My husband and I have watched and followed your journey Kris, now we are back to the beginning to see your early work. You have to be proud of your achievements, I know that I am.
I have always wanted to have a table made exactly like this. I wanted to have it so that I can always change out the center peace. I can't believe someone else designed a table that I I've always wanted to have. Great work by the way.
This table is really well designed. Every piece is clearly labeled, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW and the instructions are perfectly displayed, so it's really hard to mess up the assembly. The hardware is likewise clearly labeled. If I had a power driver, assembly time would have been cut in half, but I didn't mind the light workout. My only qualm is that is that the lift top is wobbly in between its open and closed positions, but that's really a minor complaint. For the price, you really can't get much better than this, hence the five-star review. I use it primarily for my wireless mouse and keyboard so that I can use my PC from the couch. Storage is nice. I'm totally happy with this purchase.
+Tyler Morgan thanks, i agree i would use clear if it was for myself but this was for a customer and she wanted it to match her other furniture. in her very light flat you will see the grain still quite well. more so than you can tell from the video. but i must say i agree with you. thanks for watching. kris
I kind of like the smoked glass and I think because you have the window causing glare from that angle one might get more of a mirrored effect than in an evenly lit flat. Nice piece all the way around, good design, good build, beautiful wood!
Great video mate. You did a really good job. I like the tinted glass but I'd probably go a bit lighter (maybe half way between that tint and clear) if I made it for myself. But it probably fits your customer's room better this way.
You're living the dream, well at least my dream lol. I'm currently considering all the aspects of a van conversion for touring and an off grid house for permanent residence. It would be great if you could give some insight or create a video regarding any thing you've learned along the way that you would have done differently with your current knowledge? I also noticed that you haven't made a video showing how your internet connection works, very curious. I also value the knowledge that comes with having internet access, but your channel has all the simple necessities to creating a comfortable life in one place. It's great that your contributing knowledge back into the internet, so you should turn the ads on my man ;)
Parabéns pela peça, ficou muito lindo, minha opinião se você colocasse um vidro transparente iria dar mais detalhe da madeira, mais mesmo assim ficou muito lindo.
+J DeWitt DIY hey buddy, sorry it has taken so long to reply i have been in wales building. it took me about 7 days in total. it was not an easy build. im sure it could be done faster with a fully operational workshop. but for me with my tools and facilities it took alot of hours. kris
DIY Harbor Hey Kris, yeah, all you have is the floor in that breezeway for a shop, so I can't fault you for not being able to crank it out in a day. Nice job regardless. By "working in Wales" I hope you mean working on the roundhouse you're building? I'm enjoying those videos a lot! Thanks.
+kha sab yeah I came up with how to build the table and mount the log but the idea and design was nothing to do with me. I do like it though. I would just have clear glass that's all.

so many minor details to be calculated for such a beautiful work of art. Amazing guy and exceptional working skills

I’m so I love with this design!!!! I can just imagine a huge amethyst underneath. Beautiful work
Love the build! My only criticism would be that the tinted glass takes away from the beautiful piece of wood.

+DIY Harbor: Kris Harbour an LED strip lighting might look sweet to make the wood pop
I kind of like the smoked glass and I think because you have the window causing glare from that angle one might get more of a mirrored effect than in an evenly lit flat.
Nice piece all the way around, good design, good build, beautiful wood!
I have no criticism, outstanding job.
Random person walking past Kris welding: "Arghhh! My eyes!!!" 😂
Swap out the smoke glass to clear. Otherwise nicely done.
I was thinking the same, but in a well-lit room in the daytime or with a table lamp at night it most likely shows the wood nicely.
Gorgeous!
Get your self some 90 magnets make quick work of that awesome job just prof you don’t need a crazy work shop to make something breath taking
Great video mate. You did a really good job. I like the tinted glass but I'd probably go a bit lighter (maybe half way between that tint and clear) if I made it for myself. But it probably fits your customer's room better this way.
Nice idea, design and job. Kudos.
Beautiful work! I'm sure it was your client that decided on tinted glass. I hope you made more with clear glass in the future.
Good table
awesome, great design
Very very very Good. Thumbs up!

Yea nice job...but I think clear glass would have been better.....
My thoughts exactly... whats the point of all that work just to hide it with a tinted piece of glass...
@@dopechief1901 customer request mate.
Parabéns pela peça, ficou muito lindo, minha opinião se você colocasse um vidro transparente iria dar mais detalhe da madeira, mais mesmo assim ficou muito lindo.
Love it!! Nice job😊
great work dude
Nice! I dig the finish on the slab, what did you use?
just curious why you would make that beautiful piece of wood, only to cover it up with tinted glass?
Everybody just hung to know what car the carkey fits in :D A Lambo or maybe a Rolls?
very good work
Buddy I work in my bssement. I hear where you come from..dedication
What did you use for the feet???
nice job.
Very nice
Thanks for sharing.
Bravo! What is a welding machine?
good job
Maybe you should commission yourself to make a table for your table saw, ya think??
Beautiful. What kind of finish did you use on that log?
🌺💗🌸 LIKED & SUBSCRIBED 🌸💗🌺
Beautiful table, good job! How long did this take you from start to finish?

Nicely done. I would use a welding blanket or something to block the passerbys from the arc light.
hey how do you hide those welds? just by grinding?
Nice job, but you need one work bench.
Hi! What did you use to clean and treat the iron?
What brand and type of sawing table / machine do you use?
What blade are you using on your chop saw
Fucking hell Kris .. 06:15 nice BMW in the background there .... LOL's
lindo parabéns
Did the customer like the end result?
+Zawazuki yes she was very happy with it. it looks nice in there posh flat
+Kris Harbour it looks shit with tinted galss
8:53 the rolling kitten
That is sam, he has been my best buddy for 9 years now.
IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE GLASS WAS NOT TINTED
I think his real issue is lack of space
Mabye you schuld bild a work table, so you don't have to crawl around on the floor all the time.,
gg
maybe you should make a work bench first. it was hard to watch.
man, you need to make a workbench for yourself, before making a coffee table for someone else.
Yo Dude!! You need to speak and tell the story man,,, or at least play some music bro wtf? boring AF!! lol...
Are those paw paw seedlings?
parabéns pelo seu trabalho ficou muito bom.
The work is great as usual but the design is awful. I presume the person who commissioned it gave you the design.
+kha sab yeah I came up with how to build the table and mount the log but the idea and design was nothing to do with me. I do like it though. I would just have clear glass that's all.
Beautiful job,but on my opinion the dark glass better to change by normal glass will look more reach♡
Awesome job - I personally would have kept the original metal look though, just shine it up.
I would have loved to see clear glass to show off that beautiful slab underneath. The design itself is great though. Super clean and very well built.
Amazingly creative and the smoked glass is perfect for it.
se o vidro force transparente ficaria melhor
Que bien te quedó, felicitaciones
very nice work & design !!
So beautiful !
