Diagnosing an intake air heater P0540 on a Duramax Diesel

- This video walks you through the process of my diagnosis of the intake air heater circuit on my LB7 duramax. I also included the wiring diagram for your diagnosis. The most common solutions to this repair include:
Replacing the IAH Relay- This is located on the drivers side close to the firewall in an enclosed box with a black cover on it.
Replacing the IAH itself- This is located on the passenger side intake pipe and has one wire going to it. It's grounded through the frame of the pipe.
Repairing a harness connection for the IAH circuit- This is the tan wire that was the problem in my case. There could be a blown fusable link, an open, or a short
Blown IAH Fuse- Located in the underhood fuse box, this is diesel specific so make sure you're referencing the astericks when looking to find it.
Replaced all 8 of my glow plugs 80 000 kms ago

Are you sure it's not bad glow plugs?
