Interesting story about this video. They went to an abandoned warehouse to shoot this video. In the fight scene some of the people weren’t with him. They were some random people that were in the warehouse. One dude was maybe on something . He had stolen the bats they were using in the video shoot. Ren was talking to him explaining they needed the bats back. The dude said okay I’ll take you to the room I put them in , Ren followed but the bats weren’t there and he lead him through other parts of the warehouse. Ren was starting to wonder if this guy was going to kill him. But he did get the bats back and it all worked out. I guess the dude was too messed up to remember exactly where he stashed the bats.
The thing with Ren is he doesn’t just rap or do storytelling but he can do any genre and he’s good at it all. We never know where he’s taking us. Sometime check out Animal Flow.

You should definitely check out more of Ren's singing. As great a Rapper as he is, he is equally great at singing. He's got a lot of solo stuff, and a band named The Big Push that is it's own separate rabbit hole worth diving head first into.

I think this is one of Ren's best written songs lyrically. The whole song doubles between being ill in a braggadocious way and being ill physically. Ren invites you into his mind in the very beginning and, like Sherlock Holmes, starts exploring. I love how he says his head is Hong Kong soup - basically saying he has noodles for brains because of his brain damage (he doesn't feel so well, things get slurry, speaking slow, etc). He's looking for answers from doctors, but not finding them. He's close to death (knocking on the sky), stuck in an impossible place (there are no corners in a cornea because it's a sphere), and he remains "the illest". It ends quite despairing given it's other bragging side. The whole song cleverly slips between the two sides of his mind. And, as you pointed out, it's an uncomfortable place to be.
I enjoyed that one very introspective and hopefully eye opening for those who take the time to listen to it. As far as people not giving Russ his due. When someone is unique blessed with many skills why would you show up to the table without bringing all your skills?
