As an ex-Londoner, love your vids. They're my favourite to chill to before bed. Unsure how challenging this would be, but would be wicked if you could pop up the location in the lower corner when you switch to a new general area. Or even if you're focused in the same general area/town for the whole vid, to flash that up at the beginning
i've been watching these when i decide to take a day off. i get kinda pumped and decide to work. mostly because i really love seeing new parts of my city but the money's nice too.
Hello mate, we love your videos and are hooked, keep going lol. We can’t believe the lack of tips you receive from people in London. You provide a top service and deserve a lot more tips than I’ve seen you receiving. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏍
train driver here, living in the north west. i wanted to do this as a side hustle but it just feels wrong. i love riding cycles and motorbikes so i figured this would be like a hobby but feel like id be taking money off people that need it.
Is there an app that shows you orders that can be joined up, like a pizza to a house 4 miles away, but in between pick up a curry and both delivery addresses are close by?
I work for a pensioner housing provider in New Zealand. We pay our employed electrician NZ$85/hr, and the contracted electrical company $120/hr. As an aside.
Since watching your vids I've started tipping all my Deliveroo drivers man. I was staying away at a hotel recently for training and had Deliveroo every night and I'm sure it was the same rider 5 nights in a row lol... Your videos made me appreciate what you guys do so I don't mind adding a couple quid each time as a tip 👍🏻👍🏻
11:12 Actually, the fact that it is a ghost kitchen and they don't want you filming in there is both scary and worrisome, makes one wonder what is really going on in there, are there rats running around that they don't want people to see.
1st off I Love your videos I’m in the same sort of trade. How do I get the correct rack for my motorcycle to mount the delivery box? Yamaha sr125 Much appreciated
There’s a whole designated area for food pick ups like that idk if we have anything like that in America I think it’s just pick ups directly from the place.
the most genuine dude on youtube, who ain't in it for money just pure content, love to you man, and ur local bless man hope to see u at my door sometime
Have you ever had someone come down to collect and it turns out to be the wrong person? Or you have delivered it and someone claims to have not received it?
Hey, Got an idear for a video, itll be cool to see if you could get some solar panels and run the bike off grid, maybe start with your electric bike and build up the off grid system to power the Niu scooter. Itll save you some $$ over time.
What is it like riding a e bike i ride mountain bikes everywhere however can’t you use a e bike when it’s dead just without any support or Just won’t it move?
I've definitely noticed more people around me tend to order food rather than go to restaurants too. To me this is crazy - you spend more to get the same food but less fresh. It is annoying being in a restaurant though and clearly being behind a bunch of Deliveroo riders in terms of priority. I toy with the idea of doing food delivery on and off as a part time thing and your channel definitely gives me some food for thought!
Can you go into more details about the apps firstly do all other drivers in the area get the same notifications and is it first come first serve? also do the apps automatically route you to the customer/delivery once you accept the delivery?
It's not first come first served, you get a chance to accept a delivery, its no like a war. However people generally try stay within busy areas to increase the chances of getting pinged but its not 100% clear how their algorithm works. It automatically routes you to the pick up and the drop off. Easy stuff
dude...be interested to know how you mange your tax etc and what your thoughts are of how many hours you would need to work to make it worth while after tax etc. love your videos
Oh man that pocket on the leg cover is perfect for a hand warmer or water bottle haha P.S. I've seen a KFC in Asda too. Wjeres there's space they let out little concession areas
OH MY! I honestly never thought of that!! Great idea!!! Definitely going to look for a premium water bottle! I havnt used one for over 10 years from when I used to go fishing and camping! And that's so weird haha never seen kfc in Asda tbh its a good idea 💡 especially for deliveries
I've been looking into doing uber eats/doordash as a side gig on my new e bike, and seeing these vlogs, from so maney youtubers like you and others are definitely helpful and entertaining!
i dont understand how people who work in asda or mcds etc on min wage and live in london.making 20k a year 16k after tax and nat insurance ..doesnt make sense .
well, if they have a partner then it's 2 salaries together. And not everybody live by themselves. Many people are on house shares., which, well, it's a choice. Some people work more and have their own house but less free time, and other people prefer time over money.
What he is not telling you is if you do it on a ebike you could wait ages for a order moped riders get priority and have to put in about 30 miles a day to earn something decent thats not including going back to restaurant areas
It's good that you've got a vocational job as well. Of course, that £100 you made is gross; you really should post a net income before tax/stamp, taking into account you insurance cost, tyres & brake pads, vehicle depreciation, riding gear etc. Then of course you're self-employed, so you need to roster in an allowance for sickness (when you'll earn nothing) and 4 weeks holiday, when you'll again earn nothing. I'm not trying to be a wet-blanket, just realistic. I'm glad to see you're enjoying yourself anyway...
As a educated electrician It would be SO INTERESTING to see you do the calculation for how much power you consume on your Ebike VS the amount of money being payed to you after taxation. I'm curious to know whetever this even earns that much money in the first place when everything is accounted, meaning lost time - lost power(which you need to buy food to regain) and such. What are your thoughts on this? I myself am a Wolt driver in Danmark, driving a 100km range E-bike
I looked up his bike and it claims to have a range of 44 miles and a capacity of 26Ah@60V, so that's about 35Wh/mi. Electricity in London seems to cost about 34p/kWh, so after some unit conversions I get a cost of just about 1p/mile, or essentially nothing.
Funny how within a month or 2 it's gone from londoners are ordering more to deliveroo is dead like a recent video where its about how little you earned!
Did you decide to go back on Uber Eats? I did JE, UE and Deliveroo full time for around 18 months but found it got super quiet in Glasgow so I’m now an Uber taxi driver 😅
@@antonismith67 I was southside but also did the centre. Definitely easier on a bike but Just Eat is shocking for fares these days so Deliveroo might be best
@@tfairley1187 hi there, but can u get a fiver minimum p/o in Glasgow? I was living in the southside using JE and quite a few places were charging £1.50 to customers for delivery, so I don't think riders can get London amount of £££, or am I wrong? cheers x
It makes me laugh it’s supposed to be a Cost of living crisis but people can afford takeaways? it’s good for you as you earn more money from the orders
I wish £70k was enough to comfortable raising a family. Definitely not really comfortable if you're the main or only earner in the family. Remember at that money you aren't getting any government support so with rent, bills, child care, food you've got nothing left early in the month.
Love the videos, can't believe the tip ratio! Ex hackney boy living in Vegas now. We tip 10 for a 20 order lol. Hustle on brother and good luck with your trade.
Not customers number, it's Deliveroos number that connects you to the customer, it's the same number for every Deliveroo rider. It's there so your number isn't visible to the customer and vice versa.
@@LondonEats It's the same number every time, it just reads your phone number and that's how it can tell which customer to connect to. I keep it saved in my phone as Deliveroo Customer so you can call them using Google Assistant or Siri instead of messing about in the app.
He surely isn't getting rich. Getting lucky and hitting £20/hr for 2.5hrs is not a good primary source of income, and London Eats constantly reminds the viewers that this is a second job on top of working full-time.
why am i finding myself sat binge watching a bloke deliver food lol your good for makin this so madly enjoyable fair play good luck to you
ha, same, I love watching it :-)
£9 delivery for such a tiny order! People in London are loaded

I think it’s because people are already paying £3+ for delivery fees so for a £10 food order it goes to £15 because of the delivery and service fees.
Man, I really want to start doing this now. You've inspired me! I live in Cardiff, so may not be so busy, but going to try!
Plenty students round these ways ordering mate and takeaways
