First off really enjoy the canteen set, exactly what I needed for my kayak ditch kit. Ended up making a carrier like your leather one using paracord. For anyone interested to stop the rattle due to the slight clearance space with the cup, two Velcro cord ties/wraps works great to stop the rattle.
I love that so much Pathfinder gear is a perfect blend of old school ideas and gear mated with modern materials and advancements. A lot of outdoor gear tends to be gimmicky or overly "hipster" but Pathfinder stuff always seems simple yet creative, rugged but economical.
I have the old Swiss model canteen that has a major drawback- the container has a taste you can't get rid of easily, so I'll definitely be looking into this improved one. And yes, I have used it for whiskey.
Awesome stuff! This is Dave exercising the buying power of the business he has worked so hard to build to give us little guys cool innovative stuff that nods to the past at an affordable price. If I see anyone in the comments begrudging this man that gives so much to the community a living I'll be all over them like white on rice.
Very nice Dave! At that price point, I'll be ordering a couple of them. Only wish they were 24oz. instead of 18oz. , still very cool and very nice. Thanks for your continued efforts to bring us awesome products. God bless you and the family and all at SRO.
You know what would be cool and totally frivolous for a bushcraft product? A mini still for if you came across an abundance of fruit/grain/other vegetation you wanted to process a bit of. You could probably find other uses for it too. I think they have some that can switch between essential oil and alcohol processing...
I was watching that and thinking how cool it looked and when you mentioned price I figured $45 or $50 To do it at $35 is a really really good price. Very nice.. 👍
I just ordered the Swedish mess kit from you because I love the design and the fact that you make it in stainless steel for a good price. But now I have to have this too. I have been checking out the surplus version of it but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. I would like to see a reproduction of the East Germany solid fuel stove that was the size of a pack of cigarettes.
Always smashing it on these products! I really appreciate, as I'm sure many other people do, the fact you bring old, tried, and tested products back to the market, knowing the quality is 100%, with no need of taking the chance on an old item that is possibly past it's time for real use.
Love this canteen. Can’t wait to order. Would be a great canteen for travel to FL I might be doing soon. But no time to order and get it in before I leave. Maybe some of the responders to FL and NC etc could use something like this. If they don’t have a Grayl filter, they could boil water with this canteen set up.
Love it. I'm going to use it for a cargo pocket survival kit (the rest of the kit goes on the other pocket. It would be even better if there was a curved flask-like version of this with a matching nesting cup.
i have the m34 and did cooking tests over a open fire with no problems.i did drill a small hole on the side edges for a wire bale.that fits in the bottom.
Just a suggestion. You could always do a video of making reflective insulation for the grayl to keep your filter from freezing. Or for any water filter for that matter. I made one for my grayl one sleeve going over the bottom and and that slips down over the top to completely insulate from freezing.
Another legendary piece of kit made affordable for the common man. 👌 I wish these were available along with the Swedish mess kit before I paid out the ass for surplus ones. After seeing your “bra” strap I’m going to have to make a leather version for my original Swiss canteen. Great job Dave 👍 I’m sure a lot of guys will appreciate this along with the Swedish kits.
I was hoping to see it in use with a stove or two and see if it's tippy with the narrow design. And yes, the cap needs a chain or place to attach a cord.
You should make a mini canteen/flask set. One for like 8 fl ounces that can fit in one's pant pocket or a Hill People Gear Chest Kit Bag. That way one can have a water container in a level 1 pocket survival system.
Dave. I love this new addition. I would like to say, you missed a great opportunity for sales of a retro flask by not providing a corked cap. Not only would it fulfill that nostalgic feel, but when I lose the darn cap, you’ve got sales from cap only purchases. This will make s prefect gift for that weekend warrior and double for the football fan! Multiple uses. The Canterbury way. 1 is none…. Skillet
Looks like a quality product. I would like to see one in larger size. I drink lots of water. It gets pretty hot in Texas. Over 100 degrees. I like to carry at least a quart of water with me. Sometimes 2 quarts.
I bought an older stainless steel flask that holds 20 oz a few years ago that use to hold olive oil for cooking in the field personally. There are a myriad of flasks for alcohol out there, but, yours is a leak proof way to bring either a lubricant or a cooking oil to the field equivalent to a Scoutmaster having enough to supply an entire troop.
I really like the Canteen. Was looking for a leather Cover or holder for it. Found a leather holder that is offered by Badger Claw and it is really nice except that it does not fit a 2-inch belt and it is very tight on the 1.75 belt.
Nice project! It would be good to add a small chain to keep the cap with it all the time and not loosing it!
I agree with a couple other comments in regards to a small chain attached to cap. Otherwise looks great. Probably order Wednesday.
Hello outdoor-enthusiasts! I wish you all good health and a nice day! Greetings from Germany ❤

If this was titanium I would buy it on release. Looks sleek!

