awesome!! my husband is a plumber so the insight to leaving him room to hook up is something that other builders rarely, if ever think of. So glad you put that part in this great tutorial, this channel will probably be the help we need to redo our house. Thanks Ben!!
I swear your videos make me just want to find the most run down house i can find and renovate it. I will do that before this decade is over too. Your work has given me a new love. Thank You and please never stop
Very smart building too. Can never have enough support for concrete as the wood settles if it sags even a mm the cement could easily crack so well done. Love your flooring idea for the shelves. That grabbed me. Thanks so much
They look great. This just shows that you don't need to buy flatpack to get a good look. Thanks for the video, I'll be putting this into practice one day for sure!
In the house were purchasing it has dark blue (yikes) cabinets on one wall with the dishwasher and sink. So were going to paint those white. On the other wall it has random awkward book shelving all around the stove. This will look pretty awesome over there to fill things out. I dont mind the openness but this will definitely make things easier for my one year old to destroy the kitchen. Like you said, i could add doors... Awesome job
I really love how minimalistic the shelves above the countertops are attached to the walls. I'd like to copy this style for my grandparents house which I'm renovating right now. Does anyone have an idea how it's done? Do you glue them, use dowels, screws, angle jonts to make them sturdy enough for havier staff? Mine would also be on the two corners of the only wall with a window in the kitchen.
I'm so excited about the series coming up! I'm planning on buying a fixer upper and I know this series will teach me a lot because I've already learned so much from your other videos! Keep up the good work!!! Also I've had the idea to use ammo boxes around my house too and they do look really good!
I like the style, but for kitchen I still prefer drawers and closed cabinets, it's more organized and looks great. The open shelf is very easy to catch dust in my view. Don't get me wrong, I still like the frame you made by 2x4s. very nice job.
Hi! I like how it look and how functional it is but I was thinking of adding sliding door made out of corrugated plastic sheets. Do you think it would look good?
Awesome, i like it. it looks in many ways minimalistic. i haven't saw anything like this.congratulation. my question is, can you make a door for your cupboard?
Open cabinet are nice for people who not like to cook, but for those household that always cook might be oily every where. Although open cabinet is not a main stream but it has a unique character.
Love it man, you're so talented! Can you possibly show how to make.. like a sink for the garden, with small storage cabinets (open structure), or something like that?
Is doing it on your own and buying high quality woods + calculating and measuring + planning - cheaper and easier than just buying a kitchen? Or is it for the experience?
its really hard to cleanup concrete out of oil and other stainfull stuff that you would have deal with in kitchen. You would protect it some way or not?
Aesthetically this is a winner, but no toe kick makes these counters a back breaker for extended use. Doubtless, Ben is young and fit enough to not mind... yet.
+Kuvter its very important. eases way is acrylic glued on but you can't use that behind a stove where you will get heat so you can just use toughened glass and paint the back with whatever acrylic paint you want. then use clear silicon but test the silicon first because some can have a reaction with the paint and you will be able to see the silicone though the class.

Awesome! love the minimalist design

love your confidence working on a done flooring like this :)
Very smart building too. Can never have enough support for concrete as the wood settles if it sags even a mm the cement could easily crack so well done. Love your flooring idea for the shelves. That grabbed me. Thanks so much
This is your best video yet. I can hardly wait to see the counter top how to
Looks great. Anxious to see how the countertops were made.
Those ammo boxes are an awesome touch.
I love this project ! I'm pretty sure I would be too lazy to build my own kitchen cabinet, but yours are definitely very unique and beautiful !
I am in LOVEEEEE!!! Marvelous job guys!! Now I want to do my own DIY kitchen!!
I love the simple look of it all. I am in need of storage in my garage/shop, I think I am leaning towards this open look. Nicely done.
They look great. This just shows that you don't need to buy flatpack to get a good look. Thanks for the video, I'll be putting this into practice one day for sure!
Fuck slime and ASMR videos...HomeMadeModern is literally the most satisfying channel out there! Keep doing what you're doing Ben :D
i doubt i will build it, but watching you guys made it is so satisfying! keep up the good work! looking forward to more videos!!!!
The kitchen looks really good! Can't wait for the next video in the series.
Love how it turned out! Thanks for the detailed video
GREAT JOB , I REALLY LIKE YOUR WOODWORKING STYLE , ITS TOO EASY & TOO SIMPLE . THANK YOU .
It came out beautiful!
This is great. I will try and build one, but without the concrete counter top. ceramic tiles should be okay too (?)
That is cool. Really like the use of ammo cans!
although id prefer to have drawers and/or cabinet doors this turned out much better than i was expecting. nice work!
Great project. Looks very nice. Great editing. :)

Cant wait for more!

