I hate you tube. As soon as I find one instrument I've never seen, another pops up and I have to research it. I'll never get any sleep at this rate. Ottavino, huh. Well, beautiful sound, thanks for providing the opportunity for me to hear an instrument I would have never had the possibility of hearing otherwise.
i fell to the same trap mate, went from violin concertos, to guitar, to piano, to harpsichord, to the clavichord, to this. And now it is recommending me organs
This is so beautiful! The sound is perfect and the instrument is wonderfully portable. Damn I'd love to use one of these for recording 😭❤ Your playing is lovely!! 👏
$6000 and you can have your own. These come from renaissance workshop, though you seem experienced enough to handle the $1200 unassembled kit and get extra video content out of this from putting it together. Grab their portative organ as well while you're at it.
the trills on this can heal souls. i wish i would hear baroque classical music on this more. i heard something like this in a cartoon as a kid and fell in love with those sounds
How adorable! Beautiful playing! I owned a seven foot flemish harpsichord and a clavichord which I donated to a music college. Wonderful craftsmanship!
Exactly what I have been trying to find .Yes. I didn't know what it was called. Thank you thank you...thank you Great playing too. God bless you for posting your playing... You carried away at the end. What??? I love it even more
What a well-tempered sound; I was definitely not expending it to sound so in-tune, like a clavichord! I would definitely like to have something like for travelling as opposed to wheeling around a grand piano, let alone a weighted keyboard.
Ils ne sont pas très facile à trouver. Et si vous en trouvez, ils sont très cher. Moi même j'en possède un qui est dans ma famille depuis 5 générations. Seulement je ne sais pas jouer. J'espère que cela vous a aidé. Cordialement

Mmmm. The sound is great!!! Immmm-pressive. My Friend, this deserves its own fancy little cabriole-legged table to stabilize it upon. No doubt you're probably inclined and ingenious enough to build it its own little suitcase-like structure where the legs fold up within it all to maintain its portability. It'd be absolutely priceless.
Man I'm searching someone to experiment on this ancient instruments and build something modern acoustic with the same approach. The more I play samples and synths the more I wan acoustic keyboard.
jean luc Ho This instrument is pitched at A=415 HZ (in the 4 ft Octave) so it's Modern Baroque Pitch. You can also use A=440 HZ Modern Concert Pitch if you tune the strings a bit higher.
Hmmm, how to make one of these little instruments... well, aircraft birch for soundboard can be found among Makers' supplies, other wood as well. Jacks and other working parts you might want to 3D print. Waiting for the Raphi Giangiulio of Ottavino-making to step up...
Where can I find one of these? I found a website called “renaissance workshop company” that seems to make kits for these but they have no way to contact them. Anyone?
I wanted to build something like this so bad as a kid. I was obsessed with the idea of having a portable acoustic keyboard instrument. Lovely!
do it and connect a talkbox to it!
I had to settle for a melodica, but I've got my sights on one of these in the near future
agree, perhaps you could love this song to play someday: ua-cam.com/video/DzxlMfUzqIM/v-deo.html
I built one just like this from a kit. It came from Toledo, Spain (1.400 EUR).
Was yours a Renaissance Workshop one? I've been looking at one of the kits recently. Are they decent?
Drops an absolute melody.
Refuses to elaborate.
Leaves.

Thank you for your prescious contribution. Extra-fine music which reminds us an Age to discover.
Beautiful playing! Oh, and beautiful ottavino as well!
Amazingly good sound in relation to this instrument's small size. Thanks for this most charming performance and upload.
There needs to be a double like button on here. Such great playing! Good to hear how this stuff should be played...
Какая вещь замечательная!!!
That is a fantastic instrument. I _so_ need one.
we all do!
Well played, wonderful instrument and great music! 👍👏🎹🎶💓 Thank you

Muito legal. Gostei. Não conhecia. Que sonoridade.

Clavichord sucks. Sounds like a honky tonk piano. This is a more real harpsichord
Imagine carrying a cathedral pipe organ XD
Beautifully played!
Dude every time I listen to one of theses it feels like listening to a thick keyboard it’s too nice 😭😭😭💕💕💕
WOW mooi karakter heeft dat instrument !
Machtig mooi gespeeld ook !!
This is all kinds of wonderful
I saw Jean a couple years back in Berkeley.. In all Scarlatti program. He's an outstanding player. I believe he studied with Blandine Velvet.
Bellísimo sonido!
where'd you get that thing?
i would really like to have one like that!
probably here
www.renwks.com/products/spinet%20ott/spinet-ott.htm
They bought it from Joaquin Fuster
Wow. You are a great maestro! Beautiful music. 😊
Very nice. I wish instruments like this were more well-known.
Oh man I'm so jealous!! Would love to own an instrument like this someday :)
Que bonito sonido tan cristalino 👏👏👏
I feel kind of sad that Queen never made a baroque phase. I think this would go really well with Freddie Mercury's voice and tone.
I am impressed at the focus and concentration used to play the instrument.
Comment l’avez-vous acquis ?

I met a woman at the last Texas Toot (toot.org) who had one of these for sale. Damn, I should have bought it then.
Absolutly beautiful
Que toque tan natural 😊
I built about 5 of those for people. Looks like an easy kit. It's not for beginners. Hard to pin and voice
How is that instrument called? I would like to build one for myself. Where can I get plans? Any help?
The first portable "synthesizer"....ahahahah...
Amazing sound ! thanks for the demo and the amazing playing too.
Your instruments are beautiful is sound and appearance--great workmanship.

It sounds great 👍🏻

Amazing! What are you playing???
After hearing this song, my hair spontaneously turned into a powdered wig.
Reminds me of russian sinbad movie 1950s

excellent
Are the strings visible on top just for sympathetic resonance?
I don't understand why there's more room for longer strings behind the higher keys rather than the lower keys
Waht is the composer/song you are playing ?
Some version of "la Monica"; www.bach-cantatas.com/CM/Monica.htm
This is an excerpt of "The Queen's Alman" by William Byrd.
danielmoeller. Well, the beginning of it sounds like the Turkish National Anthem 😂
sounds so beautyful...
I love these!
Wow that is so cool!!! I want one now 😍
What piece is this?
...questo sì che è uno strumento portatile!! 😊
That's fantastic! A portable keyboard instrument which doesn't even need to be plugged. What's the piece being played?
Were do I get mine?
Lindo instrumento, o som parece com o do cravo
It's like a pocket-sized harpsichord!
superbe musique
How much do you want for that instrument. I will buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Ottavino sounds INCREDIBLE!! I want this build!!
Beautifull
nice
Excuse me, what is the name of that musical piece?
Where can I find the construction plans for this instrument???
Muito bacana 👍🏻
Amazing!

Idk why, but I hear the theme of une jeune fillette.
Nice and easy maybe less than 10 kilograms, but beautiful classic that I need.
C’est super!
Is it a transposer instrument?
I have enough trouble with trills with the piano holding still!
amazing!
Compared to its small size, it sounds pretty good, almost harpsichord-like.
What is the piece played ?
"The Queen's Alman" by William Byrde
