Quick Correction: Spinshot is usually done with the A button to be inputted first, and then the Jump Button. In the clip of me flicking my thumb on the controller, you can see me do so. I just switched up the visual inputs on accident for the demonstration. My bad lol
Also for the people you have bad reaction time for using the spin charge when someone is gonna hit you so you can release a imperfect one faster by pressing the R button to release it instantly
For Spin Shot. If youre like me and use both the pro controller, and tilts on the right stick. You can also hold the spin dash button, let go, and immediately flick the analog stick instead. still requires good timing, and its not necessarily "Easy". but it is easier than release, jump, attack
This is a really good guide overall, but one criticism about the spinshot section, there's a way easier method of doing it. If you wait just before it's fully charged all you have to do is flick the c-stick down (assuming that's bound to tilts, I'm pretty sure but that's what you should be doing anyway)
I find timing the C-Stick flick to me saying "HEEEEYEA!" (like Dunkey does in that one video) to be fairly reliable, just thought I'd comment about that lmfao
What an amazing technique, I look forward to seeing Sonic's talented principals use it in practice in the proper way! The main sonic: *timed out everyone* I don't understand, they have too much where to get a fancy game from:(.
you actually dont need to press the A button at all to spinshot, you just need to press the jump button. its the timing that matters since if you do it too late you'll get the weak spinshot and if you do it frame perfect you go straight up.
Thanks for this cool video 😎 Also in one of the Ultimate Salt IS Real videos, I saw a Sonic player do a spin shot but facing BACKWARDS with the forward momentum. I wonder how to do that
I’m sorry to break it to you, but we discovered this tech years ago. appreciate the update on a video for tech like this but some of us might be clear.
when I try to do the areal spin pivot sonic does changes direction but doesn’t get momentum, like at all and I fail to do the wave bounce , so whatever that I do sonic just get up but not right or left, can someone help me ?
just wanted to let you know there's an error in your title, you put "sonic" and "cool" in the same sentence, which is a fair typo to make, but still needs to be pointed out
Bro I play k rool. As sonic you hold left and right and invalidate my neutral. That shit ain’t that hard. (Yes I know as a k rool player I’m not the end all be all of technical input skill)

1:44 That Sonic F smash jumpscare killed me XD

Love the style of the video W stuff bro
2:35 that transition was cool asf
1:34 got me. A fellow Sonic main presses the sub button.

Good call! I find myself sometimes using other buttons for these techs as well.

Didn't know about spring bouncing. Might need to try that out
i liked you showing me the spring bouncing dair stuff and now i do it whenever i play sonic
6:43 Homing attack missed an idle character lol
i never use homing attack on short characters out of fear of that happening.

Just watched the whole video and had a good time watching it. Nice guide!
Also thanks for the shout-out lmao

Bro, you deadass just gave me the ability to do it because of my weird ass control layout, thank you
the hardest one for me is the wavebounce aerial pivot 😭especially online
Gotta love it
this is some good shit my fellow toot toot sonic warriah
Nice
Dam this guy talks the perfect way about this cool tech
great video
6:59 😂 *GAME!*
If you want to cheese someone at 70% use weak nair into f smash
Thanks for this cool video 😎

Wavebounce Spinshot??
@CineTurbo32X yeah probably, it does sound like it's possible when you call it that (also I'm pretty sure he did it with down b)
@@DeskianDo you remember which Ultimate Salt is Real vid it is? That sounds interesting
@BananaBandit336 no sorry, I was looking for it
@@Deskian It's alright. Still an interesting thing to think about
I literally cant do the spin shot no matter how hard i try
You can buffer jump in spindash hop after a double jump. ;)
The speed is stored Inside the ball
get out
i flick my c-stick for the spinshot. way easier for me imo
You say sonic movement tech and i think of sonic unleashed speedruns(quickstep spamming specifically)
I think you mean spindash 2
2:50 i use it without pressing a
I’m sorry to break it to you, but we discovered this tech years ago. appreciate the update on a video for tech like this but some of us might be clear.
Pls help! What's the best way to shoot out of spin charge? Like spinshot but from down B instead of side B.
next video can you show how you can airdodge through a spring?
You just spam airdodge down and it will work

nvm it’s just really hard to get
its so hard doing it on pro controller
first time ive heard "sonic" and "cool" in the same sentence
Crazy how the tech was actually cool though
"Sonic" and "cool" have been in the same sentence since his conception
@@TheOrcKatariong
How did I get this tech 5:10 first try but struggle so much with spinshot lol (does spinshot not work with stick jump?)
I bet it could be done with Stick Jump, but I don't know if it'd feel really comfortable. I'll try it though!
Is the input spindash -> jump + a ?
@njyoung4373 yeah, but it has to be quick

A n64 controller!?
Nah, it's the inputs for Gamecube Controller. It'd be funny if people do play Ultimate on a N64 Controller though
First to see this masterpiece
HIS combos weak
why tf did sakurai give him this shit :(((
