean they can powercreep anyone they want but right now they seem to be trying to fill in some niches. For now Fu Xuan the only sustain giving 12% crit rate and guaranteed resistance to cc. Her sustain doesn't go away when you action advance a lot like Aventurine shield does and she can be more sp positive while she sustains unlike Huohuo. She enable Monoquantum a really good team comp so far that can break any enemy.
Fu Xuan sustain is universal(meaning it works at the same lvl for most teams) but it also mean she don't have many niches to cover. If someone only wants 2 premium sustains and they will use them forever than Fu Xuan should be one of them but if they like pulling for whole teams as in 1 new dps, 2 new supports and 1 new sustain than she will not have much value for them unless they are pulling for older teams.
