Since I started watching your videos last year, I've started tipping drivers all the time - especially if they're on a bike, because you really show how much of a grind it is!
Please don't turn us into America... we don't want delivery drivers kicking off when they expect tips and don't get it and end up getting stabbed.
@@kieranhudson4938yes because the tipping culture over here is ridiculous they people expect to have a tip is crazy, plenty of people over here in America have really started to push back on the whole tipping thing and we have realized that sometime the delivery driver will either cancel, hold, or take forever to deliver you order, now sometimes I will still give a tip here and there but only if I can afford it, because you already have to pay for the delivery and service and tax fee
@@kieranhudson4938man, this is Europe, people knows how to properly use brain, don’t worry and tip your delivery person, a couple of euro can make a difference . I once saw a stunning lady delivering food around 9 pm and she had her young daughter with her. Poor child was exhausted but loved to drive around with her mommy, which was busting her ass instead of being another Eastern Europe gold digger.

I find your videos really therapeutic for some reason! Loved this vid, as I was born and raised in London moved away 17 yrs ago now but i do miss it! I know alot of ppl moan that its changed, of course it has! A country/city/town whatever are always evolving.❤
great to seeing your doing well the the deliveries. You have converted me to electric again. Pick up my NIU mqi+ sport next week. had enough of the car, to expensive to run and I only do 4 hrs shift with JE and Uber per day, and doing papa johns 5x a week (4hr shifts). Could only afford the MQI+, I know it small but it's a start for me. I still have my electric bike so like you, electric moped was the next step for me, in my electric road. Only costing just over a £1 to charge per day as I'm only using it once a day till the battery empty and then the car for papa johns deliveries. many thanks again bud.😊

I agree with you about asking to remove the helmet, if ever at work we have a courier coming we always make sure we're ready for them so it's a quick handover. Little things just make people's days easier
Right on, only bikers understand how frustrating and how long it takes to get comfortable especially in the winter with snoods etc underneath
Then just wear a neck gaiter. The guards dont really care if you where a helmet or not their boss does as do clients most clients don't want people walking in wearing a motorbike helmet. If the guard lets you in he gets in shit so why would he@@LondonEats

I can see what you wear in the video. Taking a helmet off is not getting undressed. If its raining it makes sense because when you take it off everything gets wet but if your doing gopher why not wear a neck gaiter instead. plenty of offices dont let in riders wearing helmets@@LondonEats

You might wanna try a pair of handlebar muffs, just for the cold snap. They might not look the best, but they can just be fitted temporarily, and might save you hammering the battery so much with the heated grips. Keep up the good work... Great content!

it was through watching your videos from way back that got me into doing deliveries and i choose to do just eat instead of deliveroo at the time as it was contract work. That orange building behind was the just eat hub i use to work at before being made redundant. It brings back memories 😁 3:48

Just signing up to Gophr, great to not have to worry about split drinks but juggling all the pick ups and drop offs at the same time will take a bit of getting use to and obviously a secure carrier is a must rather that the standard 'pizza box'. Thanks for the content!
Get a multipack of coke cans and offer them out to anyone who you deliver drinks to if they are spilled. Tell them you'll give them one if the drink is spilled and chances are high that they will tip you for good customer service and they will tip you more than a can of coke will cost 😁

Its becoming very hard to work in the City of London. Taxi Drivers avoid it now to many restrictions you can travel through Bank Junction from Princess st into Cornhill only.

I love the Gopher vlogs because the food deliveries I feel are more stressful, more waiting, and having to deal with restaurant staff and customers is more of a hassle. Gopher is very “get up and go” all shift long, so more money lol

Totally with you on people just stepping out and expecting you to stop on a dime. Sometime back, I was riding along Cable Street, which has a brilliant cycle path but has a lot of pedestrian crossings, with my daughter. Someone stepped out on a crossing from behind a car that was stopped in traffic without looking and simply expected the bikes to be able to stop. My choice was to either run into them or have my daughter crash into me from behind. I made a split-second decision and my daughter slammed into the back of me. She was not impressed...
Helmets is the topic where the people will split. In my honest opinion after watching a lot of reviews and test's to helmets - I would never put my head inside a Ruroc helmet. Only Arai and Shoei for me. But all brands have their right to exist and beeing bought.

When you feel good in your early day without breakfast it is still a good way to live. Breakfast as the most important meal (don't know if it's a worldwide idea or just german marketing) is a myth, as long as you don't have a medical condition. If you need breakfast to calm down and have a nice time before starting your workday I understand. But medically speaking not eating breakfast is as good as having a double stacked meal in the middle of your day :)

I like this app. It doesn't involve food. Good start. More what I think of as courier riders back in the eighties. Roaring around London on smokey pieces of crap. I just don't get all the traffic control and signage in London these days. How is a visitor supposed to know what to do. Gibberish. What planet do the people come from that implement this stuff. Certainly isn't Earth.
I understand what you mean by how you have to take your helmet off and on. You have to do it all the time it's part of being a biker. Especially going into shops, petrol stations and secure office blocks.
Never had to take it off going into shops or petrol stations, just these fancy apartment buildings and offices, normally I don't care but when it's cold and I've finally got comfortable the last thing I wanna do is take it off just to collect a parcel 😅