I really like how it looks like!!! What king of door hinges should i use if i want to add doors??
I'm so excited about the series coming up! I'm planning on buying a fixer upper and I know this series will teach me a lot because I've already learned so much from your other videos! Keep up the good work!!! Also I've had the idea to use ammo boxes around my house too and they do look really good!
Totally awesome. I will be epically failing at this
Love it. Big fan of your work.
Wow! im really loving this design. Wish i could do something like this
Man this is awesome. Great work.
i feel so inspired by your projects! keep on going like this
There's hundreds of videos on how to tighten the hot/cold hoses to the faucet. The faucet itself might have also come with instructions as well.
+Adam R I know like for real, he can build the cabinets but doesn't have the confidence to connect a couple water lines?
I like the style, but for kitchen I still prefer drawers and closed cabinets, it's more organized and looks great. The open shelf is very easy to catch dust in my view. Don't get me wrong, I still like the frame you made by 2x4s. very nice job.

Can you go over the type of hardwood floors you utilized and stain as well? Thanks!
amazing work as always
love your creations. can you put approximations of how much it costs for the parts
and you fit all of this into less then 7 minutes! great job. are you going to make a video about how you planned and prepared for this project?
Looks great! And I bet it was cheaper than what you would have paid for store-bought cabinets too
Awesome, i like it. it looks in many ways minimalistic. i haven't saw anything like this.congratulation. my question is, can you make a door for your cupboard?
I'm not a fan of open shelves, but.. wow. Nicely done indeed!
Great work mate ...
Open cabinet are nice for people who not like to cook, but for those household that always cook might be oily every where. Although open cabinet is not a main stream but it has a unique character.
Do you think ripping the 2x4's in half to make it look more thin and streamlined would still be strong enough?
nice. I wish I have all those awesome tools you got, makes life easier...
awesome!! great video. keep up the good work.
This is a very nice kitchen, and I wanted to know how long did it take to build the kitchen. And how much money did it cost to build this Kitchen.
You need to have Ryobi send you their 18v nailer for trim. I really like the simplicity of this.
How many hours have u done to finish all works?
How many of each size board was used to complete all of the cabinets? The plan doesn't specify
Love it man, you're so talented! Can you possibly show how to make.. like a sink for the garden, with small storage cabinets (open structure), or something like that?
I really like big projects like this
I love the simplicity and minimalism, but I don't like open cabinets. I wish you guys show how you would make those.
Indiana Gatchell you literally just add doors 😂😂
Indiana Gatchell Nice but vidéos a bit toi fast ;)
Love the spruced-up ammo cans
Is doing it on your own and buying high quality woods + calculating and measuring + planning - cheaper and easier than just buying a kitchen? Or is it for the experience?
This is GREAT!
seeing him making these all, looks so easy. maybe because he has completed equipments
Very nice project.
its really hard to cleanup concrete out of oil and other stainfull stuff that you would have deal with in kitchen. You would protect it some way or not?
+Dmitriy Lutsenko you always want to seal concrete like this
Minimal but elegant. A lovely combo. Is it a small kitchen or is that just a small part of the kitchen? Either way it looks fabulous.
Awesome vid!!!
good for studio apartments.. like it
You are an inspiration for me
ADOREI, só que vou colocar granito no lugar da base de concreto!!!
Real nice! I like the open fronts. I may do similar for a hifi cabinet. Something 'Broken Sword' about the commentary, just me probably ;)
If you haven't already can you make a closed cabinet diy vid?
Excelente techinic and tutorial video.
Great tanks.
Where did you learn how to do all of this?
www.homemade-modern.com/ep86-kitchen-cabinets/
Looks amazing, how long did it take you to build this?
Are you sure you don't want to secure the countertops?
For example if you live in an area with earthquicks, I am sure that is not a good idea...
this man is amazing!!
How long did this take?
where are these dimensions on your website?
I was really stressing about where all the saw dust was. 3:16 made it all better though.
amazing idea...thank you
perfect job.i want it.
wouldn't it be better to use marble for the countertop instead of concret?
What is the cost for the entire project?
i like the ammo boxes :D
Do you have a workshop
Cool !
tip: maybe seal the two concrete slabs together? It'll stop water from getting in between.. but I'm sure you knew
Half speed is like hearing someone tell the story of a build, but at the bar while he is shit-faced XD
Awesome !
Beautifuuul!
Aesthetically this is a winner, but no toe kick makes these counters a back breaker for extended use. Doubtless, Ben is young and fit enough to not mind... yet.
I love this
gracias y compartido
Maravilhoso trabalho😃
its awesome
sir, can i get your full video without fast forward?
good work but I do not like the open cabinets
seems hard to clean in every week
How important is a backslash? I don't see one in this design.
A crafty/handy man is a dream husband for a shy introverted woman like me. Too bad I had lost mine. 😅
Ireally like this video👍
This is so manly. In fact, watching this video is the manliest thing I've done all day.
So awesome. I'm not that handy, I think I'll choose a simpler project of yours, and buy the kitchen from IKEA. Hahaha
cool
👍 😃
