Great video Steve! Playing the ghosts and bass drum with no HiHat is one I find challenging and 'unnatural.' Your lesson content is awesome. Love your stuff and that you're still going with it. I can always steal something from you that'll last me a while if I need to. I never noticed how much your left hand opens using trad. I'm a bit of a hand opener myself. The video and sound aren't synced right so it's hard to watch and listen to at the same time.
There is no secret included in this video, just some basics which are important, for sure. I don't like this kind of click fishing....

Maybe you would like to share your views on stuff like that. All the best.👋👍
Nobody teaches hihat opening or shutting dynamics, tricks, accentuations, offbeat stabs, colours, sticking colours etc etc. Its the most underrated piece of the kit.