Great job Dave Canterbury on reproducing this Pathfinder swiss canteen set. Always top quality products.👍☘️😎
Ordered as soon as it was available and have used it a lot. I love it. Fits in my cargo pants and keeps me hydrated. Thanks Dave!
You make great products at a more than reasonable price....Thank You
Great job, great Price🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
An excellent container for our home made port when bird watching. Cheers DC.!
I love the innovative new products. Always innovating more durable and versatile gear.
Larger bat wing handles a great upgrade. Wish you had made the opening of the flask larger also.
I agree on both points. It will be tricky to pour water into this. I'm thinking I'm going to have to carry a small funnel with it.
I was watching that and thinking how cool it looked and when you mentioned price I figured $45 or $50
To do it at $35 is a really really good price.
Very nice.. 👍
It'll be about $50 when tax and shipping is added

That's really COOL 😎 I'm impressed, Good Job 👍 ...Alan in 🇨🇱
Excellent product and starting price. Great job SRO!
Nice bit of kit, and it look like a fair price.
It looks very nice and compact. Great price as well.
I have a original in my military collection from the great war.
It looks very similar, good to see them back
Been waiting for this for a long time now if we could get a stainless steel cold handle skillet everything would be perfect
Been waiting for this one! I looked for the aluminum surplus but they were always sold out wherever I looked. I like that this is stainless steel.

Pretty cool. I'd use it to carry some spirits when camping.
Looks cool and well thought out
Nice. Thanks Dave, always a pleasure.
Dave you Rock! Thanking you from Newfoundland, Canada. Super excited to receive my order!
Pretty cool design. I like it.
Great product thank you for keeping the old school gear alive.
I just ordered the M34, 1qt Bushpot, two grills and grill storage bag as a birthday present for myself.
Just received it! Been waiting for it and it did not disapoint!
PFM. Love it. 😊
Thanks I want one or two of them !!!!
Such a great idea.
A winner
Love it.
I'm going to use it for a cargo pocket survival kit (the rest of the kit goes on the other pocket.
It would be even better if there was a curved flask-like version of this with a matching nesting cup.
Fantastic piece of kit 👍
Finally! Been SUPER excited for this one for a long time now Dave! Thanks!!
Nice work. Holding out for the titanium version.
VERY NICE...I WILL BE ORDERING ONE NEXT PAYDAY! THANKS DAVE!!!!
Is it wrong that I'm so excited about this ?
Very cool😎 I've been looking forward to this
Your on top of everything you set your hand to Dave...you know what your about...stay blessed..
Just ordered one of these, they look pretty dang nice! I'll add it to my daypack for sure.
I love that it will go in the haversack or in a day pack and not take up room.
💯 great price, great product
Hell yeah Dave!!! I’ve been trying to find an M32/34 canteen off and on for about a decade. Hopefully these will be a bit more accessible!!
Reinventing what works. Seems like a viable option.
Well done ...so cool !!!
i have the m34 and did cooking tests over a open fire with no problems.i did drill a small hole on the side edges for a wire bale.that fits in the bottom.

Excellent.
That's great Dave! Can't wait to get my hands on one. Thanks! 👍👍
Please tell me you’re working on the Preston mess kit next?
Great idea! This canteen cup is ideal for a survival kit. I currently have the later M84 model in a survival pouch, not for regular use.
I just bought myself your scout canteen i love it
Very Cool Dave ! Keep on rebooting old surplus gear
Looking forwards to ordering mine
Love it
I was hoping to see it in use with a stove or two and see if it's tippy with the narrow design.
And yes, the cap needs a chain or place to attach a cord.
Can't wait to get one in my haversack! Been waiting for this since you first announced it a while back.

Love it can’t wait
Looks awesome and I can't wait. :)

I'd prefer to see a retainer chain between the cap and flask so there's no chance of losing the cap.
excellent set great price to
I like it!
Looks like a quality product. I would like to see one in larger size. I drink lots of water. It gets pretty hot in Texas. Over 100 degrees. I like to carry at least a quart of water with me. Sometimes 2 quarts.
Would titanium be cost prohibitive?
I’m excited for this
Awesome! Always count on you to come out with great stuff. Ill be picking one up for sure!
Thanks so much. Gotta get one.
Can’t wait hope to be lucky enough to get one
Definitely going to be purchasing one for myself!
TAKE MY $$$$$ 😃 Looks fantastic, but I also wonder about that cap…
I hope you have a lot on hand! I can tell as soon as they come out FEDEX is going to be busy
Super excited for this one - been waiting for about a year
Thats awesome!
This is something I want to pick up, small compact canteen is awesome.
I hope they make this canteen in titanium as well. Just ordered mine.
Dave I would like to see your version of my beloved boyscout mess kit.
👍
Smart product
That looks great, I'll look out for somebody stocking it in the UK.
Awesome
Uncle dave always delivers
I really like the Canteen.

Thanks Dave! I got mine!
Really nice piece of equipment! What about recreating the actual german mess kit in stainless steel? Greetings
I wish that Dave would do the Preston Mess kit.
Purchased! Can't wait to get it.
