Sometimes is really hard to find motivation and I think this video is very helpful, because with it you realize what are you doing wrong, in that way you can improve that and finally find what you’re looking for ✨MOTIVATION✨
I’m motivated by: Self-hatred, a desire to fit in, to please others and feel accepted by people i look up to. Also: Ego, Insecurity, and boredom

I don't know about you but $30 is still a lot of money
+Khairul Kafee depends on what you are spending it on
+leopardXz Gas lol
+Khairul Kafee exactly, I feel the experment might be a little flawed because for some people $30 can feel as much of a big reward as other people feel about $300
Keep in mind the study was conducted on MIT students who I imagine already pay a hefty sum for their their tuition and most likely come from upper class families. To them $30 is in most cases like one week of their childhood allowance
lol humble beginnings
"Like that assignment that's due tomorrow" Heh, totally not procrastinating rn...
I made a resolution to die this year, because I never complete my resolutions.
Hmm...
Ok you won't die because you don't make your resolutions!!! YAY NO SUICIDE!

Now I see why it's sometimes better not to achieve and make your dreams come true. You're no help Shia LaBeouf.
greg and mitchell! your videos also make me feel so happy no matter how crappy my day has been, thankyou so much ❤️❤️
Steps to complete your goals:
1. Define your goal as clearly and realistically as you can, and write it down.
2. Define small steps you can actually do every day, to eventually accomplish your goal, and write them all down.
3. Every time you make a small step, check it off of your written list of steps.
4. Revise your plan when needed.
5. When your list is about halfway checked off, go back to step 1 and write down a new goal that is dependant on the previous goal. and start the process again.
If you feel overwhelmed, remember that you can always have many different goals, and take small steps towards each of them, with overlap.

Truth
+Immajeanyus Come up with a way to trick yourself into feeling like the things you know you need to do to get your degree feels like something enjoyable
you again!! lol
+Immajeanyus Are you getting your degree because that's what you *want* to be doing? Or are you getting it because you feel you *have to* to be successful in life? Sounds to me like the latter.
Fun and play get you no where xD
That you realized that you are procrastinating and now doing something about it (watching this video) is a start so don’t give up and sorry for bad English
my motivation in life is to get best grades possible, get a degree in genetics, work as a geneticist in London and get a nobel prize, (preferably for research on prolonging life and the key to potential immortality)
That last one is almost definitely not going to happen.
Boglenight I know, but you should dream big, you will most likely not achieve the goal but you will go further than just stopping when you accomplish an easier goal
Purple Demon
Fair enough.
***** there should be at least one rich and greedy person who wants immortality
Purple Demon
I want immortality and I'm neither rich nor greedy, I just love this world and want to experience absolutely everything it has to offer.
Imagining success and the obstacles to it simultaneously is what I automatically do when I really, really, really want something. I guess it boils down to that.
do people seriously do "new year's resolutions"?
+JSG It's an excuse for lazy people to try and start something they should have done a long time ago. They then realise that requires doing work they don't want to do and lose motivation (Hence why gym memberships tend to last for only a few weeks before going unused.)
They don't last to the end of January xD
+JSG Of course. Lots of people set their goals too high though, so they give up really quickly. I like to pick something simple that's easier to stick with. Like, instead of resolving to become a master of drawing, just resolve to draw a little bit every day.
+JSG iDo i started Jan 1st so far I feel like Arnold prime Already
+JSG apparently, yes. But why don't just set a goal, when you think about achieving it? Because a new year, week or a certain day is treated as a motivator by them, but it prevents them to achieve the goal by not just doing it. It's actually an excuse for not doing it now, so you're better off doing it now or not. Just my two cents :)
I found a good way to re-motivate. May not do it for everything but see videos of people that achieved their goals. Example, I like animating and drawing so I went to watch my favorite anime, etc
If you're reading this
You're smart! I appreciate you! I've changed... A lot! Another one!

Agreed.
Success stems from self-confidence which in turn is attained through preparation. That my friends is the key.
its time to stop procrastinating
+KM DRAWING (KacperM) I'll do it tomorrow.

+KM DRAWING (KacperM) Noooooooo. I'm really good at it.
I'm supposed to be revising for Geography. But its soooooo boring -.-
What i learned- make sure you do the things you enjoy or learn how to enjoy the things you do. Rewards dont work well with problem solving as it can be distracting. Make sure to be realistic. Too much positive thinking is gratifying and makes your brain think you already have whatever you want.

Now after this video I am going to implement for many things that tell me to have a reward so I can try harder
Great skills loved..
Watching this in quarantine because even with all the time in the world, I still choose to procrastinate on my schoolwork
Lol he drew a guy dabbing
This is one of the best and among the most important videos anyone can watch.
I should by studying
I’m motivated because I don’t want to get left behind by my peers or people younger then me. I want to achieve higher than others so if they do better than me I naturally start doing better to best that person.
I don't even have the motivation to shower, the only times I can is when I absolutely have to for school
I just lost motivation but kept working because I just watched UA-cam videos while working out. This shit worked so well because I just combine two thing into one
But whats the motivation of science
+MikeGaming curiosity
what...?
having fun with no reward.

Love the point about working out. I got a gym membership a few months back and I struggled. I started trying new machines and I found one that is fun and let's me watch Netflix while working out and it has made going to the gym so much more enjoyable and easier to do!
Or you can just save the game. Then you'll be filled with determination.

this is really good.

One big motivator for me is ignoring second thoughts. "But I'm so tired" "I can do this tomorrow/later", if you ignore your feelings and literally JUST DO IT, it's always 100% success. Spend that thinking and planning time instead on trying and doing instead.
@AsapSCIENCE Hey you guys should do a video on what happens when you don't eat enough fruit and vegetables. What you guys think good idea?
this video...it fills you, with DETERMINATION.
I KNOW I WAS MOTIVATED TO COMPLETE MY LAST CARTOON ABOUT POKEMON, FETTY WAP, AND DJ KHALED! ITS HILARIOUS AND I JUST POSTED IT TODAY!!
This comment has aged terribly
New Year's resolutions are basically the same as a certain day from that on you start doing something, but didn't want to do it before, because you haven't got enough motivation for doing it immediately and set a date that makes up the motivation by thinking something like "leaving everything I've done wrong in the past year behind". Then they are often setting the goals too high, similar to the other extreme of doing something wrong like drinking the large soda and then eating the large ice cream. The problem here is not ACCEPTING MISTAKES, cause reality is different than our imagination and we are always doing mistakes so that we can improve. I think every individual is perfect; it's just our beliefs and expectations that lead us to think that we are not perfect, because we do mistakes. But that actually is a property that makes us perfect, cause we learn from it.
i can never feel motivated,
Which is why im failing so bad

from the research I have done it also seems that discipline is as important, if not more. So instead of trying to say 'motivate' yourself into running just force yourself into a run. When the physical activity begins it gets a lot easier.
Vergil: Show me your motivation.
Great, posting this just before school starts
Optimistic thoughts let you stay in the situation that you are suffering to overcome and make you get used to it , ha! So negative thoughts are bad as we know, too! How can we approach something without even thinking about it ? ( Just for fun , please )
Motivation is fleeting, discipline is permanent.
