I finally was clarified between the difference of this two heart rhythms by the help of this video. OMG. Thats very simple! How does our instructor/ school make it so complicated.
Probably because they learned through memorization and not concept; so they don't actually understand the "Why".... I'm currently having same issues with getting tele certified
My first thought was, “aah, it was missing a “p”…how did I missed that?!”. This made it so clear I could cry! Lol I’ve watched most of the vids already and I keep on thinking how I wished I found your channel sooner!
This video was great! I don't know why the explanation on the book I'm reading is so... complicated, you were able to give an extremely clean explanation in just a couple minutes. Thank you so much!
As much as I used to be interested in being an EMT, I used this video to make a concept for a Rhythm Doctor level (a new game around heart rhythm and defibrillation medicine and awesome music). Thank you for putting this into terms anyone can understand.
I'm reminded of an old phrase, concerning blocks/arrests. "You can walk around the BLOCK, but not if you're under ARREST." The block's P waves, even the absent one, will march out.
Can you please tell me what it Is when your heart beats several times really fast then pauses then beats several times again then pauses. This happens to me sometimes when I lay down quickly
Thank you. Quick question: In junctional escape rhythm, while we don't have a P-wave when the post-sinus arrest QRS is produced, we apparently have P-waves in the beats after that. If the SA node is at arrest, can we explain how these normal looking P-waves are produced?
How dangerous is a sinus arrest? Could this lead to death? I experienced a four-and-a-half second pause and wondered what the possible consequences might be for a longer pause. I am an ordinary citizen trying to come to grips with his predicament. The installation of a pacemaker has been recommended but I am resisting. I am 72 years of age and have undergone triple bypass surgery a few years back.
In my 70s. I had a 6.2 second pause! This triggered a 4:00 AM call from My holter monitor guy. He seems surprised when I answered the phone in such a cheerful voice. Yesterday, my Cardiologist told me that I do NOT need a pacemaker or a defibrillator at this time. I was kind of surprised by that! He Is recommending having ablation procedure. I have 1 yr CHF and 1Afib episode 45dayz ago.
@@maryannbrooks7729 i never took any meds in my life. don't think i ever will. i never even knew i had a hart until one day i was all alone and could hear it beat..
Live for today. Wife was told she would likely not survive more than 3 years. That was 13 years ago! She is employed and works everyday. She has a positive attitude and acts as if the doctor told her she only has a cold 😊

This is surely an easy way to know the difference between a sinus block and a sinus arrest. Thank you so much.

Best lecture series I have ever watched
So cool, and incredibly easy to understand. Thank you for this!
Wow, you made it so clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much.

@Enigma McC I ended up in the emergency room one night. It was non sustained V-tach

How is sinus arrhythmia different from sinus block

I am an ordinary citizen trying to come to grips with his predicament. The installation of a pacemaker has been recommended but I am resisting. I am 72 years of age and have undergone triple bypass surgery a few years back.
Well since you've had a bypass then a pacemaker shouldn't bother you !

This was awesome! Thank you so much!
First happens at 25 was misdiagnosed for some years thank god for medtronics implants to catch it
Thank you thousands times
Does the SA node beat from 60-80 bpm or 60-100 bpm? All my NHA books list seem to list 100 bpm as the top end.
After the AV junction takes over will the subsequent beats still have P Waves?
Awesome , thanks.
Nicely explained thank u
excellent...very helpful...thanks a lot
THANK YOU GREAT VIDEO.
The second is not a sinus arrest its a junctional escape beat
PERFECT!!!!
Thank you!
Nnice work......
world-class
Thanks
👏👏👏👏👏
It’s more complicated than this… there are different types of SA exit block , third degree is indistinguishable from sinus arrest
Death is cool cant wait. my hart beats 4-5 beats then 3 second pause then a hard beat allover the place
Did you have to get a pacemaker?
